I returned to Dr. David Shadrick and Dr Megan Gazda this past week and results were astonishing. I had immediate relief. The chiropractic care I received was incredibly effective providing 60% relief & inflammation in my neck, shoulders, arms & thoracic area within hours.I experienced relief & improvement of pain after another adjustment with Dr Gazda 2 days following. Next week I will see Dr John McCarthy & confident I will receive further Alignment & decrease of painful symptoms . I will return to regularity of treatments with all 3 Drs over each moth . It is imperative I do so as I have a complicated Neuro endocrine medical condition & to support my body -mind - spirit as a professional Dance & Pilates Coach . I don't think I ever could've gone a year and a half with the chronic condition & being without treatment by Davis SQ Chiropractors if I hadn't had a great foundation from the prior years of their care . What sets apart Davis Chiropractic is their commitment to preventive medicine and maintenance is exemplary. The general professional friendship I've developed with the 15 years of their expertise combined with warm welcoming atmosphere makes this TEAM unparalleled in the area. This includes the front desk, reception, and administration with Stephanie and Leslie. They're genuine ,efficient and caring . Davis Chiropractic accepts Medicare, which is a significant advantage. I've had opportunities to switch to more convenient locations, but I wouldn't trade the exceptional care & relationship. I can attest to the importance of regular care and maintaining my overall well-being .Davis Chiropractic's commitment to preventive medicine and maintenance is exemplary and I'm grateful for the expertise. If you're seeking top notch, care look no further, Dr David Shadrick . Then it hurt to stand straight & I feared correct posture could never be restored. This is No way to spend my later years on the planet! Thankfully, Dr Doody created a 5-6 month plan for me (2x visits a week & a few simple exercises at home), & I followed the plan. I am beyond thrilled to say that today, I easily stand tall and enjoy walking 5-6 miles a day. If I don't keep up my simple warmup routine, my lower back may remind me with a twinge, & I will stop my walk & perform a few spot exercises that alleviate the pain & keep my body going - with joy! To me, this has been like a miracle, giving me my Freedom and Joy back. Kayla and the professionally-run office make it easy to "do the right thing" and be restored to health & vitality. It all started with an ad from IG and since I saw it was right around Davis, I wanted to see what…read morethe fuss was all about. When I first came in, I had worsening knee pain (~4/10) when I walked, and lower back pain (~5/10) when I sat. It wasn't fully bothersome, but enough for me to want to seriously do something about it before it gets worse. During my first visit, Dr. Nick took X-rays and explained his findings. I had minor hip and shoulder misalignments and moderately severe neck misalignment. He proceeded by giving options (i.e. phase 1, 2, 3...) but made it clear that these are "recommended guidelines" and the decision is entirely up to me. I decided to try out phase 1, which is 3 visits a week for I think ~18 sessions. I would make sure to verify if your insurance covers it. My insurance does not, so I was aware that it is coming out of my HSA. The adjustments are roughly 5-10minutes. Dr. Nick explained that the body will heal itself after being used to its adjusted posture. Asides from these adjustments, I also started running and stretching daily - I saw the adjustments as more of a supplement rather than a fix-all. I became conscious about my posture and was religiously making sure I stood up every 20-25minutes to stretch from my desk job. The pain decrease was gradual. My knee pain lingered daily but subsided slowly. At one point, my back pain disappeared and I notice myself sitting in a curved posture naturally. I still have minor knee pain, but it is equivalent to the pain I felt after a 1-mile run when I started to the pain I felt after a more recent 10-mile run. Today was my last day of phase 1. It was bittersweet to say that I didn't think phase 2 was necessary with the results which may differ per person. I'm not saying that Dr. Nick's practice was the main source of my improvements, but it definitely helped - especially since he is knowledgeable and passionate about what he does and could explain the intent of the procedures. His explanations are invaluable and I believe those are what will actually help long term - so I would ask a lot of questions if I were you! The people at LifeWorks (shout out to Jake at the reception!) are friendly and made me enjoy visiting often. I'll miss coming in as a part of my morning routine!

Below is my story with TMJ and how Felice helped me heal:…read more Ten years ago I was diagnosed with TMJD since then I have seen over 30 "specialists" in the "normal" (and recognized) medical community. I have seen multiple orthodontists, chiropractors, dentists, surgeons, acupuncturists, MDs, and other doctors (across the nation) who did not know how to help me, who tried to help me, or wouldn't admit that my case was beyond their abilities. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars to find a cure or a temporary aid for my TMJD. I have worn splints, had many tests, looked into surgery, and tried a variety of so-called treatments. None cured. One helped, but only temporarily. Each new doctor I saw brought on depression and anxiety. I am a strong person, but after nearly ten years I was fed up and had nearly given up. It was especially horrific since I am only 25 years of age, yet I felt like I was 90 years old. My daily quality of life was horrendous, and I was desperate for anything to help. I came to Felice because my appliance (splint) broke, my bite become even more off-center, and all my symptoms came back. I was in my first year teaching, working 90+ hours per week, and having my symptoms return was the last thing I needed. A friend of my family recommended Craniosacral Therapy to my parents to help my TMJ. My parents left Felice a voicemail to see if she knew of anyone to fix it. Felice called them back to make sure I was okay and to give help how to solve my broken appliance. She called back with concern for me as a person, not to convince them to have me see her. This is what was different from other doctors I had seen - she actually cared. My first session with Felice seemed like she wasn't doing anything. I have had chiropractic treatments before where you can tell what they are doing, but Felice is barely touching your body. I remember thinking: "well this was another waste of money" (sorry Felice). I was wrong. When I stood up after the first hour, I felt better. The effects of the session lasted for nearly the next week; three times longer than any other physical therapy or chiropractor I saw. So I continued going. I was still wearing a splint 24/7 during my first nine months of treatment. I was so dependent on it that during a 30-minute dental cleaning ALL my symptoms would return (headaches, backpain, jaw clicking, numb hands/feet, poor thinking, anxiety, foggy memory). Nine months into treatment (and two days after that dental cleaning), when my splint broke again, Felice suggested working on moving my teeth. I agreed as I was fed up. After this session, my bite had changed. I could finally touch the left side of my teeth together (I had an "open" bite on the left side before). After that session, I didn't wear my splints. I didn't need to anymore. For the next six months, she continued working on my teeth and body, helping it to heal. Currently (August 2012), my bite is stable WITHOUT A SPLINT and I no longer have headaches or any of my other symptoms (after 2.5 years of wearing it). My hips feel level, I feel more limber and flexible, I'm emotionally/mentally stable, and my overall quality of life is high. I have since moved from Cambridge, but I would never have been in a position to make this decision without Felice's therapy. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs immediate relief from a chronic condition, as I did. She is someone I trust for my health and overall well-being, and I cannot say that about many medical professionals. Her therapy is considered alternative and may seem strange, but try it. Felice is caring, honest, and an expert in what she does. She is passionate about her work and about helping her patients. I cannot recommend her enough; she has truly given me the gift of living pain free. I would not be where I am without her and cannot thank her enough. If you would like to speak to me regarding my story or Felice as a Craniosacral Therapist, please feel free to ask her for my number or email, and I'd be happy to chat with you. I sincerely hope that my story helps others to not give up helps them to keep searching for the right help and deciding if Felice is the right therapist for you. Kind regards, Alissa
