After the first bite of their mixed grill, I immediately understood why this is his favorite spot. This small shop can get busy, but it's well-staffed and efficiently run. The employees take pride in what they do. the cashier welcomes you with a smile, and the owner is always present, making sure everything is prepared correctly. The food is surprisingly delicious, and the portions are huge! definitely generous for a campus restaurant. There's plenty of seating inside, with additional tables outside. The ordering style is similar to Chipotle: you pick your base and sides, and they build your plate right in front of you. Smart and familiar. I come through UConn often, and Gansett has become one of the reasons I enjoy stopping by Storrs-Mansfield. If you're in the area, give them a try. I'm sure you won't regret it!

The Hamburg Dog is huge and comes with a certified angus beef patty, topped with a Hebrew National all-beef hot dog, cheddar cheese, bacon, jalapenos, fried onion strings, and ketchup all sandwiched in between a non-GMO potato bun. I also ordered fries to go with my Hamburg Dog. The food is cooked to order so you do have to wait a short bit, but it's definitely worth it. My hamburg dog was definitely as good as it looked in the picture. Everything tasted fresh too. I was only able to eat 1/2 of the burger so I took the rest of it to go. This particular Mooyah Burger appears very narrow when you first walk in, but opens up towards the back and there is plenty of seating. Two things I really liked about Mooyah Burger was that they had bottles of Heniz Ketchup on each table. I am a huge ketchup fan (Heniz is my fav) so I loved being able to squeeze as much as I liked onto my food. And I love that they have an oath posted in the restaurant that states, in summary, that their burgers are never frozen, fries and other veggies are cut daily, they use non-gmo buns that are baked in house, and real ice cream is used in all their shakes.
