I saw Dr. Kayla Serowik and Dr. Christine Frechette for physical therapy, and both of them were amazing. Not only did they show me the exercise to treat my issues, they also helped educate me on what I could do to prevent future injuries. On top of that, they were both incredibly patient and encouraging - therapeutic on multiple levels! I also get sports massages from Michelle Herrmann, and this has been a game changer. I have gone to a wide variety of skilled massage therapists (sports, deep tissue, Thai, etc.), and Michelle is the best, by far. Her massages are so healing and have helped my performance so much, as well as stave off potential injuries! Before going to Wellness in Motion, I really struggled to progress in any sport because I got injured so often. Now, with the amazing combination of physical therapy and sports massages, my body is healthier and stronger than it has been in over 20 years! Incredibly grateful for this place. Dr. Glenn was really attentive, and the first person/provider, outside of my surgeon, who actually has knowledge of my particular medical ailments. It's so refreshing to meet with someone that has an understanding, especially since my medical conditions are so rare. My recovery has been frustrating, with a few post-op complications, so I was looking for alternative treatments. Dr. Glenn performed ART at this session, which he believes I can really benefit from. I have my follow up scheduled next week! I live about an hour away, but worth the drive! I do recommend leaving more time than you think you need for parking, as I had to loop around twice for a spot (and was a few minutes late, but they were so understanding - thank you!!). WOW AMAZING! GREAT!…read more I have heard good and bad stories about different places for Physical Therapy. (I have a torn PCL and MCL problems, and needed a place to go!) I looked at other places people recommended, but MGH was right next door to work - so I hoped I could go there (for convenience as well as reputation) Once I confirmed with my insurance I could, and scheduled up a few appointments, I started on my way BACK to a strong leg and knee! Asyou walk in, you see all the framed jerseys from Athletes, from David Ortiz to Ray Bourque and more... Yes, a lot of Boston Pro athletes (and pro athletes form elsewhere) go here, so you know it MUST be top notch. The equipment and facilities are top notch, as you would expect, from the locker room with showers, to the machines and therapeutic equipment. My therapist, Kailin, is GREAT. She has the patience to deal with a difficult and stubborn patient like me (yes, I said it, and will admit it!), and the knowledge and experience to help me out. I have pushed aside my imaginary knowledge, stubbornness and desire to do things my way and put myself in her hands 100%, and could not be happier. So far after a month, I can tell positive change, and as long as I keep listening to her versus ignoring her, I have no problem I will keep improving! The other staff around has always been helpful (they are busy, so people help out on some things), and they have always been accommodating on every aspect. I ave never been afraid to ask another therapist a question or for something if Kailin was not in the immediate vicinity. The front desk staff of Vicki and Harry is also top notch. Very helpful, friendly, and work to help you get in when you can versus the entitled nature you find at some offices. (in other words, they put you, the patient first all the time) Understand before you go, MGH is BIG. You have to register with the hospital, get your MGH ID card/number, and it might take an extra week or two to get an appointment. But in my case, where i suffered a traumatic injury nd had to heal, I would RATHER go to teh best, instead of the quickest. I hope you never have an injury or a need to go here, but if you do, and you need PT for a joint or tendon (or anything), then This IS THE place to go in Boston... who knows, you may find yourself on a table next to one of Bostons finest athletes.. sharing in the best PT and rehab in the city!

He gave me exercises I could do at home with minimal equipment ($10, bought…read moreat an unrelated store) to strengthen my knees, and after 8 weeks of doing the exercises (about 1/2 as much as I should have done them, because I'm lazy), my knees showed definite improvement! Dr. Ludwig saved me from having arthritic knees at 33. Insurance paid for everything (except the co-pay naturally), so I'm guessing that the reviewer that gave this Dr. a "1" rating didn't have insurance and didn't bother to do any exercises that Dr. Ludwig gave and then wondered why she never got better. Heat, massage and ultrasound technologies were used, as was taping my knee. Low-tech isn't inherently bad!

They offered to set up multiple sequential appointments to ensure the appointments worked in my schedule. When I went to my first appointment, I was seen on time. Catherine Schroeder was the physical therapist assigned to me. She explained things clearly and did a thorough exam to pinpoint the best exercises for improvement. She was very caring and understanding, and explained things clearly. The physical therapy clinic has a gym area as well as hydrotherapy if your clinician determines it is what you need. All follow up visits were on-time to the minute too!
