Dr. Khalsa is highly advanced in his ability to treat vestibular or balance difficulties. I went to him over last summer, 2025 and was helped greatly by the methods and exercises he showed me. I have been using them almost every day in order to keep well balanced in spite of a diagnosis of unilateral vestibular hypo function. I went here for the first time a few months ago. I made it clear to the provider that I was only interested in myofascial release techniques rather than typical chiropractor adjustments. This is something they offer here. I explained that I have a health condition that makes chiropractic adjustments more dangerous for me and puts me at a higher risk of dangerous complications or side effects. The provider agreed and said that we would do only myofascial release and he would not do any adjustments. I come back for my next appointment, the provider is evaluating my neck. Without any warning or conversation, he does an adjustment - quickly turning my neck and causing a loud crack. This is exactly what I asked him not to do any he did it anyways without even telling me. It felt extremely invasive to have something like that done without my consent, when I SPECIFICALLY did not give consent due to my health conditions. Afterward, the provider said, "Oops, I probably should have talked to you about it first." He tried to give me an explanation as to why he felt safe to perform that adjustment based on my presentation, mind you, he had only met me once before. After that, I had seriously increased pain and dizziness for many weeks that made it hard for me to work. I even ended up going to the ER two weeks later to make sure he hadn't done any serious damage because I was still in so much pain. I never went back. And after all this, I just got a bill in the mail for that visit. This is one of the worst experiences I ever had with a provider, it caused me great mental and physical distress. read more

I was looking forward to my appointment with Dr. Khalsa as I have been neglecting to go to a chiro for way too long now. I have an autoimmune disease that causes chronic pain in all my joints, as well as constant back pain. Dr. Khalsa basically told me I need to "start taking care of myself better" and that he "really can't believe I don't have enough time to go to the gym". Sir, I am a full time chronically ill student, I don't need you to tell me what you think I am capable of. Besides feeling humiliated in my body within minutes, his care and adjustments were fine, and I would say my back and neck feel a little better (it has now been a few hours since leaving this office). $50 to be told to suck it up and that if Harvard, BC, MIT students could make time to work out and come in for chiropractic care then theres no reason I can't. Dr. Ansenberger is a wonderful chiropractor. I saw her for 4 sessions in one month, and prior to that, I was experiencing constant tingling and numbness in my hands and arms. after just one month of treatment, I no longer felt constant pain in my hands and arms. Dr. ansenberger knows what she's doing, and worked extensively on my upper back and neck. Not only that, she's great at conversation and seemed to care about my well being, I.e. Remembered details about my life. Which I appreciate a lot, esp. during these times. I would highly recommend her. while you might feel sore after treatment, the end result of the entire treatment (4 sessions) is entirely worth it. I'd recommend asking for the Active Release Technique, even tho it costs extra . read more

Dr. Abbie Zubiel is a massage therapist, not a chiropractor. I went in to the office needing a few adjustments, and left still needing adjustments. She said she didn't "feel comfortable" giving me the adjustment I needed. I wonder what it would take to comfort her enough to do her job? DO NOT BOTHER unless you are looking for a massage. Also, the massage she gave me left me with muscle pain for several days afterwards. I would like to add that I have seen Dr. Khalsa, and he is a good chiropractor; and I haven't seen Dr. Hagan. read more

Just got back, back get it? Well, I just returned from seeing Dr. Hagan. I cannot believe how wonderful my visit was. It was an extensive visit. He treated my back and plantar fasciitis pain. My back cracked in more places than I thought possible. My back feels wonderful. My neck feels wonderful. My range of motion already feels even better. And, he used this cool ancient tool on my right heel. It was a piece of jade and it broke up all the scar tissue in my foot. Very cool. Looking forward to my next visit. Best of all, Dr. Hagan takes my medical insurance, so that is wonderful, too. Overall, I feel good, I feel great, I feel wonderful! Bob Wiley would agree, points if you know who that is! read more

I have to admit up front that I have always been a skeptic of this form of treatment. I tried out several sessions, for about 7 weeks, and apart from a dangerous and forceful (in my opinion of course) snapping of my back at the end each session this was little more than light massage and some gentle movements for 30 minutes - and laying under a heat lamp. Some people swear by this, but most of them admit they need to keep going to feel the benefits - hardly a long term solution. I also agree with other negative yelps of the front desk staff - not timely or helpful, and I was always asked if I wanted a receipt, then sometimes they still would not give on until second request. I then received a bill from my health insurance stating I did not pay for one of the sessions. When I called Khalsa, they dismissed me and said I would need to call some other account management number, so the phone calls began...Shortly after wards, Khlasa called me and, in a somewhat emphatic tone, stayed it was indeed a mistake on their part and my account was in good standing. Yikes. Now my back REALLY hurts... read more

Dr. Ansenberger is one of the worst ART chiropractors I've ever seen. She jabbed me without any apparent plan and left me in a lot of pain (that wasn't there before the treatment). She doesn't seem to have any idea how to actually do ART. I could have achieved more by giving myself a massage. read more

If you could have a chirohusband, mine would be Dr. Hagan. I've been going there off an on for a long time, whenever I have recurring neck or back pain. I used to throw my back out once or twice a year, but that hasn't happened at all since I started seeing Dr. Hagan. And don't be alarmed by the long-term nature of my care. When I say "off and on," what I mean is that I'll go consistently for about a month and then won't see him again for at least 3 or 4 months. This is after years of weekly chiropractic care with people who didn't really believe that one should ever stop going to the chiro. Plus, Monica at the front desk is funny and great. read more

I had horrible sciatic pain throughout my 20's, effecting me when standing, sitting, driving, running, etc. He cured me where physical therapy, sports massage, cortisone shots, and other techniques could not. He gave me the platform to tell him all of my symptoms with my bad back and then asked a series of questions that led to him making a proper diagnosis and treatment plan that not only shocked me, but helped alleviate the pain I've had for years. Sure the doctors are great but the front staff is horrible. Totally unprofessional and disorganized. They hardly answer the phones and have no sense of urgency, even if you're in pain. When I complained that I called 6 times and no one answered so that's why I showed up in person (after they accused me for expecting them to have time for walk ins) they told me answering the phones wasn't part of their job and that they are too busy with all their other clients. It doesn't much matter how great the doctors are if they care less about you throwing out your back than their totally healthy Harvard sports teams! And can you blame them? You're painful back isn't paying for their Porsche, after all. Basically I felt like they told me, "GFY" when I needed care. read more

Actually, I have only seen him twice in the past 6 months or so because Dr. Hagan gives you stretches and exercises to work on so that you don't have to come back all the time. HIGHLY recommend Dr. Khalsa! He is a great listener, caring, and does a great job at explaining medical jargon.

I began by seeing Dr. Khalsa for neck pain. He gave me a quick, bored intake, put a heat pack on my neck for 15 mins, massaged my neck for less than 1 minute, executed 3 cracks, and was done. I would ask questions--what kind of stretches does he recommend? Anything? How can I stop this from happening? He'd look peeved that I was asking him this, say "go to a yoga class" and then leave. Apparently, he's seen plenty of students with upper back pain, so I didn't impress him--but I don't care that he's seen plenty of students with neck/back pain, I want him to care A LOT about mine! That's the whole point of going to a specialist in person. I then moved to Dr. Hagan. Dr. Hagan is GREAT. He's curious and engaged. He did a little massage of my neck, gave me exercises, and answered all my questions patiently. He hasn't cracked me once--he reminds me more of a physical therapist than a Dr. Khalsa-style chiropractor. I actually don't think he has solved my issues, I've since gotten into Alexander Technique and think that focusing on moving/sitting without tension is better for the kind of chronic postural pain that I have, but if you're making an appointment and want to give chiropractic a try, DEFINITELY go with Dr. Hagan. read more

I just booked an appointment here after moving back to the area. I had gone to Dr. Hagan for hip/back/neck troubles years back, and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. He is a highly skilled professional with a calm, competent demeanor. The muscle manipulation he does in addition to spinal adjustments means longer term relief and benefits. Dr. Hagan makes sure you understand what is going on with your body and what he is doing to remedy it. As another reviewer commented, he provides you with exercises to do between visits to keep things as they should be. My back started hurting and I didn't know what to do. I went for a massage. It helped that day but not much afterwards. I got acunpuncture: also great for a day . Then I went to see Dr. Zubiel at Khalsa Chiropractic in Cambridge. After working with her, I felt better! My neck felt better immediately, so much so that I became teary with relief from the pain. My back felt better that day, hurt again later, but then it didn't hurt anymore. They told me many people need 8 visits, which would've been daunting since I have to pay out of pocket, but on the 2nd visit Dr. Zubiel said that I only needed a 3rd one if I don't feel right. I like the combo of working the muscles and joints, plus the exercises I got are helpful. Dr. Zubiel is knowledgeable, a good listener and good at what she does. I'd go back, but hopefully I won't need to for a while. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Simms here for some time for some recurring issues, and she's been a great help. She also didn't hesitate to suggest some other options -- some chiropractors want you to come back again and again; she really would be happy to get me "fixed" and out the door forever. Dr. Khalsa worked mini miracles with my back injury and I had 8 weeks of appts 2x/wk but cancelled the last week because I simply would not put up with the front staffs'' disrespectful nature. any longer. Angela is nice but the very rude Keisha is ignorant, rude and quite nasty. She snorted and snickered when I politely suggested that she use the words please and thank you with clients since I had witnessed many interactions on the phone and in person and she was ignorant to all. The last day I was there I waited almost 10 minutes for her to exit the visitors bathroom and when she did she never flushed the commode, it was gross when I went to use it and I asked her to please clean up after herself was again entirely disrespectful so I cancelled my last 4 appts thanks to the VERY rude and grossly disrespectful Keisha. Sometimes when I come to my appointments the door is wide open while the A/C is running! So wasteful. I asked the receptionist if she'd like me to close the door on my way out, but she insisted that I leave it open, saying that it gets too cold with the door closed. That will definitely happen when the A/C is set to 60F!! (That's 15.5C!!) I'd like to keep coming, but don't want to continue to support a business that is so uncaring about the environment. A very easy fix is to set the A/C to a sensible temperature, such as 72F / 22C. read more

I have had plethora of docs who have tried to make my back better. But yet i was still in pain. It was a quick crack and then you are out the door and back the next week since the "magic" crack worked only for a day. Then I found Dr Khalsa and Dr Hagan. They were not the typical "You need to buy 18 package or you HAVE to come every 3 days". They did a full evaluation and told me what i needed to do and gave me homework each session. Within 3 sessions i was back to feeling normal again. I started with Dr Khalsa but i had to stop since my insurance was charging me a lot more for gratson. Dr Hagan does mostly ART and i see him on regular. My fiance sees Dr. Morrissey (Part of Khalsa Chiropractic) and she loves getting her cracks from her. Dr. Morrissey has treated me once as well and she was great. Parking has never been an issue for me since i usually get there around 7am but traffic can be brutal. However, their front desk is always accommodating if you are running late due to weather or traffic. Angela in front desk is always helpful if you need to change schedule or need to squeeze in to see the doc. If you care about your health as much as i do about mine, then do yourself a favor and see them. read more

My first impression of Dr. Khalsa was great, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. However, after two visits,I realized that he was not that great, his routine is like: talk to you for a few seconds, then let you wait for about 5 minutes, heating pad for about 10 minutes, massage for 2-3 minutes. So, when I first saw Dr. Hagan he told me he thought he could have me fixed in 4 visits, which I thought was great. Unfortunately, three visits later, he told me to keep booking a weekly apppointment, with no mention of when I might be 'healed' (I had a slightly displaced vertebrae.)
