Called to place a delivery order on a Saturday night. Ordered large half margarita (white) and half pepperoni (red) and a large Greek salad. Had to repeat my order several times. Was placed on hold several times, and the staff in the kitchen was rude in the background to the person taking the order. Turns out they didn't have fresh mozzarella for the margarita. I said ok, put regular mozzarella. Delivery shows up nearly an hour later... and there's no Greek salad (forgot it?) and the margarita is made with red sauce and barely has and cheese on it. read more

Have gotten takeout from there twice now during the stay at home orders. Both times outstanding. First time I had a meatball sandwich. It was done on ciabatta bread and was delicious. So big we split it in half. Next trip I ordered a full size Cobb salad. Needless to say it was huge. Chock full of all kinds of goodies. Bacon, avocado, chicken, eggs. Everything! I'm not convinced this pizza is any different than Davinci's. The menu is different, but the pizza tastes and looks the same...which is fine with me since it was good to begin with. However, this is NOT the place for an affordable pizza. Two pizzas, 1-lg 1-md, cost us over $40. That's some pricey pie! read more

We have been going here for years! It was my favorite pizza place in CT. They have gone downhill fast. I think it's under new management. When we placed out last order, I arrived to find they forgot our pizza. This time they didn't have eggplant. The veggie pesto wrap lacked any sign of pesto and was mostly spinach. The bleu cheese dressing for our salad was runny and lacked the bleu cheese. Tasted more like ranch. It's such a shame because ordering from here used to be a treat. Fortunately, we have a few other decent pizza restaurants from which to choose. read more

Mixed review this time. This is a place my wife and I normally like. The 3 star rating will be explained. My wife gets the GF pizza and likes it enough (GF crusts are pretty much identical no matter where you go and none of them are awesome)... I like their regular pizza. Chicken pickle ranch pizza is really good, the mac daddy pizza was just okay when i had it (mac and cheese was dry, not creamy). Tonight (12/18) my wife got her normal GF pie and she liked it. I changed it up and got wings and a sandwich. 12 wings, half teriyaki and half with the toxic waste sauce. I love spicy food, and the name of the sauce was intriguing to me, figured it might rock my world. So for the sauce? Great name, I actually like the flavor of it, but for all you chili heads out there I'll warn you, the toxic waste sauce is NOT HOT. Sorry guys, it's beginner spice level. Teriyaki was fine. Wings themselves were just okay, not bad not great, I prefer the skin on the wings to be crispy and these were not. Not making a special trip for the wings. The sandwich I got was the Turkado on artisan bread, toasted. Great and friggin' HUGE sandwich, this I would get again definitely so good job on the Turkado! Now for the frustrating part: Tonight I picked up my order. I realize that when you swipe your card at a POS screen, it asks for a tip. If I choose delivery I will definitely give the driver a tip. If I dine in, I will definitely give the server a tip (a really good tip if the service was awesome, a really bad tip if the server sucked). But if I'm driving to a place pick up my own food, there's generally gonna be NO tip. Tonight though, for whatever reason I broke my own rule and threw a dollar in the tip jar (ya I know big spender). The young girl that did my transaction stated what I owed, and literally not a word more. I touched "no tip" on the POS screen, signed and hit enter. And she stood there. Mute. I hate that. Was she put off that I gave no tip? Even though she did zero to earn a tip? Is this what I should expect from young people now, no courtesy? Now, I get that was just picking up a $41 order of food. I don't need the red carpet to be rolled out. I don't expect to be spoiled with attention. What I DO EXPECT is a simple "thanks, have a good night", or simply a smile and a "thank you". It's not too much to ask from a business that presumably wants repeat customers. I got silence. Maybe this isn't a big deal to some, maybe a lack of interpersonal skills is the new normal, but I'm not impressed. I pay attention to this stuff. It's not hard to be nice. I will likely go there again as my wife doesn't have a lot of GF options, but maybe I'll just get my pizza at Angie's down the street. read more

There are a lot of options for pizza in Hebron and DaVinci's is just another choice depending on what you're in the mood for, if you want thin crust, DaVinci's is the right call, if you want thick crust, Angie's, square cut Gina Marie's, and Greek is Georgia's in Amston. Da'vincis has delicious choices and my favorite is just plain cheese. It's the type of pizza you can fit the whole slice in your mouth, eat four larges and not be all that full. What's even cooler is they sell birch beer which you never see anywhere and that is certainly an added bonus for sure. My one gripe is that it is always soooo hot in there, I understand it's pizza place but most pizza places don't make you want to take off a couple layers of clothing in order to just stand and wait for your pizza. Also there is a larger gentleman that works in there every time I go in, he's extremely nice but sweat is pouring off of him and I often want to ask if he needs a ride to a clinic or something but I also worry about the number of cups of sweat that have landed on my cheese pizzas in the past. :O So, once we bring that heat down, curtail the sweating, and offer delivery... Four start and then five stars it is!!! Seriously, offer delivery to Andover and you have my business every weekend over Angie's, I primarily order from Angie's because they deliver to me. read more

This is the last time and I mean the last time... We live in Hebron so there aren't many places to go. I hope the owner reads the reviews... if they care at all about their business. We stopped going here a couple months back because their phone line is literally ALWAYS busy when we call...My husband went in last time the phone was busy and they said "Oh we must have left the phone off the hook." and then acted like they didn't care welp we waited 7 months and tried to order again and guess what? THE LINE WAS BUSY. I'm sure this is not a coincidence. Some employees are lazy and don't want to make pizza. I guess they'll be happy when the place goes out of business. This has to be my favorite pizza place ever!! It was awesome when it was DaVinci's but even better as Wicked slice. The staff are all friendly and always busy working when I go in, which I believe is a number one good sign. I tried the Cobb salad last night for the first time and they can even get salads right. This was the best salad I have had in a long time. Chicken was cut into pieces I could eat with just a fork and the egg was sliced and placed perfectly. The avocado was very fresh also. I had ask for no crumbled blu cheese but wanted feta, they accommodated with no problem. Bacon was crushed and placed throughout the salad. And the homemade ranch was thick and fabulous. I stopped in here on a whim. My son wanted Subway which I absolutely detest. I was hoping to get a slice of pizza. I was so delighted when I asked if they had slices and they said yes! And they had a few different choices to choose from. Lucky for me they had some interesting combinations. I like my pizza with more than just cheese. I went for a slice of mushroom and ricotta , and a slice of lasagna pizza!! I said Say wha? Lasagna pizza! And he said Oh yeah, lasagna pizza! I said Say wha? What's on it? And he said " blah blah blah" And I was like Hot damn! I want to try that!! BOOM less than $6 I was walking out with 2 BIG slices of pizza on my way to subway to get a cardboard sandwich for my son. He's only 11 so subway is still good to him. Well I had the lasagna pizza first. This was so good and a whole meal by itself! Not to be beaten by pizza I stared down the second slice and ate it like a champ. Both were very good. This pizza tastes great. There are loads of options and I'm able to create what I want with the toppings I like. Unfortunately this place has messed up our order on two separate occasions. Once switching out pizza with someone else's. We ended up with cheese and someone else got our clam. I called back, we were able to get another clam and keep the cheese. Another, they just mixed up what we ordered. We ordered a pizza to come with white sauce and we ended up with the red sauce. The pizza tends to be on the greasy side, I always need to use napkins. I like pizza, but not greasy pizza. Besides the grease and mess-ups, the pizza does taste good. It's not that I'm unhappy with the pizza, just everything that comes with it. read more

Usually order from Plum Tomato in Colchester. Decided to compare the same menu items between the two restaurants. Love the thin crusts at DaVinci but the pizzas were very dry, not nearly enough sauce on both the Clams Casino and the Tutto pizzas. Really too dry. Antipasto salad good, but they do not make their own dressings. Ken's dressings in a packet ? Really? Wings were okay but Buffalo was very mild. So I will drive farther and pay about the same money for Plum Tomato food. read more

I used to love pizzeria da vinci. It has the only thin crust in town, and I was quite satisfied with it when I moved to the area 2.5 years ago. However after having it many times... I no longer like it. Im not sure if my tastes have changed or if its their pizza that has changed. Their pizza has a strange taste... Im usually really good at placing what exactly the taste is but in this case I just cant. One thing that disappointed me was they used to have a scallop bacon pizza which my whole family loved, and for some reason they stopped making it. Anyhow I thought maybe I was eating it too much, waited a couple months and tried again... still the strange taste. I think its in the sauce but hard to say. The plus side is the crust is nice and thin and cooked just right, there are a variety of toppings, their salad is always fresh (although they give you kens packets to eat it with, I really LOVE homemade salad dressing) and their cannolis are pretty delicious. Its worth having if you just want to grab some quick thin crust pizza... but if you can spare 10 minutes head up to Marlborough for Three Fellas. Their pizza is to die for. read more

CALL BEFORE YOU LEAVE TO PICK UP YOUR FOOD!! Food is ok here but then again how many pizza places are there in Hebron?? I have had 3 (yes 3!) experiences here over the last year where they forgot to make our food!! The manager (maybe the owner, not sure) who always looks like he crawled out of bed and forgot to shower always has this place in total disarray when he's there working. I've been here when the line is to the door and people have been waiting well past their "pick up" time and tempers are flaring. I've also seen other patrons stuck without food because they "didn't have an order" for them. They like to use the "you must have called another one of the Davinci's" line. They used that on a gentleman in front of me whose pizza was MIA and the guy responded "I've been coming here for years and have your number programmed in my phone". With that being said, I've been to several other of the DaVinci franchise locations and this one by far is worst. Food Par, Service HORRIBLE!! read more
