I cannot recommend Harvard Square Chiropractic enough! Twice now, Dr. Sean Bradshaw has been AMAZING when I have been in immense pain. I have seen him when my body has been screaming at me post an ovarian cyst hemorrhage and an infection from a dog bite on my finger. His care is what I wish all of my healthcare experiences were like. I left feeling seen, understood, cared for, and so much better! -He takes the time to get a full picture of what's going on. -He really remembers you and your story when you come back and asks follow ups that make you feel like you have a real partner in what you're facing. -He empathizes with what you're going through and focuses both on immediate relief and a longer term plan to address the root cause of issues. -He uses a combination of techniques - including targeted massage - to get right to the areas of my pain that provide so much relief. I've been seeing Pat for a few years now and it has been a pleasure from the very start. He is easygoing, a great listener, and attends to whatever is ailing me that week. I have an S curve / scoliosis which brings on a host of other complications, and I am also one year postpartum. Pat has helped me navigate all the stuff that comes with that, gives me examples of exercises to do at home, and does it all in a super nice, nonjudgmental way. Our appointments are brief but he makes sure all my concerns are addressed. He's also great to talk to so it often feels like I've had a bonus mini therapy session while getting my adjustment. Ladies, do not go to this chiropractor. I had a low back issue and while doing chiropractic the doctor moved the waistband of my leggings down quite low without asking permission or even saying anything. nothing was revealed but this was unprofessional and inappropriate. read more

I am so grateful for the amazing massage I had with Sabrina! I've had severe back pain for over 6 weeks (with minimal success with muscle relaxers and pain killers). My doctor recommended alternative methods of pain relief and mentioned finding a licensed massage therapist. I was able to get an appointment quickly (within 2 days of my call). I was nervous because of how acute my pain was but Sabrina talked with me prior to the massage and put me at ease. I really appreciated that she explained what she was doing, checked in to make sure I was okay/still breathing, and providing education on how to prevent my current level of dysfunction by adjusting my lifestyle and activity. She was thorough and prepared me when something would be more uncomfortable (in a good way!). I can finally walk normally, stand for a decent amount of time, and have been pain-free so far! Cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Pat! I had all kinds of back pain that multiple doctors had previously disregarded/not treated/told me would go away if I "lost weight." Dr. Patrick Doody is wonderful and one of the most helpful chiropractors I have ever seen in my life. I hurt my lower back a week out from a half marathon and could barely walk. July 12, 2012 It was my first time here for the massage session- it was a pleasant experience with the staff and Sheena, my massage therapist. She was nice and asked me a few relevant questions during the session. I've always had back problems since years ago and I have been going to professional massage therapy sessions and they usually can relieve me from the pain for a couple of months before I have to schedule another session. Since I'm here in Cambridge for the Summer (and I can't bring my massage therapist along), I searched on Yelp for good massage places and found this place with a deal, so I decided to try it. I went with an open mind, hoping to walk out with no pain. After the session, I felt good from the massage session but not good enough as my pain was still there and true enough, I woke up this morning (morning is the time when my pain is most significant) with my back still hurting as before and I was very disappointed :( Overall, it was a good experience with my therapist but dissatisfied massage techniques. ___________________________________________________ Update: July 24, 2012 I initially gave my massage session 3-star and described my experienced above. Dr. Doody (I assumed he's the chiropractor/owner) emailed me and offered me a complimentary massage session with Susan Young. I thought that was very nice and professional of him so I agreed and scheduled an appointment for the following week. I got there early and Susan was ready- so we got started. She talked to me first and asked about my condition, and then we got to work. I loved how professional and knowledgeable she was by explaining every move she made and described my pain/condition accordingly. It wasn't a normal massage session and I loved it because I'm used to therapist working with me on my back and I don't mind moving my body as needed- anything to relieve the pain! She even showed me stretches I could do at home to help with my back! When we finished, I felt so good and when I looked at the time, it was about 10-15 minutes passed my 1-hour scheduled session! I was so happy with the session that I literally told all my friends about it and one of them is going to schedule a session with Susan soon! So anyway, I woke up this morning (my back pain is most prominent in the morning) with NO PAIN AT ALL!! I am very excited to come back here for my second session with Patrick. I had never really consulted someone for my neck and back pain, something that I am paying for as we speak. Patrick was gentle and good humored, and told me what I had was a doozy. I am looking forward to returning (tomorrow) for more help as well as a massage, which I will review later! Best chiropractor ever. Patrick is awesome. My very picky boyfriend likes him s much he has been recommending him to all of his friends. I tend to freak out with physical adjustments, so I made sure he uses an activator before I came. The activator is awesome, My adjustments are always really gentle and I feel like I'm improving. He's also trained in the graston technique (scraping your skin to loosen scar tissue) which is a more aggressive treatment then the adjustments (it tends to hurt quite a bit but it really helps)l I get the sense that this isn't something he does unless the client requests it. Tricia and the other staff member are super helpful with scheduling and open to emailing to book appointments as well. read more

I highly recommend Harvard Square Chiropractic to anyone looking for chiropractic and massage services. When I called to book my appointment, the receptionist was extremely personable and friendly. I booked both an adjustment and a massage, as my body was yelling at me to pay attention to it. Patrick is very grounded and friendly. He went over my history with me and then began doing some manual manipulation and palpation to find out where my trouble spots were, checking in the entire time to make sure it was tolerable. He did some stretches with me and the adjustments he made were quick and painless. I instantly felt relief. I had my massage immediately following the adjustment with Susan. She is very professional and thorough. We went over my health history and she addressed everything we spoke about in the consultation. Dr. Patrick is THE BEST chiro i hv *ever* had adjust & fix my mis-alignment! He is intuitive & applied trigget point & myofascial pressure to loosen knots before making his magic moves to vanquish my pain. Great chiropractors and massage therapists can be tough to come by. I live in Harvard square and found this office via a google search and wow, what a find. Pat is the coolest chiropractor around and is very passionate and professional about what he does. I've been seeing him about twice a week for a few months now and each time, I feel like he is tuning into what's going on in my back/neck and is truly invested in my wellness. Within just a couple of visits with Pat, my body felt ten times better and I felt instant relief in my once stiff and achy back and neck.
