I don't think I have enough hours in the day to write all I want about Doctor Millis. After a very, very long and painful 6 years I got a referral to see Millis in Boston and that he did this procedure on young adult hips (that's me)...and he would fix me. I sent my x-rays ahead of time so he could determine if I was a candidate to see him and I was, duh. So his next consultation was 2 months away, booked! Long, long story short I saw him and booked my surgery that day for a few months later to have a PAO, total hip reconstruction surgery. As the time got closer and I did more research I got a little nervous. On my way to Boston the day before surgery, he called me HIMSELF. He is just the gentlest, greatest, most calming man I have met. ANY worry I have, he just shrugs it off (not in a bad) telling me that's not a big deal we'll fix it. He just makes me feel so incredibly comfortable and relaxed. His team is fantastic and if someone slacks off, they're gone. It's his way or the highway. He's the best, yes he's older...not as old as you think...but he knows hands down what he's doing, goes to conferences and stays on top of the techniques. I am 2+ years post on both hips and I feel amazing. My right hip was very bad and a "revision" may have been in the future and yes, it is. I'm having my third PAO in a few weeks and I am SO excited...it's a traumatic surgery, but I feel 110% normal and can do ANYTHING. Here's my PAO blog.... please contact me if you have any Millis questions....he's a miracle worker. Hands. Down. http://www.setme25.blogspot.com/

I highly recommend Chiropractor, Dr Colleen Morley and Spine & Sports Injury Center!…read more If I could give 8 out of 5 stars, I would. My daughter has had neck pain in the last few days but it escalated around 4am this morning. She couldn't move her neck too much. So we began a search for local chiropractors who could possibly see her on an emergency basis this morning before her 10am class. We left a couple of messages on their voicemail before we took a Lyft to their office. Yelp showed their office opened at 7am. Jose, the security guard in the building was friendly as we waited patiently for a call back. The remote receptionist returned our call around 7:30am and said the earliest appt would be 8:40am. We took it and waited patiently... IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! Colleen gave my daughter: Exam Adjustment Massage Laser red light Dry needle acupuncture ... exercises to do at home. She said that she would like to see her again in a couple of days. My daughter's neck flexibility and SMILE at the end of this appointment said it all. We left their office by 9:35am and my daughter made it to her 10am class on time! Colleen was friendly, professional, attentive, thorough, intelligent and experienced. I am so glad my daughter has a new and amazing chiropractor in Boston.

On top of that, Colleen is just an awesome human; personable, supportive, and genuinely invested in her patients' health and well-being. Highly recommend her if you're working through an injury or even just wanting to feel 100%. She truly does it ALL: alignments, dry-needling, graston, ARPwave, manual therapy... the list goes on!!

Dr DeAngelis, where to begin…read more I began seeing this Orthopedic doctor maybe two years ago after getting fed up with the service from an old family doctor. My last well known ortho doctor never bothered to call me back with my MRI results after I called him FIVE times. I finally gave up. Boy, I'm glad I did. Background - I am in my mid 40s, and have been playing sports for decades, and continue to do so, especially hockey. Needless to say my years on the ice began to catch up with me and for the last 10 years or so I have been in and out of dr's offices and surgery tables. From knee scopes, to elbows, hands, ankles. You name it and I have had it repaired, sometimes many times. As a result I have been to so many doctor's offices I have lost count, in many states no less. I can tell you what test or exam they will probably order, where and when to inject cortisone, that the MCL needs to be surgically repaired etc. So, as I got older I expected my doctor to be able to have an intelligent conversation with me about my medical conditions. Where other DRs have failed is listening to the patient, not taking the time and brushing them aside. Yes, I want to be heard but I also want to take control of my treatment. I know how I feel, the likely problem and want a one on one dialog with a professional, something often not found with many doctors who are in and out so fast and often prescribe pain meds before taking a close look at what's going on. Such is modern medicine I guess. Here is where Dr. Dr DeAngelis excels. My first meeting with him I was wary and expected to have to go through the general 1st patient exam I have seen elsewhere. Cough, any aches or pains, put some ice on it, come back in 6 weeks. Not so with this doctor. We had an excellent conversation, and I immediately felt a team being formed. He listened, commented, evaluated and then we discussed what he found, what I thought and how together we could move forward so I would feel better. I was stunned that doctors were like this. And get this. Two days later he called me back to see how I was doing. I thought he had the wrong number. Why would he be calling me? Anyway, I have been seeing Dr. DeAngelis for the past two years. Last year he performed an elbow surgery on me that went well. Again, he called me at home to see how I was feeling, several times. This past summer I had another problem crop up and called him from out of the country. He was on vacation, so I left a message and hoped to hear back from him when he returned. Nope, he called me that afternoon on his cell phone from the beach! He immediately identified the problem and was able to get me some medicine that literally saved my summer. I know I will need a quality doctor as I age, each morning reminds me of that. But with a wonderful doctor on my team I feel confident that whatever I encounter Dr. DeAngelis will get me through it with professionalism, integrity and an understanding that he is there every step of the way.

Before I even get into the review - know this, the staff is awesome!…read more Now for the nitty-gritty: Since most of the reviews for physical therapy on Yelp seem to involve back pain, I decided to try this clinic based on convenience - it's only 5 minutes away from my office. I was diagnosed with a bi-lateral knee condition 3 years ago (read: I have the knees of a cranky 80-yr-old man) and saw several different physical therapists in Vt while in college and in the year before I moved to Boston. Most of my experiences with physical therapy involved private practices with brand-new equipment and either individual rooms or privacy curtains. It took a little adjusting to this clinic, as they are short on space, and the equipment is functional, but has definitely been around the block a time, or two, or three. The tables are pretty much right on top of each other, and I almost clocked someone in the head trying to do my leg extensions two weeks ago. However, the staff handles the space with professionalism, humor, and a heavy dose of improvisation - example, hip flexor exercises with the band were executed in the back hallway. I can honestly say that I was highly skeptical at first, but my knees are the best they've been in three years, and I've even been able to start playing sports again! The staff is on the younger side, but having seen PTs of all ages, I can tell that they know their stuff. My PT is Lucas, and I highly recommend asking for him if you decide to go. Every question I've had was answered, and better yet, he adjusted the exercises & workouts to match my preferences and lifestyle. Since I will need physical therapy for the rest of my life, it's nice to finally find a clinic willing to design a routine I enjoy, rather than the normal, boring, static exercises that require you to re-arrange your entire schedule. As a result, I do them more regularly, am noticing the improvements, and will continue going here as long as I am in the Boston area.
