They informed me that I should have called ASAP to schedule the appointment, and that the only opening was at 7:50, and that I needed an ultrasound as well. When I said I was confused, the nurse rudely replied "if you'd let me finish." Then she tried to transfer me to schedule the ultrasound, and hung up on me. This is a very stressful and confusing thing, dealing with infertility, and I will NOT be going back to IVF New England.

So, I'm a Skeptic…read more Just that kinda person. I generally don't like medicine that I can't trace back to anatomical reality (I get exasperated talking about Chi and other untestable, unmeasurable concepts). So I obviously didn't go to Acupuncture to get my chakrahs back into balance or anything like that. I have a pretty nasty back injury that gave me a fair amount of pain and tough ciatica (look it up). I've been doing PT, and I've been healing quite nicely (I'm not going ton a "Western Medicine is Useless!" rant today), but I'm not a very patient person. I wanted to see if I could do some pain management beyond medication, for obvious reasons. I went to see Lisa because my mother's friends (who are much more... spiritually oriented) have given me sufficient anecdotes that I decided I'd give it a try. Anyway, disclaimer aside. I enjoyed the visit. Lisa is a grounded, rational person that actually talks about medicine and the body. There's a little bit of "energy flow" stuff going on that I managed to not get frustrated about--in short, at the end of the conversation I was pretty convinced she knew what she was talking about. Then with the needles. Afterwards, I felt significant improvement. I have a lot more relaxation in my back and leg, the ciatica's gone down. I'm walking around without a cane, which is a fair improvement. I'm quite pleased with the treatment. Over the next few days, I'll be updating as to my progress. I'd recommend Lisa for an alternative approach to pain management stress, musculoskeletal or nervous problems, definitely. I will continue to hold out on the mystical cancer-healing powers of heat lamps and small needles until I've seen better science on the topic.

Any medical questions you asked are put into a portal; you hear from various people, whom you never meet or speak to. Extremely unpersonalized service & sometimes would call 4 times to get a call back 5. You are never shown or explained how to use medicines but told to watch random youtube videos 6. The on call doctor NEVER responded after multiple calls the day before the procedure 7. I had two ER VISITS after my procedure that costs me thousands from the lack of care and follow-up by this organization. 8. My own primary care doctor with 30 years of experience; called the head of this company after hearing about my awful experience. Again nothing was done. I wish more people would consider acupuncture for this condition! It's been studied quite a bit now, and acupuncture shows a strong correlation with symptom relief, including nausea and gastric pain. I experience substantial relief from Lisa's treatments and I can't say enough positive things about her and her practice. I have seen Lisa during two gastroparesis flare-ups and both times, the acute attack resolved within minutes to hours. (After more than a week of suffering!) Additionally, often during treatments my stomach will growl! I know that doesn't sound like much, but to any GP'er, it's music to our ears. My stomach feels so much better after a session the effects very much feel cumulative - so that I have fewer problems on a day-to-day basis with GP than I did before I started seeing Lisa for acupuncture treatments.
