This is a pretty good CVS location with services such as a self-checkout and Minute Clinic services if you need it. I went into this location this afternoon looking to buy three items and was able to find two out of the three things on my list. The other thing I was looking for was out of stock. The service at the registers can be hit or miss sometimes so I usually go with the self-checkout option. The store is usually pretty well stocked and you'll find most of what you're looking for here. I usually go to Walgreens but since they don't accept my current insurance had to change pharmacies. Today was my first visit (3/16/24) I had to pick up my prescriptions which only 1 was ready out of 3/4 either was unavailable and or out of stock. I don't blame them, I have the CVS app which I can always check for any updates. Service was good and speedy, there were only a few people ahead of me anyway. I visited the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. I arrived right before they were closing for lunch and they closed with me right in front of them. If i did that to a customer at my job I would be fired. They all deserve a lunch break, but it is ridicules that the whole department needs to take it at the same time. Customers have no way of knowing that they are closed. An Employee with name tag Greg (receipt said different name) returned at 2 and was extremely rude. CVS at this location (and others) have stopped allowing incoming phone calls. My medication had a shortage and the only thing I can do is call around to pharmacies to find out which pharmacy has my medication in stock. It is mind blowing that CVS has managed to go another step further to limit access to health care for disabled individuals. Every month I have to call dozens of pharmacies to find my medication which I have to do on my lunch breaks and now I can't even talk directly to the pharmacy at CVS. If it's a staffing problem, hiring more staff. But no, it's America, so instead the corporation chooses to make the healthcare system even more difficult to navigate. read more

Do not get your documents or photos printed here. I opened a sign I had printed while still at the store and noticed their printer left red ink streaks all across it. I went back in line to ask for help and was ludicrously told that instead of reprinting it free of charge, I would have to pay for it to be printed again. read more

You aren't able to speak with a pharmacist, it takes more than eight hours to get a necessary prescription filled, and when you arrive at the counter to speak with a pharmacist you receive a rude response. Terrible customer service. All staff should be required to take a mandatory customer service training program. read more

I was there on Saturday at 6:20 am to get my meds. I called a head for my prescriptions and they were ready by the time that I got there . The woman looked busy but still took the time to take care of me. I was in and out within 5 minutes. She was wearing a N95 mask and I was reminded that they were practicing social distancing. Third time at this pharmacy and I loved it! I don't pick up my medication at this location but decided to switch locations due to COVID-19 concerns. Just to make sure everything is all set before I head down, I called the place ahead of time and they confirmed that my meds were ready. The thoughtful and caring pharmacist, short asian woman, wearing N95 mask was professional and attentive. There was an error with my insurance but she got it fixed, the dedication and time she took to talk to me and fill my prescription was remarkable. I was most shock about how fast efficient she was! The team at this store is always willing to stop what they are doing and help those in need. Their communication skills are excellent! Thank you for all you do for me!! This pharmacy is the worst!!! My mother is in her 90's and needed a prescription filled for an inhaler, no pill counting , and nothing a 10 year old couldn't handle. 4 Days of "We're working on it". Finally my sister in law, a nurse read them the riot act and they changed the story and said they were waiting for a call back from the Doctor. They lied. Just like most pharmacy reviews state the service here to fill a prescription is poor and not acceptable for today's standards. The doctor puts in order right away at my appointment at 9am. I get a text from CVS at 1pm stating they received the order. I go to pick it up at midnight when I figure it is nice and quiet with no lines. That is a total of 11 hrs. to fulfill the order...pharmacist tells me the order is not ready can you come back in a half hour...This is one of many times I have been asked to come back on different occasions...!! Came in here to get a Antibodies test. It was a rapid antibodies test and they told me it was negative. I didn't believe it because the procedure was so sketchy so I called my Doc and got another test done and it was positive. CVS Minute clinic in giving out FAULTY tests!!! Pharmacy help is awful.... The woman in front of me was picking up a prescription and had five items from the store and they rang them up as well, I get up to also pick up my prescriptions that were called in at 11am and it is now 7pm and only 1 of 3 were ready, so I took the one prescription and said I'd be back for the other two... I had one item from the store and he said "can you pay for that up front so we can keep the line moving...." I looked behind me and there was two people in line... The service at this pharmacy is ATROCIOUS. My rx that I order through them every month consistently has issues because no one can seem to make a note that I am agreeing to pay out of pocket. Of course no one bothers to call, send an email, text, automatic notification through their app (I'd take anything!) to let you know that they have an issue. I've been waiting 6 days now for my prescription and when I reached out this morning, they said "oh well our system said we had your rx but we don't". My doctor prescribed me 3 Humulin Pens and 1 box of needles, you only gave me 1 pen. The pen is only good to use for 14 days after opening, thats why my doctor prescribed 3 pens. If you are unsure you should have made a call to my doctor and not try to be smart act on your own, what will happen to me or my baby using insulin that dont work anymore after 14 days? I tried to tell you I can only use it for 14 days, she took the calculator and do the division 300/12=25 days. Made an online app, 10:30 for vaccination, and when i get there the nurse was not there and i was told buy this little man MOSS, that the nurse had called saying she would be little late. and I asked him, how long like 10 min? he laughed at me and said 1 HOUR AT LEAST. Called back 3 hours later and they said they were still working on it...so I waited went to gym and called again they said we are really busy still working on it. Wtf how long does it take . then went there and there's literally an army of pharmacy staff working behind counter I still had to wait when I got there it wasn't ready??. Why did you say an hour 7 hours ago to me . And I wasn't the only one they said that to. The two people in front of me got told same thing. A CVS that PRICE MATCHES, has SELF CHECKOUT, Minute Clinic, is open 24 hours, has a large parking lot, and has a new motif deserves 10 stars ; however, I can only give it five. If CVS price matched in all of their stores, Walmart could go out of business. Literally. So nice to see that this location matches other stores prices! I just saved over ten dollars because of the courtesy that the CVS in Quincy has! Great customer service, and definitely makes customers happy, especially that provided by the manager, Marie, who is so friendly, helpful, and kind. Self Checkout! I heard CVS got rid of this completely! The store in Chestnut Hill got rid of it, and this one still has it. I'm obsessed with Self Checkout, and it's so nice to see a pharmacy where you won't ever have to wait in line, while you could just use one of the three self checkout machines! The store is open 24 hours, a convenience factor, and has a decent variety for an average pharmacy. The halloween section is packed with cool stuff (just be careful walking around, I almost died after one of the motion detector things scared the heck out of me, and the candy aisle was literally ALL on sale. All aisles I shopped were stocked well. Lots of clearance too... Definitely the best pharmacy I've shopped within the last few months (only complaint is for them to stop dropping things! The floor has so many stains!) 5 stars for this CVS. Even though I haven't been to other pharmacies in Quincy, I'd put my money on this one being the best one! read more

I am in need of a TB test. I've been to the minute clinic before and have never had a problem...until today. I went to the Kiosk and signed in. I checked off that I needed a TB test and a Flu vaccine. There was one person ahead of me so my wait was going to be 40 minutes. While signing in I checked off the option to get a text when I was the next person to be seen, I was impressed by that. Since I had a bit of a wait, I decided to get home to pick up something that I forgot and come right back. Now here's the thing... when I left I didn't notice any signs of things that the Minute Clinic could not provide. When I returned I noticed there was another family signing in at the Kiosk. Fine, it was a busy day. I waited for my appointment, I noticed I was the next person on the list. When the NP walked out, she called for another patient. I stopped her and pointed I was next on the list. Another patient pointed out that she was after me. First, the NP was very nice, but she pointed out that they were no longer seeing any new patients and haven't been since 2:30pm. She also said this other family was waiting and they were next even though I saw them signing into the kiosk AFTER I returned from home. Second, she pointed out some signs that were posted that said that the minute clinic was not providing TB tests although there are signs everywhere that said "GET YOUR TB TEST TODAY!" Another sign that said "We apologize but we are no able to send you texts to let you know you are next to be seen." THIRD AND MOST IMPORTANTLY a sign that said that The Minute Clinic could no longer see any patients that day. Now, here's the thing, I admit that perhaps the first two signs about the TB test and the texts may have been there and I just didn't see them. The third sign that said the clinic was no longer seeing patients after 2:30 was taped directly onto the sign-in computer screen. When I used the computer to add my name to the patient list, THE SIGN WAS NOT THERE. I WOULD HAVE NOTICED IT. I WOULD HAVE HAD TO UN-TAPE IT TO SIGN IN. Had I noticed this mysterious sign that showed up out of nowhere I would not have wasted nearly an hour of my time just to be turned away. I would have used that time to go to ANOTHER MINUTE CLINIC INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR NOTHING!! read more

They have most things that you need but not everything & as always, convenience cost more, especially on grocery items but its what I come to expect from CVSs now. Review is for Minute Clinic. Went in on a Sunday not feeling well, since my doctors office wasnt open and I wanted to get on antibiotics before I started back into work for the coming week. Signed in at the computer. (So many questions!) And waited. They only have 4 chairs available, and people who were not waiting for the minute clinic were sitting in two of them, texting. Meanwhile I am curled up in a ball on the floor leaning against a wall. But dont mind me, I hope you guys play your Candy Crush in comfort. Once the other people (who were waiting for the doc) were called I got one of their seats. I got called about 25 mins after I arrived. The NP took all my vitals asked me more questions about symptoms, medical history, etc. Did a few tests and sent me on my way in about 10 mins. Very thorough and to the point. My test came back negative on Sunday. But I did end up back there on Tuesday with worse symptoms. Positive test that time and got some meds. This is through no fault of theirs, my body just didnt fully show all of the symptoms on Sunday, I guess. I recommend this place if you cant get into your own doctor, be prepared to wait. read more

Worst cvs. From the pharmacy to the clerks. No one knows anything about the store or its products to help in any way. While speaking to a manager, about a certain product, he actually took out his phone and started texting. He then directed me to another store to see if they could help me. No one knows anything about the kiosk, except the head person in charge of the photo center. Shouldn't the other employees be trained as well? Ordered prints. Machines were broken. Told the photo center clerk to cancel order. She confirmed. Not only did they print the pictures but because the machines were broken she sent the order to an outside printer and they were sent to cvs as well for me to pick up. Canceled bother those orders. Pharmacy is staffed by a bunch of illiterate minions with no regard for customer service. One employee being trained by another with long line waiting for prescriptions. Several blank-faced dregs milling about with no visible clear purpose who don't possess the were-with-all to open a register and address the line foregoing their other "duty" until the line is gone. Unfortunately it would appear that lack of strong leadership is the ultimate shortcoming of this poor excuse for a pharmacy. Good luck to them all. Wish the pharmacy had a separate Yelp profile page) Classic case of atrociously horrible customer service. I understand you are trying to be fast as a bullet train (like the ones in Europe and Japan that are twice faster than our Acela Express); but what good is your speed if you are exhibiting your lack of ability to think the way you are handling business? OK - I will try to make this short. (doubt I will succeed!) I got prescription medicine for a family member. The pills were of a bigger size and for the throat condition of the family member, swallowing (ingesting with water) the pill was a problem. We called the doctor who recommended to check with the pharmacy if they carried a different brand of the same medicine in different size / shape - which supposedly they normally do. Simple enough. I went into the pharmacy's "Consultation" counter. The girl immediately came up to the counter from inside as soon as she saw me. I was impressed. That was quick. It took me roughly 30 odd seconds to tell her what I was in for. Her response was real "bullet train like" fast - "sorry, we have only one size." Really? You didn't even look at the prescription yellow bottle to see what medicine I am talking about nor did you read the label and you knew magically that every prescription medicine you carry in the pharmacy is of one one size only and only of one brand? Unreal. The least you could have done was held the bottle in your hand, read the label and the name of the medicine, and went back to your console to do something random and try to fool me and then said, the very same thing, "sorry, we have only one size." I would have totally bought into your findings. But the fact you were in such a rush because it was 7pm and there was a line of people at the "pick up" counter and I just happened to be at the queue-less "consultation" counter - you decided to give me an illogical response coupled with your speedy return back to your console and continue with your work, not even giving me the option to ask you another question? Simply WOW. Clearly I am venting here - simply because the entire episode was plain and simply so unintelligent on this person's part given her response and at the same time lacking any type of courtesy - alright with a shiny, bright and wide smile. Not to mention so fast and leaving me in the end - so furious! I am sorry. I just didn't buy it. 2 options for me to try: 1. Go back to this very same pharmacy section of this store and see if I get another pharmacist and see what is the response I get? 2. Try another CVS pharmacy and see what is the outcome for the very same situation? Depending on what happens between the above 2 options, chances are I will stay with CVS as my preferred brand or time to switch it up. read more

Kayla M. Tipper, the pharmacist, has an aura of general contempt, and it deepens if you are prescribed a certain medication that carries a stigma with less biased people. I only read a few reviews and one of them was from a woman who felt the same way because she takes a certain medication. This pharmacist is not subtle about it, and has no problem being unprofessional. But worse was when I was first I got a partial RX and told it would be ordered. I was told to call in 5 days to get the remaining 4 pills, and got them on 7th day (that can happen if a manufacturer did not deliver them, so gave benefit of doubt on that) But when I went to pick them up I left a new RX and asked RX tech if they had it. He said "yes, and will be about 20 minutes" so I said I'd pick them up later with the other 4 pills after another Tech said I had to wait in one long line to "drop off" and then go to another long line to "pick up" instead of handling both transactions at one window as I have at other stores. I don't live at that end of Quincy, so shopped for groceries in the area while waiting for the text to pick up the pills, only the text never came, so went home. Next day I went to CVS website and discovered that my option to receive texts was mysteriously shut off after it had been on for several years. I called and they said new RX was "in process" so went in for the 4 pills I could have gotten the day before. I asked tech to turn texts back on. I waited 2 days for the text and called when I didn't get it. Kayla, the pharmacist, said manufacturer did not have them, and offered no help. I was angry but did not say anything because I needed the script back from her. Any other pharmacist would have called, or at least texted me to tell me when I am 2 days late on my medication and waiting for it, but not her. So, I went back to pick up the original paper script, and when the RX tech asked her for it she looked in my direction and gave one of her disdainful shrugs, indicating she did not know. That tech conferred with other techs, had a giggle together, then asked me something impertinent, so in direction of Kaya I said, "you don't remember me calling?" and she said something to the effect of "yeah, and we don't have it" with another I-could-care-less shrug. Then I said, "something real wrong is going on here", and she said: with what? And I said" "with you." She did not reply as he eyes fell back to her work. I called her out for her behavior, and she knows she has a behavior problem, so nothing to say, and no need for me to elaborate. Rest of the store gets 1 STAR because they are mostly nice and helpful. Long story. I guess when you are told you got a year to live you take time to write things such as this.
