Great pizza, cooked perfectly !! Good choices of Pizza, salads and anything else you may want

This place is a serious hidden gem! You walk in and the atmosphere is cozy and quaint, with pretty decor and architecture. You seat yourself, and the wait staff are quick, proactive, and wonderfully friendly. The place is hopping. and for good reason! though the waitress was still timely and quick and made excellent conversation. The food was PHENOMENAL. PHENOMENAL. The taco pizza was just as delicious as messy (which is a compliment), abs the fries we ordered as an appetizer were so good it wasn't even funny. They also gave me a side of ceaser when I asked, which as a ranch hater, always bonus points. on top is all this, it was incredibly cheap. Coffee and soda. a small taco pizza, and a cheesy bacon fries appetizer was only 35 dollars! 10/10, next time i'm in the area I will absolutely be coming back. read more

When we walked in the line for pickup was to the door and most of the tables full. It was my husband birthday and we had a long travel day with our 5th wheel RV. We had t had pizza for awhile and decided to give it a try. We ordered a large meat lovers with mushrooms. There was only one person running register and taking orders so we did have to wait awhile to place our order. Once the pizza came it was so good. The crust had a crisp crunch and soft inside with good flavor. Toppings were great loved the fresh bacon. Now I know for a small town why this little pizza place on a Thursday night was so busy read more

The food was amazing full of favor. The service was excellent very attentive. Clean spot.

Stopped in for dinner and was greeted promptly and told to sit wherever we'd like. Server appeared quickly to provide menus and take our drink order. Drinks arrived and we placed our order; pulled pork macaroni and cheese (one of their specials) with a house salad, French onion soup, chef's salad and a side order of bread. Things were pretty slow and the side salad came out and was large with big chunks of tomato, loads of red onion and nice fresh spring mix of greens. And a basket of bread showed up, not the side order one. The soup didn't show for a long time. Our server, who was very pleasant and helpful, explained that the kitchen was short staffed. Given how busy they were with takeout orders as well as diners you could see how they got backed up. Soup was good which I didn't expect. Not loaded with a lot of onions but it had good beef flavor. Cheese was a little lacking but there were plenty of croutons for the cheese to sit upon. The chef's salad arrived and it was loaded with plenty of protein. Must have been at least a pound and a half including ham, roast beef, turkey, and Swiss cheese. Again there was a huge amount of mixed greens and cucumbers. Red onions would have been a good addition. Had the blue cheese dressing and it tasted like it came out of a store bought bottle. Very little blue cheese flavor and tony chunks of blue cheese. And the side order of bread showed up almost twice the size of the first basket of bread. Bread itself was run of the mill variety, nice and soft with plenty of butter. The pulled bork Mac and cheese was a large serving with plenty of pork on it. Pork was good but the Mac and cheese were a little on the blah side. The pork added flavor to the cheese sauce but the dish without the pork wasn't that flavorful. Overall it was a good visit and we'll go back again to try some of the other menu items. Seating is all booths unless you want to sit outside where they have a number of tables and chairs. Based on the amount of diners coming in and the takeout orders going out it's clear that this is a very favorite place to get dinner from. read more

Stopped here for lunch - they had a Gyro plate and I had been craving one! For $14, it comes with a gyro, a spinach pie (spanakopita), fries, and a salad. The gyro was delicious, there was a generous portion of flavorful meat, topped with tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki on a fresh pita. Would definitely get this again. Next time I'd stick to just the Gyro (not plate). I didnt love the fries, but I am not a huge fan of fries in the first place. The salad was good and a large portion. However my biggest complaint was the spinach pie. The filling tasted almost chemically - I was only able to take a couple bites before tossing it. read more

I was pleasantly surprised at their food for takeout! Their pizza was a medium crust but was very delicious and hit the spot with the doughy crust. The salad also was very well made. Great place for takeout. read more

Village Pizza is good for a number of reasons. They have a wide variety of solid offerings and if you place a takeout order it's often ready very quickly. The atmosphere is basic and the food is good but not great. But almost everyone can find something on this menu that will satisfy their cravings. read more

Great food. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. We go there at least twice a month. Very happy with their service too.

Great neighborhood place. Typical Greek style pizza place. A little bit of everything. Sandwiches, wraps, salads, gyros. All pretty decent. Good stuff. read more

While their pizza was good, their chicken cutlet grinder was not. It was dry and lacked flavor. The cutlet was too thick and tough, thinner and crisp would have been better. read more

Sometimes I just crave the pizza here. It is not your typical pizza- more like a pan pizza. But it's uniqueness is what sets it apart. I especially love the pepperoni pizza- loaded with pepperoni that gets slightly crisped in the oven. And lots of cheese. The crust is a bit too bread-like for me- I like a chewier crust. But it's not bad. I'll go here a few times each year when I'm in the mood for a pizza that rocks the pepperoni! read more

Was told take out for 2 grinders would be 30 min. Waited for 50 min while the waitress said "sorry just a few more minutes" and got completely cold food, not even mildly warm. The last few times we have had takeout has been a total fail, I don't think we will be back. read more

This has to be the best gluten-free crust I have had yet. Very good and a nice crisp to it. My husband had the buffalo chicken pizza. He said it had a lot of flavor, very good. We usually get the taco pizza, an absolute fav of ours. read more

Our local go to. The food is fresh, nothing fancy but awesome quality & great service. The salads are loaded with ingredients & are very shareable. Great food and very consistent staff is friendly and helpful. Taco pizza is amazing. Remodel looks great

Food is average at best. Over priced but they get away with it because there really aren't many other options close by. You have to be very specific with the way you want your food made because they really don't know what they're doing in all honestly. For example, who cooks cheese on top of your lettuce on a hot sub / grinder. I mean seriously? The pizza has so much cheese on it that it all comes falling off with your first bite so make sure to ask to go light on the cheese, but then again when you do that the cheese is minimal. Whoever is in charge of the cooking needs to be replaced. They own the whole building & property & the building is in desperate need of updating as well as the horrible parking lot that just keeps getting patched to only break down again within a month but they're too cheap to to actually have anything properly fixed. That's a clear sign alone that they really don't care about the quality of their food. With all that said, the staff is fairly friendly with the exception of them messing up your change when you pay so make sure to pay by card. No need to give a tip as their prices are so high that the tip should already be considered to be included with their higher than average prices that aren't justified by "ok" food. read more

Really good customer service. Staff is always courteous and friendly. I am vegan so I can only really rate pizza with no cheese, and salads. They're very accommodating. I asked if they could make something off their menu, a wrap with all their veggies and they were happy to do so! They make a great pizza with no cheese! The sauce is good, all all the veggies are fresh! read more

Having a birthday as a kid during Covid sucks. I thought I'd cheer my son up with some pizza. The staff was friendly and they were not busy so I was in and out quick. Call me crazy, but isn't pizza supposed to come hot?!? My pizza was barely lukewarm. I had to go home and throw it on my pizza stone and heat up my house with the oven! I definitely don't think I should have had to do that for a $23 pizza!!!! read more

OK - I don't expect Pepe's quality pizza at every joint but the pizza here was well below par. It's hard to see exactly what your getting as they have about 10 watts of light for the whole place. I thought the sauce was too sweet and the crust was kind of hard to chew. Cheese was non-descript. Again, not the every pizza place has to be awesome but at least make a solid effort. read more

Was directed here after a round of golf at local course as place to go for food and drinks. When you find it, you will notice a sign that says "Two Doors Down" which is actually a bar that is connected to the pizzeria. This is where we ate and this review is based on. Both spots are in a non-descript strip mall on major road in Moodus. Not much to look at from the outside. Upon entering on the Two Doors side of the establishment, you will find a very dark ambience. The place is very clean, mind you, but it certainly has dive / sports bar for the locals vibe all over it. For a random Wednesday evening, it actually had a decent sized crowd. Bar was standing room only and only 1-2 tables left with available seats. Sox game on 4-5 strategically placed TVs around the room. May have been 1-2 people working front. Bartender actually came over and served us at table. Very friendly guy and willing to offer his candid opinions on what to get. Three of us ordered separately and got a stromboli, calzone, and personal pie. Everything came out promptly and the calzone and stromboli were huge. I got the stromboli with pepperoni and it was awesome. Would definitely order again. As we are talking bar, I should comment on the drinks, but I only had water after a day of drinking on the course and my friends had mixed drinks which they didn't say anything about. Judging by taps and such, I would say this place will satisfy your basic requirements, but don't go expecting a crazy selection of beers or elaborate mixed drinks. Overall positive experience and would come again for that stromboli if given the chance. read more
