I can't believe I've never reviewed Gansett Wraps!! This was my go to when my fiancé and I lived in Willington. Everything here is good!! I used to work in a Lebanese restaurant in Danbury and was dying for some good humus. Gansett Wraps fulfilled my hummus dreams. Not much else to say about the humus other than it's fresh homemade hummus, ask for the soft pita and . You're good to go. Gansett Wraps has more than just hummus tho!! Tons of different types of wraps, gyro, kabob, hamburger wrap, buffalo chicken and so many more. I have tried all that I listed and they were all so delicious. Wraps are made to order right in front of you and ahh I wanna jump in my car and go right now. They also do pizza here and French fries/ chicken tenders which are just as fantastic. Seriously their fries are addicting. Now that we have moved away anytime we are in the area we have to stop at Gansett to pickup at least some hummus. One major plus is that the owner (I believe) is always out front making the food and he is so nice!! Offers us extra pita and really gives the experience that special touch. read more

Gansett Wraps is great. They offer salads, wraps, and pizzas. I have been here multiple times and have had a great experience each time. The restaurant is very clean and big enough for people to sit and enjoy their lunch/dinner with others. The staff is extremely friendly. The first time I went there I got a free box of pita chips with hummus just because! Everyone has a smile on their face and they are very welcoming. It is a perfect place to go and grab a bite to eat for lunch or dinner. The service is VERY quick. I have not waited more than 5 minutes for my food. My personal favorites are the crazy veggie wrap, the chicken pesto, the chicken mozzarella, and the gyro. Their salads look very good as well, I plan to try them. Every tuesday, they offer a special of $5 wraps between 3-9 pm. I am so glad Gansett Wraps has moved into the UCONN area! read more

I went to Gansett today looking to share a sandwich with my friend -- as they are pretty big! I asked the cashier if we could have the philly cheese-steak sandwich with different toppings on each half. I wanted mushrooms, onions and cheese on one half and peppers and onions and cheese on the other half. The cashier thought it could be done, but double checked with the manager. The manager simply looked at me and said "Impossible. How would I do that? It's impossible." I understand their best selling items are wraps and putting toppings on different halves of a wrap would be very difficult. I was disappointed I could not share a sandwich, the response I received from staff, and did not end up buying a sandwich from there. read more

Finally found myself in the area during dinner time and decided to stop in. I was not dissapointed! The menu is huge... plenty of great wrap options to choose from. I went with the Chicken Gansett which was fantastic. The portions are HUGE... I didn't know it was possible to fit 3 massive chicken breasts inside a wrap... but they managed to do it. The hummus had a great flavor to it, and so did the Taziki sauce. Toppings were extremely generous as well. Prices very reasonable. Will be back soon! read more

These wraps are SO good. They are also giant! I was a bit taken back by the price when I ordered, but after my food arrived, I changed my mind. I could easily be satisfied splitting one of these wraps with someone. I ordered the chicken falafel wrap which was stuffed with chicken, veggies, tahini and falafel. I also LOVED the actual wrap. I typically don't love flour wraps, but these were like ultra thin pita wraps. I've never had anything like that and I absolutely loved it. Picked up a party platter for a small gathering of 8 people. The plater cost $64, but was huge. It consisted of Hummus, Tabouleh, Fatoosh, Falafel, Grilled chicken, Gyro, a salad, multiple sauces, and wraps to "make your own". The quality was as good as what my Lebanese daughter-in-law makes. Everyone ate their fill and there was plenty of leftovers for my wife and me the next two days! The service was great. The owner personally brought the platter out and placed it in the car for me. My girlfriend and I hit up Gansett Wraps for lunch recently, lured in by the Greek- influenced wraps on the menu. I ordered the gyro wrap and she ordered a mozzarella chicken and roasted red peppers wrap. Service was fast and friendly but our wraps were disappointingly underwhelming. The ingredients were fresh but the wasn't any flavor. To make matters worse, they weren't properly wrapped and fell apart. We agreed it was a passable lunch but really wanted more. read more

I've eaten here several times and I'm never dissatisfied. The cheeseburger wrap will make you wish you'd ordered 8 of them instead of just one. If you can't decide what you want off the huge menu, you can't go wrong with the cheeseburger wrap. I wouldn't recommend the Greek section of the menu, at least the gyro wraps. Gansett is a solid wrap place for uconn cuisine. Not very ethnic in my opinion but for the prices you're getting a good portion of food. Could easily split the wraps with two people and they cost around 8 bucks so not bad. Clean as well definitely a healthier option compared to moes or other campus spots read more
