What insurances do they accept? They show up when I search for provider on the Tufts Health Direct network and Fallon Direct Care network but when I asked them, they say that they don't accept either.

They accept Allways Healthcare by Partners.

It all started with an ad from IG and since I saw it was right around Davis, I wanted to see what…read morethe fuss was all about. When I first came in, I had worsening knee pain (~4/10) when I walked, and lower back pain (~5/10) when I sat. It wasn't fully bothersome, but enough for me to want to seriously do something about it before it gets worse. During my first visit, Dr. Nick took X-rays and explained his findings. I had minor hip and shoulder misalignments and moderately severe neck misalignment. He proceeded by giving options (i.e. phase 1, 2, 3...) but made it clear that these are "recommended guidelines" and the decision is entirely up to me. I decided to try out phase 1, which is 3 visits a week for I think ~18 sessions. I would make sure to verify if your insurance covers it. My insurance does not, so I was aware that it is coming out of my HSA. The adjustments are roughly 5-10minutes. Dr. Nick explained that the body will heal itself after being used to its adjusted posture. Asides from these adjustments, I also started running and stretching daily - I saw the adjustments as more of a supplement rather than a fix-all. I became conscious about my posture and was religiously making sure I stood up every 20-25minutes to stretch from my desk job. The pain decrease was gradual. My knee pain lingered daily but subsided slowly. At one point, my back pain disappeared and I notice myself sitting in a curved posture naturally. I still have minor knee pain, but it is equivalent to the pain I felt after a 1-mile run when I started to the pain I felt after a more recent 10-mile run. Today was my last day of phase 1. It was bittersweet to say that I didn't think phase 2 was necessary with the results which may differ per person. I'm not saying that Dr. Nick's practice was the main source of my improvements, but it definitely helped - especially since he is knowledgeable and passionate about what he does and could explain the intent of the procedures. His explanations are invaluable and I believe those are what will actually help long term - so I would ask a lot of questions if I were you! The people at LifeWorks (shout out to Jake at the reception!) are friendly and made me enjoy visiting often. I'll miss coming in as a part of my morning routine!

Unlike many other chiropractors, Dr. Nick takes his time to get to know his patients and learn about their goals throughout chiropractic care. Dr Brown has been practicing for decades and really knows his stuff. Not only that, he's patient and attentive and takes the time to listen to your concerns and tell you adjustments that need to be made outside in your everyday life for a happy healthy spine. His technique is a Hands-On approach ranging from adjustments to a gentle weighted balance which helps your spine realign. He always knows what's out of whack when he touches my neck or my back and I feel it too. The moment I'm on the table and he touches it I think to myself "Jeez! I've been walking around with that!?" After the adjustments you're right as rain, and it's best to not jump in your car right away after leaving. I take 10 to 20 minutes to walk around the area and let the body realign accordingly. Thanks for having my back, Dr. B. LOL

I didnt find tgat particularly effe tive. The second session he rotated and snapped my neck "back into place" and said id need one more visit. But this one hurt me enough that I decided to not return for the third visit but to wait a few days for the PT appointment I had made with Sports and Physical Therapy Assts. in Kendall Sq (where I have been treated amazingly well by Jason Trenouth). I have no prior experience with chiropractics but I was scared out of my wits by the manipulation by Steve Brown. Years before, a friend of mine was BADLY hurt as a result of another chiropractic manipulation by a well known chiropractor in Harvard Sq (Pope I think was his name). From what ive gathered, chiropractics is very loosely regulated and if it works for 'minor resets' I definitely would NOT recommend it for serious injuries, or at least not as I saw it performed by S. Brown or this other aforementioned person.

Below is my story with TMJ and how Felice helped me heal:…read more Ten years ago I was diagnosed with TMJD since then I have seen over 30 "specialists" in the "normal" (and recognized) medical community. I have seen multiple orthodontists, chiropractors, dentists, surgeons, acupuncturists, MDs, and other doctors (across the nation) who did not know how to help me, who tried to help me, or wouldn't admit that my case was beyond their abilities. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars to find a cure or a temporary aid for my TMJD. I have worn splints, had many tests, looked into surgery, and tried a variety of so-called treatments. None cured. One helped, but only temporarily. Each new doctor I saw brought on depression and anxiety. I am a strong person, but after nearly ten years I was fed up and had nearly given up. It was especially horrific since I am only 25 years of age, yet I felt like I was 90 years old. My daily quality of life was horrendous, and I was desperate for anything to help. I came to Felice because my appliance (splint) broke, my bite become even more off-center, and all my symptoms came back. I was in my first year teaching, working 90+ hours per week, and having my symptoms return was the last thing I needed. A friend of my family recommended Craniosacral Therapy to my parents to help my TMJ. My parents left Felice a voicemail to see if she knew of anyone to fix it. Felice called them back to make sure I was okay and to give help how to solve my broken appliance. She called back with concern for me as a person, not to convince them to have me see her. This is what was different from other doctors I had seen - she actually cared. My first session with Felice seemed like she wasn't doing anything. I have had chiropractic treatments before where you can tell what they are doing, but Felice is barely touching your body. I remember thinking: "well this was another waste of money" (sorry Felice). I was wrong. When I stood up after the first hour, I felt better. The effects of the session lasted for nearly the next week; three times longer than any other physical therapy or chiropractor I saw. So I continued going. I was still wearing a splint 24/7 during my first nine months of treatment. I was so dependent on it that during a 30-minute dental cleaning ALL my symptoms would return (headaches, backpain, jaw clicking, numb hands/feet, poor thinking, anxiety, foggy memory). Nine months into treatment (and two days after that dental cleaning), when my splint broke again, Felice suggested working on moving my teeth. I agreed as I was fed up. After this session, my bite had changed. I could finally touch the left side of my teeth together (I had an "open" bite on the left side before). After that session, I didn't wear my splints. I didn't need to anymore. For the next six months, she continued working on my teeth and body, helping it to heal. Currently (August 2012), my bite is stable WITHOUT A SPLINT and I no longer have headaches or any of my other symptoms (after 2.5 years of wearing it). My hips feel level, I feel more limber and flexible, I'm emotionally/mentally stable, and my overall quality of life is high. I have since moved from Cambridge, but I would never have been in a position to make this decision without Felice's therapy. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs immediate relief from a chronic condition, as I did. She is someone I trust for my health and overall well-being, and I cannot say that about many medical professionals. Her therapy is considered alternative and may seem strange, but try it. Felice is caring, honest, and an expert in what she does. She is passionate about her work and about helping her patients. I cannot recommend her enough; she has truly given me the gift of living pain free. I would not be where I am without her and cannot thank her enough. If you would like to speak to me regarding my story or Felice as a Craniosacral Therapist, please feel free to ask her for my number or email, and I'd be happy to chat with you. I sincerely hope that my story helps others to not give up helps them to keep searching for the right help and deciding if Felice is the right therapist for you. Kind regards, Alissa

She is kind, concerned, gentle, highly skilled and is able to tackle almost any issue causing pain in the body. I"m now over 70 and have seen her over the years for sciatica, jaw pain, and a compressed spine.
