    Chicken cutlet sub
    Maria H.

Very disappointed. Went here a few years back and enjoyed my sandwich. Stopped in the other day and ordered a chicken cutlet sub. It was terrible. It wasn't even a cutlet! It was chopped up chicken with basically no breading thrown on bread and no substance. The bread was super undercooked too. The worst sandwich I've ever had. Cupcakes were over five dollars also! Total rip off. Also, the staff in there is not friendly and super rude. I won't be going back. A smile and customer service goes a long way. Strongly don't recommend this place.

Absolutely love this place. Any chance I get to stop i do. Had same day surgery at Windham hospital so after made hubby drive me here to get some goodies for home. This was our first time trying the grinders. Delicious! Homemade rolls make a difference.

Good pastries! Definitely a good selection of delicious foods. Usually Quick service...little pricey. Wish they had better coffee selection.

Good food but why is the older woman so rude ? She cannot be nice to anyone and all of the customers are walking on egg shells.

Their angel wings are the best. When I have to bring dessert they always ask me to bring them. The cookies are really good also.

Appropriately, I was not buying cupcakes for contemporaneous consumption. They were indeed for . . . Later. I bought 5 different flavors to share with my family. I bought two lemon, because I definitely wanted to try the lemon. I also bought a Chocolate Peanut Butter, a Biscoff,, a Salted Caramel Butter Pecan, and a Strawberry. I tried the lemon and the Salted Caramel. The cake and icing in both were fresh, and had good flavor and texture. The flavors were accurate to description. There was a small reservoir of flavoring that extended from the bottom of the icing layer into the cake. That's always a nice touch in my book. My one note rating-wise, is that the cupcakes were not as ornate as the top tier CT cupcake places I've been to. Still tasty though. The shop was more functional than cute, but it was definitely professional and clean. Service was helpful and friendly. 4.25 Stars

I ordered cupcakes for a birthday celebration for my husband who lives in a nursing facility. I picked them up the day before and they were perfectly packaged for travel. After keeping them refrigerated as required they were fluffy and delicious. The fillings and toppings so rich and fresh! They disappeared as if by magic! I sampled the lemon cream, Boston cream and the carrot cake. But the menu is quite large and price points vary by size and "fanciness." You're sure to find something delicious for an event or just to have with a cup of tea. They make cakes as well from small size to all size wedding cakes. The service was flawless from phone order to pickup and the staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this wonderful spot for a treat for now ... or later!

I prefer it to be made from Single Origin beans, from places like Africa that have bright flavor profiles. And I prefer a medium light roast that highlights the quality of the bean. Most places make their iced coffee from blends and medium dark or dark roast levels. Grounded Coffee Co is the rare CT coffee shop that made my iced coffee with an Ethiopian Single Origin roasted by Ilse. Ilse, a North Canaan, CT, was not on my radar. They are now. This was one of the best iced coffees I've had from a shop all year. And it matched my preferences. Grounded is small, but the shop was cute, had some inside seating, and seemed to have an outside seating area, although I did not go out back to see it. Service was friendly and helpful. Very impressed with this visit experience. Five Stars.

Good doughnuts, basic toppings, great owner…read more Came here because we knew the owner from a local pizza spot that always looked after us when we would stop by. He decided to branch out and make a tiny donut shop, so we wanted to swing by and give him a try. The shop is small, designed more for your pick up and go crowd. The signage is a little small, so you will need to know where to go to find it. The selection of donuts is akin to specialty cookie shops. They keep a standard selection of doughnuts on demand but also rotate out a few types to keep things fresh. You order your doughnuts with the cashier, and then get to watch your doughnuts get dipped and packed right in front of you. We got a dozen of these little doughnuts. Took our pics then dug in. As a doughnut, they are good. They are a cake doughnut with a little vanilla in the batter to give it a mellow buttery floral flavor note. Not majorly noticeable, but just enough to make it better than just straight up cake. The best bite was the strawberry shortcake. Fresh strawberries with a light whipped cream gives that flavor profile one would expect from a very solid strawberry shortcake. The rest were of varying states of okay for the toppings. The maple bacon was good, the local maple glaze was very maple forward and tasty. The bacon crumbles needed to be cooked more. They were a little too soft and chewy for that style of doughnut. The doughnuts with chocolate syrup needs a better chocolate syrup. Would probably replace with a chocolate drizzle instead. Would hold up better if not eaten immediately. Some of the glazes were not made in house, and were a bit too strong for some of the other toppings on them. They will need to figure out a way to tweak these glazes to not be overpowering. As a destination spot I would expect an elevated product, and this shop is not set up to be elevated just yet. It's set up to be a local morning doughnut place, which is valid but will need to fight to get people to see them. There's some promise to this business idea. They will need to commit to either a boutique tiny doughnut shop or a local pick up and on demand delivery spot. Either one could work, but they need to find their footing first. For those interested in trying this place, it's a good spot for a little sweet treat. Stick to the non-chocolate flavors, get enough to share, and enjoy!

These small freshly made doughnuts are fun and creative. With gluten-free, and made-to-order options the staff can really accommodate every palette. Great for families and the college crowd. There are so many options and directions for the owner to go with this concept. Excited to see the future!!
