Both Michelle's are great to work with and kept things challenging but still fun. Most importantly, they truly have deep expertise in feet/ankle injuries. The pain became markedly worse after each treatment from the first place I went, and the atmosphere was very unprofessional. After giving the other place 3 weeks I knew I had to get out of there. The pain was worse than the day I began with the other place. It's in the neighboring town, but I won't give the name. That's because North Shore P.T. is the ONLY name you'll need to remember. I had received physical therapy for my lower back from Steve Sheridan, of North Shore Physical Therapy back in 2009. It was the ONLY TIME my chronic back pain benefited from due to the therapy I received with Steve. That was in Swampscott, and I did not remember the name of the facility and thus, didn't know where Steve had gone! By the grace of God I called N.S.P.T. and thought I'd go to their Marblehead facility. Instead, I chose the Salem location when I was given the address, as I live 7 minutes away by car. When I saw my therapist, and it was Steve Sheridan again, I thanked God. My shoulder pain was throbbing down into my elbow and even my wrist when I began and I had almost no range of motion. Steve was careful and took it slow. With his help my condition slowly began to improve. Today, after 2 and a half months of physical therapy following Steve's direction, I have achieved a range of motion in my right arm that is virtually equal to that of my other arm. There is still some pain and stiffness once in a while, but it is nothing that cannot be controlled until it passes. I have all of the tools I need to continue at home for the next few months in order to regain the strength that was zapped from months of inactivity after the injury and surgery. All I can say is RUN (if you can)... don't walk to North Shore Physical Therapy! The experiences I had with Steve Sheridan both in 2009 and in 2015 have been really superb. The care I received was so terrific. He took in to account what I said and how I was feeling each and every visit. The level of courtesy and professionalism is unparallelled in comparison to other programs I have undergone, or places I have tried. Most of all, I got the results I hoped to reach. My condition was so bad off when I began treatment, but Steve always stayed positive and thus, I felt hopeful. I recommend N.S.P.T. with enthusiasm to anybody who wants to benefit from physical therapy. From the moment I called for an appointment, I knew I was in the RIGHT PLACE, and believe me, they are not ALL the same!!

She challenged me but was always accommodating to my pain if something was too much. I gained so much range of motion back and strength in my hand and wrist as well. The office experience I have no complaints about. The woman at the front desk was always kind as well. I would recommend Katherine to anyone, her care quality was exceptional. Before I had my twins, I was a recreational long-distance runner and battled hip/IT band/knee issues - following my first marathon in 2007, my issues flared to the point of not being able to run. I visited a PT clinic in the neighborhood and just hoped for the best; however, after about 2 months of weekly appointments and no progress, I gave up (which also coincided with my pregnancy). Flash forward several years and I returned to running with less mileage, but still the same hip/IT band/knee problems flaring on occasion. Despite the first poor experience, I finally decided that I needed to try PT again - and I immediately thought of Sally. After my first session with Sally, I was surprised at how quickly she seemed to identify the problem. Further, the area of focus was NOT the same as the previous PT...I was a bit skeptical as my piriformis and hip were bothering me, NOT my back! However, the simple exercises she prescribed were so worth it! I visited her only twice and it was enough to get me back out on the road. Now when I feel like my issues are starting to flare, I return to those exercises to keep things in check. Sally is personable, knowledgeable, humorous, and honest. My two sessions with her were focused and simple and she provided at home work exercises that were straightforward and easy to do. I was a soccer referee for 24 years and he kept me going to pursue my passion. Now at 72 years old I developed bad headaches. After seeing my primary care physician and he referring me to many other specialists a neurologist diagnosed my problem as coming from muscular tension in my shoulder and my neck and sent me for physical therapy. The physical therapy helped a little bit and I have been doing the assigned stretches and exercises religiously but the problem did not go away totally. I ran into Dr. Mark Friedman at a health fair at Swampscott High School. He was demonstrating a procedure called MLS laser therapy for pain and to reduce inflammation . I told him about my sore knees and my headaches and made an appointment. After about 3 weeks of his help through neck and shoulder adjustments my shoulder neck and headaches are just about gone, the best I have felt in months. Then I decided to try the MLS laser for my knees. It is a series of 12 treatments from a laser machine , no pain, nothing invasive and I must say after 4 treatments so far I can tell the difference in my 72 year old knees, quite an improvement and I am optimistic that once the treatments are done this pain will be gone. I am so thrilled that my wife and I just happened into the health fair at the high school and I ran into Dr. Friedman.
