To make a long story short, to say there were too many cooks in the kitchen at Stop & Shop was completely wrong after going to the new CVS across the street. WOW was that manager out of LINE the way he spoke to me. I came down to have a civil conversation to let him know what my situation was and he screamed at me in front of all the customers. I was so embarrassed, not only for me but for him. Stop & Shop would never even think about doing anything like that. Stop & Shop is now without a doubt, my absolute favorite place to go for both scripts and food and let me tell you after talking to Justine last night she had me crying because she was so sweet about the whole situation. I felt so bad leaving Stop & Shop a poor review over one issue I never should've done that and as I told Justine, my mother passed away in March and she would've been very disappointed in me. The whole gang over there is great! I was just angry never work off emotion...wait a week before you want to write a review.

I just posted this to my Facebook account:…read more My pharmacist is Evan Dostert, owner of Eastern Pharmacy in Lynn. On Sunday, I went to urgent care for this terrible lingering cough. The doctor prescribed azithromycin. It was outside of the pharmacy's business hours, but I decided to send the prescription there and get it the next day rather than go somewhere else. I stepped out into the parking lot and my phone rang. It was Evan. He had dropped in to work to deal with some odds and ends and saw that I'd been given an antibiotic. He wanted to know if I needed it immediately. I was fine waiting until Monday and the doctor had agreed. So on Monday, my medicine was delivered (as always) free of charge (as always). Evan is a kind, concerned health care provider, not a store manager pinned down by quotas. He cares for his patients, and even just now took my call right away because I had some questions for him. If you need a pharmacy in the Lynn/Swampscott area, I can't recommend Evan and Eastern Pharmacy highly enough. They're at 161 Eastern Ave in Lynn, Phone: (781) 460-2000, URL: easternpharmacylynn.com. This is a totally unsolicited plug for a small, local business that I love.

The longest I have ever waited was for 2 minutes when a couple of kids in the line ahead of me had trouble counting out their change for penny candy. The pharmacists are very friendly and willing to help or offer advice. Their prices for OTC items like decongestants and antihistamines are WAY cheaper than CVS. They take most (all?) health plans and even have delivery if you can't make it in. The only downside is that they are closed on Sundays and are only open until 6:00 during the week.
