A friend of mine who has been teaching at UConn for years introduced me to Gansett. I was starving and craving a real meal; not the usual campus food like frozen burgers or chicken tenders sitting in old fryer oil, so he took me straight here. After the first bite of their mixed grill, I immediately understood why this is his favorite spot. This small shop can get busy, but it's well-staffed and efficiently run. The employees take pride in what they do. the cashier welcomes you with a smile, and the owner is always present, making sure everything is prepared correctly. The food is surprisingly delicious, and the portions are huge! definitely generous for a campus restaurant. There's plenty of seating inside, with additional tables outside. The ordering style is similar to Chipotle: you pick your base and sides, and they build your plate right in front of you. Smart and familiar. I come through UConn often, and Gansett has become one of the reasons I enjoy stopping by Storrs-Mansfield. If you're in the area, give them a try. I'm sure you won't regret it! read more

Gansett Wraps - Mix plate - Mediterranean Near Me - Storrs, Connecticut

Such good wraps! I can tell the food is high quality, fresh, contains limited additives. I also love how it started in Narragansett but all the locations I've been to still feel like they uphold the quality of a small, local sandwich shop. The portions are great, I can eat it as two separate meals. read more

Best restaurant in Storrs, CT on UConn's campus and it isn't close. Ownership is incredibly friendly and love being a part of the community. Great food, amazing service, nice campus setting read more

3.50 stars. Where Gansett wraps excels involves their veggies. The tabouli is especially delicious with a nice balance of textures, and the hummus is of the more desirable smooth variety. Another reason that Gansett Wraps is popular is the size of your order. These are not small portion sizes. What holds it back is the grilled chicken. Sure, they grill it in front of you and the grill marks are prominent. But the chicken comes out tough and dried out under this preparation and simply isn't the best match for the rest of their food. I may switch meats or just avoid meal altogether here but the grilled chicken is not it. read more

Stopped by after move in. Was a gray Lynch place and everything you'd want. Quick, good food with friendly service. Got the buffalo chicken wrap and it had so much chicken! A little messy but in a good way with hot sauce. The steak and cheese was also great. read more

Really great choices here. Everything was delicious. I particularly enjoyed my beef gyro plate and lentil soup. The gyro falafel wrap was also very yummy. I will say the lentil soup was a surprise, I wasn't expecting Lentil and rice soup... I was feeling for a more traditional yellow lentil soup BUT this surprised me- it was very good and I was happy with my choice even though I expected something else. Portions are huge and we were full and very satisfied when we left. Service was quick and friendly. Restaurant has a few spots to sit and eat inside. Would highly recommend. read more

I was heading through UConn this past Saturday and wanted a quick and easy bite to eat for a late lunch and came across Gansett Wraps. Gansett has soups, salads and wraps. I highly recommend Gansett Wraps. It was easy to order online or in person, the service was great and the cleanliness of the location as well as quality and quantity of the wraps I purchased was excellent! I forgot to take pics of the wraps but they were sizable for the price. We ordered a chipolte chicken, Athena wrap (crazy veggie) with chicken and a chicken Gansett wrap (chicken and breaded eggplant). I did take pictures of the items used to add to wraps and salads and everything was high quality and fresh. See pics. Gansett also has a great vibe being a campus eatery having UConn memorabilia on the walls. Wish I had a Gansett Wraps closer to my home! Enjoy. read more

Always love everything we get. Fresh, great wraps. We often order different things and are never disappointed. And the French fries (a must order in my family) are delicious. I was looking for a healthy-ish place I can grab something g to go while I was in the Tolland area. I was leaving from physical therapy and was feeling hungry. This place is about 10min away from where I was. So I said why not?! When I first got there the menu felt overwhelming to me since it was my first visit. I ordered the grilled chicken wrap and a side of fatoosh. The wrap was fresh and great amount of protein. I appreciated that the chicken was warm and it made the tahini mesh well with the lettuce and tomato. It's not a typical flour wrap you would get to use on burrito. It's more of a very think pita wrap and it held up to the great stuffing it had. The fatoosh was delicious. Great mix of cucumbers, onions, peepers it's a must get! The total cost was $12. Totally worth the money and even though I live 30min away. Whenever I'm close to that area I will be visiting again! read more

We needed a bite before heading to a show at Jorgenson Theater (Song of the North- fabulous). Gansett had my son with the many UConn sports teams posters. I wanted something edible, but was surprised by the array of choices, including a number of middle eastern faves. I settled on a BLT wrap and falafel with tahini, and son found he could get a cheeseburger wrapped or on a sandwich roll. Vegan options were also on offer. The food was swiftly prepared behind a massive counter and we were gnoshing happily in a few moments. No table service, but good food made fast and furious. Perfect campus fare. Go Huskies! read more

Another great lunch at Gansett. The Gyros (chicken or beef we got both) are so good, everything is so fresh and the baklava and hummus - it's all so good! Clean bathrooms and the staff is really nice too! read more

We've catered from Gansett Wraps many times over the past few years for our men's college basketball team, and they always deliver. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and a favorite with the team. The service is dependable and easy, and management is always great to work with. A special shoutout to Khal, who goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly and our needs are met. Gansett Wraps has become a go-to spot for us, and we really value their consistency, and quality. read more

Staff was super friendly and the food was really good. A good option in downtown Storrs.

Best fries on the uconn campus. I've tested every French fry within a 5 mile radius of Uconn and these guys take the win. Breaded country club style deliciousnous. The gummy's and falafel also bangin. Seriously this place is the best healthy spot in the area. Great for quick fresh lunch read more

Great quality food at reasonable prices. Quick service. Friendly staff... Highly recommended!

It's a good spot sometime the food is rushed. My go to is the chicken tenders and fries it's fresh a lot of the times but sometimes the fries look like they've been fried in old oil or bottom of the bag kind of fries. The customer service is always good though ‍ read more

This place was fresh and tasty. Ordered online and pickup was easy and quick. They have a wide variety of wraps. I got Greek and it tasted like a wrapped up Greek salad w chicken just as promised. I'd def go back for a fresh and quick lunch read more

Easily best Mediterranean fast casual I've ever had. Pita chips....oh...my...god. 2/3 calories of subway but 10x the flavor

Their wraps are reasonably priced, but the quantity is pretty big. Gyro falafal wrap was my favorite wrap. It has both beef gyro and falafal in the same wrap. Gansett wrap was ok. It was a vegetarian wrap with eggplants. They will make any wrap spicy, if you want. I liked it spicy. read more

4 solid lunchtime stars believe it or not, you can get a sub at the wrap place! i opted for my usually, turkey, bacon, swiss (although i went american) shred lettuce and spicy mustard. well, no spicy mustard and the lettuce was more ready for a salad than my sandwich, but all in all, darn good. nice service, good orings! wrap it up, lets get some lunch read more

I really like Gansett Wraps, perhaps even more for the fact that it seems to be filling an otherwise unmet need for the surrounding area than the food itself. The portions are huge here, which I always forget when I come in, resulting in me ordering an unnecessary side of fries. The fries are certainly good, but it's ultimately too much food for just one person. Great to share, though. The food here is fantastic. I have tried both a pesto chicken mozzarella wrap and most recently a gyro. The wraps themselves are really flavorful and the meat is juicy. On Wednesdays they have discounted falafel wraps, which I definitely need to try. I also really like how people with varying diet preferences can come here and be extremely satisfied with the meal - both vegetarians/vegans and omnivores will enjoy the selection. read more

Holy YUM! My eyes totally bugged out at the yummy choices and needless to say I had enough for another meal later on. Very clean restaurant with a delicious and clean looking work station with all sort of choices for your wrap toppings. While waiting for my order, which was very timely in coming, I noticed they toss the fries in a bowl for coating??? What the what?!?! Am I in French fry bliss??? Yes. Yes I am. My daughter order the pilgrim wrap which was yummy! And I don't even like cranberry sauce! I ordered the crazy vegetable which was cRaZy good! And then hand battered onion rings and falafel... I would try something different next time, and there WILL be a next time, although we enjoyed all we tried. We even asked to try the curry chicken salad and went back later in the day for a pint to go. Like cranberry sauce, I haven't found a curry I enjoy, until today. My daughter loves curry and was very happy to find this place since her other go to closed down recently. A 2 hour round trip drive for us, and I would happily do it again. read more

We can't say enough about Gansett Wraps in Storrs. The guy who runs the restaurant is one of the nicest guys around. He always greets everyone with a smile, and you can tell he cares about his customers. His employees are well trained, attentive, and go above and beyond. Obviously, the food is another great reason to return. We love the falafel, but everything is excellent. read more

The first thing which is great about gansett wraps is that it has healthy but delicious options, such as falafel which we've ordered lots of times and never disappoints us! The location of the store is great for many people living in mansfield or the other towns as it is in storrs downtown and is next to a square which you can eat on. Their food is exceptional and an okay price. My fav wrap is their BLT The flavors just popped in my mouth when I tried their BLT (Bacon Lettuce Tomato). They are very nice and there is a huge selection of wraps or there food to choose from. There fries are salty and yummy probably the best fries ever I've tried! A pro about them is that they also have vegan friendly options! Gansett Wraps is an excellent place to get a good bite to eat, and would recommend it to anyone around the storrs area! read more

Awesome place there fast and the wraps go down lovely ..... I definitely recommend this spot if u haven't tried it yet

I love this place! Every time I come here my experience has been great, the people are friendly and the food comes out so quick. I love their wraps because the ingredients are fresh and on the healthier side. I usually get the Chicken Gansett Wrap, and I got their onion rings, which came with a huge portion and were so crispy. The food quality, service, and atmosphere are amazing, especially since it is all a great price and will fill you up. read more

Excellent sandwich shop with fresh ingredients and authentic wraps. I've driven by their location in Narragansett a million times without stopping by. We happened to be up at UConn and seemed to be the best dining option. I ordered a BLT wrap and it was amazing. Because this was a home made wrap, I had to get used to the taste. My daughter ordered a Caesar salad and they used a home made tasting dressing. It was huge. I tried a bit of my son's gyro. The meat and sauce was perfect. I would make the drive to Storrs just to try this place again. read more

Delicious, fresh, always fast and kind service! Favorite wrap place around. Would recommend for family/friends visiting or traveling.

We had the Buffalo Chicken with fries wrap, and the vegan wrap. Buffalo wrap was outstanding and appeared to be made by the manager with great care. The vegan wrap was good too and healthy tasting with only lightly fried falafel, all other veggies were extremely fresh. Will try some other offerings, but $22 for both items was a bit expensive. Adding some value items to the menu would be appreciated by those of us trying to get by on a budget and feeling rampant inflation all over UConn campus. read more

Outstanding wraps, fast ordering online and no wait for pickup. Highly recommend the Greek chicken wrap!

I was excited to get the gyro-falafel and was just unimpressed. The dough of the pita was chewy and cold, come to think of it the whole wrap was cold but had meet and fried falafel in it. Very lack luster as well as my partner had a salad with olives and the olives weren't even pitted. Not impressed. read more
