Nick does orthopedic massage, which focuses on bone structure as well as muscles. He's worked wonders for me. Thanks, Nick.

There is no way to speak with a member of the center. They don't accept calls. How am I supposed to trust them?

I called up at 7 pm after a long workday resulting significant back and shoulder pain. I needed a good massage and most everywhere else was either closed or booked. Thankfully this establishment was open and had an immediate opening. Aesthetics aside, I immediately got an odd vibe from the place, completely aside of course from the significant language barrier with the one employee I met. It just seemed like a cheap-construction spa. But hey! Maybe it was going to be a low-price hidden gem with sacrifices on decorations to afford excellent employees. This was not the case. The massage started off with some unorthodox rythmic pelvic body-shoving followed by a much-needed dive into my neck and upper back. Over the 60 minutes there was focus on my back, shoulders, arms, and legs. But one thing that made me incredibly uncomfortable was a recurring focus on my hips and upper thigh. By any standards of therapeutic massage, there was some unnacceptably innapropriate contact. No bueno. After not massaging my feet or head, and with only about 5 minutes left in the appointment, the masseuse began rubbing my lower stomach. By this point it was already quite clear what the intent of this action was. I politely requested that she work on my feet for a few minutes, at which point the alarm went off. Although my scapula felt great, I was much more stressed than when I entered. Go with your gut: This place is creepy.

Where many of them have been good, only one of them have made me want to book another appointment right away. Emily Taylor is a fantastic massage therapist. She's very knowledgeable and has a great talent in finding problem points. I have seen her three times in the last two months and I've already booked my fourth visit. I felt pretty great from other massage therapists in the area, but I feel fantastic when I'm done with Emily. She was able to hone in on bad spots in my shoulder's nerve causing some numbness in my fingers, help one of my ribs go back to the right place, and almost put me to sleep when she massaged my head and neck. She doesn't have a static routine she works through every visit. She will get everywhere you ask, but she has a talent to find out where you need it most. I remember how I felt after my very first professional massage therapy session and she makes me feel that good every time. A+++ Will schedule again! I went in just hoping for some basic deskwork tension release in my back and shoulder. I'm a programmer and get a "tune-up" massage every 6-12 months or so. I've lived in Boston for 9 years and have tried 9 different masseuses - I've had bad massages, and I've had pretty good ones, but I haven't had one that was like, oh man, I need to repeat that. But... I think I finally found my masseuse guys. She gave me the best massage I've had in YEARS. Why would going deep in a particular area of my shoulder cause my left foot to tingle? Why is the slight lower back pain I've had for months now gone after she fixed a weird alignment thing in my right hip I didn't even realize was there, but that she felt? Why is it 3 days later and I still have that buttery calm post-massage feeling (I showered, I promise, so it's not that!)? She uses yummy smelling natural stuff like coconut oil and shea butter with essential oils - no mystery chemical smells while the massage is going on. Her space in Arlington is relaxed and clean and homey. I've mostly gone to more spa-like environments for massages and wasn't sure what this would be like, but I can say the coziness and warm lighting was preferable! All that said, she could move her practice to the #1 bus stop in Central Square and I'd probably still go see her. That's how good she is. She is a truly special talent in this field and I'll be going back as often as my wallet allows it :)

Overall, a nice experience. 4.5 Stars…read more Zenergy is pretty much a one-woman show run by Lily and she's great. She's very friendly and good at what she does -- you can feel the difference in your body immediately. Appointments can be made via email, calling, or texting; but be sure to give her about 48 hours notice. I went to her Mass Ave location, but she also does home massages. For my visit, I had an hour-long Swedish massage and I have to say that it's definitely one of the better ones I had. She was very professional and asked about my preferences and needs. When I told her about my upper back scoliosis, she didn't automatically avoid working that area or completely ignore what I said (like some other masseuses have done), she just gently worked it until it got better. My shoulders and neck honestly haven't felt that relaxed and comfortable in a long time. I also asked her to focus on my hands and feet and she did a good job. The only reason why this isn't a full 5 Stars is because of the atmosphere -- it just wasn't very conducive to relaxation. In all fairness though, that is not Lily's fault. She just happens to share the office with a therapist(?), so the decor felt a little out of place for a massage. The location is very convenient though; it's right on Mass Ave, with loads of metered parking nearby and within reach of several bus stops. Overall, I would definitely visit Lily again and would recommend her services to anyone. She does a great job and I've already bought the $75 for $50 Yelp Deal for my next appointment. Pro-Tip: It's cash or PayPal only -- no cards yet. Roughly $65 for 60 minutes.

I always come out feeling like I'm walking on air. I'm never disappointed when I leave here, which is a nice change from some of the other body/energy work experiences I've had. Highly recommended.
