I asked for an appointment that wasn't on Monday, because I work on Mondays. I was given a Monday appointment anyway (June 25). I just assumed it was on Tuesday. I showed up this morning at 930 Commonwealth and first was told Dr. Cardoos wasn't in the office today. The receptionist told me he was "across the street" and to go there. I got confused looking for the address (which, actually, she didn't give me) and came back. Then the receptionist told me my appointment had been the day before. I was dumbfounded, and I'd gotten no communication from the office that I'd missed an appointment. I was very upset and confused! I told the receptionist to give my apologies to the doctor and left the office. I must say, she seemed anxious to be rid of me. Off-site, once I'd regained my composure, I tried to make a follow-up appointment online. I learned that 1) The doctor wasn't in my insurance network (BMC Healthnet/Community Alliance)! I'd been given to believe that he was when I made the appointment. 2) The doctor was no longer accepting new patients! This was a terrible experience. I'm searching for another in-network doctor now (with difficulty). read more
