I had a good experience the first time so I hoped for the best! I had a somewhat urgent prescription needing to filled, especially as I was about to head out of state for a week. Tracey was kind, but told me that they didn't have my prescription in stock and they would order it for Monday; unfortunately, I was unable to wait two more days and they suggested I call to other pharmacies in the area to see what their inventories were and Big Y would transfer the prescription to them. I was disappointed and thought I would be spending the rest of the afternoon navigating different pharmacies. I was still at the store a few minutes later picking up a few other things and contemplating the rest of the day's logistics, when Tracey began calling my name from down the aisle. She found me in the store and told me she had called and found the prescription at CVS Walpole! I was so happily stunned that (1) she called to find the medicine somewhere else and she'd transferred the prescription and (2) she walked around the store to look for me and let me know after I missed her call on my cell. These extra steps saved me a ton of effort and time. I very, very much appreciate this kindness and effort!!

I used to shop at drugstores like this place and actually spend a lot of money. So, ultimately, my point is that I always hesitate to actually spend a lot at any store like this anymore... because eventually a coupon will come out for almost anything. With that said, if I need something quickly and out of the blue, I don't mind actually buying it. Anyway, between all the drugstore chains in the area (Rite Aid, CVS, and Walgreens), Walgreens never has the best deals. They do have the lowest regular prices, but when it comes to sales every week, CVS outnumbers them every week. I also don't like that every time I seem to use coupons here, they enjoy giving me a problem with the coupons. With that said, they weren't being very friendly about it here at the start, and now they are getting much better. While I still prefer how other stores give me even less of a hassle (in Needham, management doesn't even need to come over to manually enter a coupon), the management team here is friendly and extremely helpful for whatever I need (and it doesn't seem to be only me...). While not my favorite location of Walgreens, in general, people are friendly, they generally have the items I'm looking for, and you can guarantee they will have a ton of cool, awesome stuff for cheap (sometimes up to 90% off!) right after any holiday, which is something that doesn't happen as often at CVS or Rite Aid. This specific store is also generally well stocked, organized and clean as well. 4 stars overall. Could be better, but since it's close it works for me.

She responds with "date of birth" to which I responded with "Oct 4th, Im not sure the year its for my grandmother" she then says "your joking right" um nope I'm not joking. She walked away with no explanation and when I followed her politely asking "should I come to get checked out?" She once again rudely responded with "no obviously not, I now have more work to do to walk over here to figure out her birth year!" She was extremely rude and abrupt. I'm already starting to miss Rite Aid. This store has…read morechanged hands so many times. From Brooks, to Rite Aid, and now to Walgreens in only ten years, they have spent thousands just to keep changing the name. Since Walgreens is such a large company, I'm hopeful it won't change again. The pharmacy is phenomenal here as is the front end staff. Drive thru pharmacy has just gotten more efficient over the years. Store is always fully stocked (and now, it's so much cleaner and more open since the recent renovation from Rite Aid to Walgreens), organized, and user friendly. Shelves are always fully stocked and I think this is the ONLY pharmacy I've been to that doesn't have stains all over the carpet. Only complaint is that since the change from Rite Aid to Walgreens, everything in the store has moved and I don't know where anything is! I guess in a few months I'll be used to the new layout, but they should have aisle directories or something! John, the store manager, is also super friendly and very receptive to any concerns that customers have. He definitely goes above and beyond to please everyone, and does a considerably better job than many other store managers. Other staff here are hit or miss. Some are friendly, kind and helpful.... others need to retire! Overall, this place is close to my house and while I will always miss the better promotions and Plenti card that Rite Aid has to offer those days are now over. Could definitely be much worse. Sign up for Balance Rewards if you don't already have it for better promotions, currently they are giving out coupons for the grand opening through the end of August 2019. 4 stars.

First, let me state that this is my 3rd time at this store in about four years.  My previous visits went well.   Customer service, employee interactions, product selections, and availability were very good.  My experience, this time, was marred significantly by two employees when I sought to check out. Asset employee Jeffrey Porter-he very belligerently gave me his name--was very hostile and kept interjecting negative comments while I was speaking to another employee who was called over in reference to the 15 item limit policy  There was only one cashier on duty at the time at register 5. She was checking out a large order. Additionally, he stated he was "The Enforcer"of store policy. Stated that there was a lot of theft at this store. With all that that implies, it was obvious he believed i was stealing. Otherwise, why bring up theft when im inquiring about policy? And that the manager was not available. When I asked for a number and Store Mgr name, I was told that didn't matter.  This occurred at approximately 8 am. The second employee was a grey haired grandmotherly type and also was rude.  The 3rd employee i interacted with was trying to explain the 15 item limit policy in between comments and interjections from Jeffrey Porter.  However, she did manage to understand that i understood the time of day and staffing of cashiers in the morning and that my issue was the poor customer service I was experiencing from the two employees.  She also stated I would get the store managers name and phone number i could call from the receipt.  The managers name was, "TBD." So. I am going to call the number and see if I can get a name later this morning. I urge all seniors/veterans to avoid this location until such a time as these employees can receive training/retraining or counseling for the PTSD they are obviously suffering from due to to the "thefts" they told me about  in addition to having a manager named TBD.

The employees are definitely a mixed bag - some are super helpful and even remember my name while others can barely make it through the transaction. If it weren't for one woman in the pharmacy I wouldn't go back to this place. At times the lines are RIDICULOUSLY long. I'm torn.
