I'm back to a great Italian restaurant. It is located on 124 Hebron Avenue in Glastonbury, CT in a commercial complex. The Happy Hour here is good! There's a good selection of food and quality cocktails. It's only 3PM-5PM so get here early. My sister also likes their GF pizza (with pepperoni). The pizza kitchen is an open one. The music is definite oldies in here. Disco Inferno! For my first drink, I'm having an Our Negroni made with Beefeater Gin, Campari, sweet vermouth and San Pelligrino Arancitta. Pelligrino Arancitta is an unusual ingredient. Sanpellegrino Aranciata is the original sparkling orange drink from Italy. I've never seen this in a Negroni other than at here. It is served quickly, garnished nicely with an orange wheel and a rosemary leaf (also odd). What a nice touch! They are quick to drop off a complementary ice water. For my first food item, I'm having the Chopped Antipasto Salad made with to subs lettuce, provolone cheese, Genoa salami, string beans (that's new), tomatoes, chick peas (that's different) and Parmesan cheese. They use cloth napkins and metal utensils. That's always a good sign. This is a good sized portion! I remember it as being much smaller before (I could be wrong). All the ingredients are quite fresh. It tastes great! For my next food item, I'm having the Our Meatballs made with parmigiano and garlic bread crumbs (per the Happy Hour menu). These are really the MY AUNT JOSIE'S MEATBALLS (just one less) made with stracciatella, mozzarella, toasted breadcrumbs and EVOO (per the Dinner Menu). These came out quick! They are piping hot! Oh yeah! These are delicious! Sauce is great too! For my next drink, I'm having The Spicy Mango. This is made with Tanteo Jalapeño tequila and Patron Mango Citrone. I'm hoping for a fresh jalapeño garnish. Let's see if they have it. Nope! But, the bartender offered a Tajin rim. Good idea! There a good crowd in here and it's nut even 4PM yet. The bar is full including the two high tops. This tastes great! It's nicely garnished with a lime wheel and has a huge Tajin rim. It's has a little kick to it too! For my next food item, I'm having the Grilled Artichoke. This is made with crushed hazelnuts, lemon and Parmesan cheese. This is definitely a unique item you can't get anywhere else. These is good! I love the salad! Love those hazelnuts! What a unique dish! For my next food item, I'm having the Roasted Prosciutto Wrapped Dates. These are made with Gorgonzola cheese, toasted pumpkin seed and raw Brussels sprouts salad. These are great! Crunchy on the outside. I move that salad! Wow! They're playing Born to Be Alive by Patrick Hernandez. I've never heard that in a restaurant. He's a one hit wonder! For my next drink, I'm having the Venetian Martini. This is made with Absolut Citron, Aperol, Prosecco and lime juice. It's is nicely garnished and tastes great! It is strong too. You can taste the alcohol let me yell you! For my next item, I'm having the Happy Hour Cheeseburger (cooked medium) made with lettuce, tomato, provolone and a brioche bun. I'm not leaving here without it! This burger is huge! I love dill pickles and ketchup! This is delicious! For my last drink, Mercedes is making me a Mercedes Manhattan. Look at this masterpiece! A Manhattan is a classic, spirit-forward cocktail made with whiskey (traditionally rye or bourbon), sweet vermouth, and Angostura bitters, stirred with ice and served in a chilled glass, typically garnished with a maraschino cherry or lemon twist. It's known for its balanced, complex flavor, with rye providing spice and bourbon offering sweetness, and variations exist using different spirits or vermouths. This is absolutely perfect! It's perfect garnished with an orange peel, two maraschino cherries and a sprig of rosemary. It is perfectly balanced. There simply is no better than this. It has a hint of chocolate in it. I like the square ice cube to slow the dilution process. They just played Waterloo by ABBA. I haven't heard that in decades! I just noticed that the lights dim as the night goes on. For dessert, I'm having the Vanilla Creme Brulee with a chocolate chip cookie. Hold the phone here! This was served in UNDER ONE MINUTE! I'm told they just torch it. I'm impressed! I think that's a record! I love the confectionery sugar sprinkle! Damn! This is good! No vanilla bean on the bottom (not everyone does that). Wait! I see it. It's on the edges! This is delicious! It's a good portion for sure! The last item is a GF pepperoni pizza for my sister. This is a rare treat she gets once (or twice a year). This place is the best! read more

Updated review on 3/4/2026. They added a new menu item; linguine with chopped clams. It is sooooooo delicious! Perfectly cooked linguine in a thick lemon, butter sauce with chopped clams and parsley. The thick sauce makes this dish because every bite packs flavor. I also had the fresh baked apple cobbler with vanilla gelato for dessert and it's divine. I came here with a large party of almost 20 people. They were able to accommodate the party size. The service was great. Our drinks, appetizers, and entrees came out fairly quickly. Everything I tried was delicious. I got the Strawberry Fields Margarita specialty cocktail. The complimentary bread they put on the table was warm, soft, and flavorful. I went to Bricco twice in one week because I couldn't stop craving their penne alla vodka with shrimp -- it's that good! The pasta and shrimp are perfectly cooked, the sauce rich and flavorful. As always, they start you off with delicious complimentary bread. The first time, a friend and I shared a bottle of Cabernet and split the penne since we didn't want a heavy late dinner -- the portion was perfect for sharing. I went back a few days later with my girls, and it was just as good the second time. We started with beef carpaccio. Omg! So good with the shaved Parmesan and crispy capers. I ordered the penne again (couldn't resist!). It was a generous portion. I brought home more than half -- it reheated beautifully. I paired it with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc that was crisp and delicious. My daughters ordered the spinach fettuccine and fettuccine carbonara and loved both. Service is always warm and attentive -- loved that Emily would stop in to check on us even though she wasn't our waitstaff. Little touches like that really make the experience stand out. What a gem! Every time we come here, we are never disappointed. The drinks, food, and atmosphere are simply the best. We highly recommend this place for all ages! Came here for lunch with coworkers. This was my 1st time here and I was impressed. Inside was cozy with dim lighting. The tables were nicely spread out. The waitress and waiter were attentive. The food came out on time. We started with the calamari and fig pizza, it was both delicious. I never had a fig pizza and now it's my new favorite. It was tangy and sweet. What a great spot we found ... Another place we wanted to try only did take out so we searched and this place was only 2-3mins down the road. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. My friend and I were seated right away. We made it just in time for happy hour. We ordered several delicious items off their happy hour menu. The meatballs were delightful. Moist, flavorful and a good size. The artichoke was ok. My friend actually loved it and the little salad that came underneath. We both enjoyed the happy hour salad. We picked up 2 Happy Hour pizzas. Every time the food is the same high quality! Bricco does accommodate and take my allergy seriously. I am thrilled to enjoy a full course meal that has GF options all around. Not sure if it's the drinking water in Glastonbury, or some sort of social movement, but when we walked into Bricco for a 1:00 Thursday lunch, the weekend seemed well underway as the place was jam packed to a Saturday night level. The restaurant is classy and gorgeous, service was professional and attentive, and the food was great. As we perused the lunch menu, we were greeted with some excellent complimentary focaccia bread. The lunch menu includes appetizer, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, entrees, and pasta groupings. We went into the sandwich section and locked in on a Spicy Honey Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich ($17) on a toasted brioche bun, with tomato jam, coleslaw, and fries for me. My wife chose a Chicken Cutlet Grinder ($15) with fried peppers, plum tomato sauce and provolone cheese. The chicken on both sandwiches were a very generous portion and both were tender and juicy and pretty much perfect. My sandwich was excellent, and the Spicy Honey Chicken sure delivered their promised flavors! I also very much enjoyed the soft brioche and the fries. We both had half our meals for lunch and finished them up on Saturday. We had a family dinner at Bricco in West Hartford in November, and clearly both restaurants are very impressive. read more

We have returned here many times over the past five years and have never been disappointed. Love going for late lunch when things have quieted down. Menu has so many choices there's no need for dinner after. Yesterday in addition to the complimentary foccacia and olive oil we split the whipped ricotta with honey and herbs. My latest visit was a Friday night and it was packed - so make a reservation! Thankfully when we walked in another party canceled so we got a table almost immediately. Our server was exceptional. She clearly knew both the dinner and drink menu well. I ordered a Manhattan and I must say it was one of the best ones I've ever had. So good that I ordered another one. Unfortunately something was not right about the second order but our server quickly replaced it and the new one was just good as the first - crisis averted! For dinner I had the scallops which was a great portion size and cooked to perfection. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals as well. I tried a slice of the flatbread and thought it was really good too. My friend and I went to Bricco Trattoria Friday night for dinner. We got there about 40 minutes before they closed and really appreciated the restaurant staff not making us feel rushed and had amazing service by our waiter Jason. I loved that the menu had an espresso martini menu! We both ordered espresso martinis that were good and had cute garnishes. For appetizer, I tried the tomato basil soup which tasted like it had taco seasoning in it. I did not like it. For entree, we both had the chicken parm with vodka sauce. It tasted very good, we just expected the sauce to be thicker since it was pretty watery. For dessert, we had the chocolate hazelnut mousse cake which was tasty. This was our first time at Bricco's ,and we were promptly seated in a cozy area with the walls lined with their wine bottles. We started off with their house made Focaccia bread. My wife ordered the Pene Alla Vodka with chicken. She absolutely loved her meal. I ordered Chicken Parmesan with their house made cavatelli pasta with Aunt Josie's sauce. The tomato sauce was one of the best I ever had. The chicken parm was two thick pieces of moist chicken, the cavatelli was cooked perfectly, and the had a touch of bread crumbs sprinkled in. I also paired my diner with a nice glass of pino noir. For desert we ordered their house made cannoli. This place crushes it! I moved out of state three years ago and loved this place then and every time I return, they do not disappoint. We had everything tonight...encrusted tuna, squid ink, salmon, pizza, and cocktails. The place was packed on a Wednesday and everything was on point! The waiter may have taken a few extra minutes to initially greet us because he was slammed which was completely understood, and the food did not take extremely long and all was delicious! My wife and I had a rare Sunday alone in Glastonbury at lunchtime and we called Bricco's number. Bricco is a very stylish restaurant. As I sit here at home under-caffeinated, I have a hard time thinking of a more well appointed area restaurant. Service was first rate during our visit as well. Chicken Milanese is a perfect lunch for me and I was happy to see it on the menu. Part healthy salad. Part comfort food. The outer texture of the chicken was crispy, but not overly so. The inner texture was tender. Bricco had a couple of unique twists. One was a tasty lemon butter sauce on the crispy chicken. The other was marinated peppers in the acidic Italian greens salad. We came here for a family dinner of 6 recently. We were immediately seated without reservations before it got busy. I will have to be honest, our server was nice, BUT he was forgetful and few times. Besides that I will go into details about my experience and my overall opinion. We all ordered clam chowder because I heard it was very delicious. I was very hesitant when my fiancé ordered these. Who orders chicken wings at an Italian place right? Boy, I was surprised! The sauce on the chicken wings were delicious. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly, the wings were not on steroids like some other places, and I believe the ranch dressing was made in house as well. It def didn't taste like ranch from a bottle for sure. I def would come here to order this and the chowder alone. It was my favorite out of every thing we ordered. We also ordered the friend calamari, it was cooked well, and that aloili sauce was paired very well with it. I could not complain. Even the marina sauce was good. For entrees multiple people ordered the baked rigatoni with sausage or chicken. For me, it was alright. I can eat it, but I wouldn't order it for myself. Maybe as a shared meal to taste as a side. The others really enjoyed it since it's their favorite dish on the menu. In addition we also ordered a children's burger with fries. Asked for medium rare and the burger came out well done. The server was able to take it back and got a new burger that came out proper. Wish he would left the plate so my nephew can eat the fries and bring out a new burger. Oh well, it is what it is. The menu does say it has barbecue sauce and mustard. It's just not quite balanced so it runs more sweet instead of a balance. This was our second visit to Bricco and this time we brought friends. Another fantastic meal!!! Our reservation was at 4pm.... The beginning of the dinner service. We ordered two meatball appetizers, the whipped ricotta and the Italian street corn. The meatballs.... Still the best we've ever had!! So tender and flavorful!!! The whipped ricotta is delicious and a little bit sweet. The corn... what a surprise!!!! I was a bit worried because Calabrian chili can be very spicy but it was combined with some dairy that really toned it down but allowed the flavor to shine!! The only issue is that is came as a whole ear of corn which is awkward to share. I ended up getting a knife and just cutting it off the cob so we could all use a fork. The corn was nicely charred from the wood fired oven. Absolutely amazing!!!!! Our entrees were just as delicious!!! The staff accommodated our requests with ease!! We even shared some desserts!!
