Talk about night and day. Three weeks ago, I was in the Weymouth CVS on Washington Street. The pharmacist was extremely rude, not helpful and ended up modifying a prescription incorrectly. The line was horrific and the entire team took their cues (hate the customers) from this pharmacist (tall Asian guy). Today, I went to the Norwood CVS on Nahanton street. Polite, very helpful, customer friendly and very efficient. It's worth the ride not to have to deal with incompetents who hate the customers. read more

24-7 CVS, at 6am still a few people inside and outside. The store missing some items on the shelves but generally ok stock. Two staffers busy with something, so ended up checking myself out on their machine, card only. And the longest receipt I've gotten at a CVS yet... I mean, are they tired of wasting so much paper?? read more

Wow. According to the store, it is open 24 hours. So, I went there at 12 AM when I figured there would be fewer people in order to pick up some sensitive toothpaste and a couple of other items. I saw the pharmacist serve a patron and then use Purell to clean his hands. When I was done I went to the front counter and the unprepossessing woman behind the counter refused to serve me and ordered me to use the self-checkout. Of course, it wouldn't work properly, wouldn't accept coupons wouldn't check out the items, etc. I will no longer be going to this CVS and I may decide not to ever use their stores again. So much for the 24 hour CVS and so much for pharmacies are still open, if CVS can't find employees willing to do the job then they should shut their doors. read more

Always there for me when I need my meds. I miss the pharmacist Eric, who had my meds ready always at opening so I could get before work. But change happens. Not such a fan of waiting all day for them when there called in 2 days prior. The old team that's still there is awesome! Call u by name great personalities. The new team not so good! I'm not a fan of the pharmacy with the new kids, not very fast seem to care more about business aspect instead of the customers needs. If my script is called in on a Monday and due on Thursday. I would expect it to be ready at opening on Thursday not evening. I never get texted when ready anymore. Eric is a huge loss to the pharmacy!! It is not running very smoothly. T.T read more

No one left to call backup cashiers. CVS has extra care as a slogan but apparently no longer care enough to staff the checkout counter. While waiting more than 5min. I called the store for help. After navigating a convoluted phone matrix I reached a general store extension. Ironically. The phone rang at unmanned counter before me. When someone did finally arrive they assisted the people at the self checkout first even though I was waiting significantly longer. I do not however fault staff. Seems counter personal is now expected to also stock shelves. This has not been a unique experience to Norwood location. I have encountered it at other CVS stores. This location has 3 self checkouts and only one counter. Now they don't even staff it. If hiring is an issue pay more. read more

Here's my experience over years of using the Norwood CVS on Nahatan St Lines at the pharmacy during regular hours typically cause long waits and you have to wait usually about 15 minutes in line. Everything is fine as long as you accept the price that CVS says you have to pay (with your medical insurance etc) However:............ PREPARE FOR HELL IF YOU HAVE A COUPON.!!!! ( such as a Good RX coupon) Here's what happens 1. You get a scowl from the person ringing you up ( even though you've already waited about 15 minutes) 2. You are told you have to go to "drop off" and start the wait process all over again ( you are being coupon punished) 3. When it's your turn at Drop Off , because, you have been a "bad actor" for presenting a coupon to save money ( I saved $102 off the price off a ridiculouly pricey medication with a Good Rx coupon I got online) You will be told you have to wait about 20 minutes more for it to go back to the Pharmacist to reprice it with the coupon you presented 4. When the Pharmacist reprices it, you will have to go back to the original line to wait to get your newly repriced prescription. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! Don't forget that once you FINALLY pick up your prescription, you have to know that you have to tell ONLY THE PHARMACIST that s/he should change your information back to your original insurance, otherwise, your original insurance that you have had onfile for the last 5 years, has been lost in 'the computer' Ok, so now you ask to talk to ONLY THE PHARMACIST (because no one else is allowed to change your information back) and the PHARMACIST (standing very nearby and hearing the whole previous conversation says "The pharmacist is going onbreak for 20 minutes right now" as she walks out of the pharmacy area ) and I'll have to wait or come back. (Oh no, I'm being punished even more for using a coupon!) BUT WAIT THERE IS STILL EVEN MORE!! Follow the above directions thinking "ok, this was a crazy one time experience I know what to do next time." But, sorry, that's not the case. Another day, another time, another staff member will tell you a whole new set of rules next time you come and you proudly say "I HAVE A COUPON!" They will tell you that the set of rules you learned last time, aren't true, that their set of rules is the way they always do it and it's always been their way. KEEP USING THOSE COUPONS, BUT I WOULD ADVISE USING THEM AT EITHER ANOTHER CVS OR PHARMACY THAT DOESN'T "PUNISH YOU" FOR USING A COUPON. ps. I only get my prescription at cvs. I try and do it on line. I do not have the auto refill but every time I need a new scrip they put it on auto refill. Well I called and told them to fill my other prescriptions and named them to the girl and told her to take the auto refill off. I go and pick them up and she didn't fill them all. So now I have to wait for there error. It should have been done right away. They are always doing something that is inconvenient for there customers. If they want to keep there business the customer should always be right on certain things and this is one of them. Norwood needs another 24 hour pharmacy other then rude cvs. read more

Ratio to only 1 staffed cashier to several self checkout stations(3 or more) is skewed toward a bad customer experience. Only one register has a person to process your purchase. All other stations are self service. Any complication in the staffed register makes the line grow down a row blocking shoppers trying to use that aisle. Further complicated is when that one register staff person has to leave the register to help self service customers. I L O V E CVS, but the lack of customer care had me return items to the shelf today. I then shopped at competitor whose lines moved smoothly. CVS Norwood having only one staffed register is atrocious. read more

Pay attention when buying things that are 'on sale' if you use your CVS card... Last night I picked up a few things, and 2 out of the 3 rang up as the non-sale price. The first one was only $.50 (no biggie) but the second item was overpriced by $6.00. Of course, I was in my car when I realized this, and let me tell you... simply getting the difference back is not an option. He did a full return on the item, handed me the $14.00 and change back... re-rang the item, and took the correct amount from me, $8.00 or so... and, of course it's late night, there's one cashier on, and I feel like a total D-Bag for holding up the line. Sorry kids... but that $6.00 buys me breakfast in the AM at the 'bucks... Venti Iced Caramel Macchiato (extra ice) and a banana. Check your receipts! read more

I'm a total fan! I like the brand's products, the selection of choices, and the variety of products stocked! I feel like CVS is the quintessential store that sells EVERYTHING! Need a phone charger? Box of gourmet chocolates? Get well card? Hair dryer? Gift cards to anywhere? They sell it! Plus, it being open 24 hours is ideal. This place is a Norwood staple! read more

Amazing staff! Pharmacist was very attentive and informative over the phone. He seemed to genuinely care about making sure my medications were in coordination with each other when I called at 2 o'clock in the morning! Definitely recommend this 24 hour cvs! read more

I was just looking up a phone number and saw the negative reviews and decided to write a positive comment qualified to some extent. I have been using this pharmacy for two years now. And I too have been weary at the length of the lines, and an occasional back order on certain medications. Before leaping to judgment I thought things through....the back ordered medication was nationwide...they could not help that. As for volume keep in mind that this pharmacy is open 24 hours...hence they are often the one used by local hospitals and emergency facilities. I appreciate the stress that all of us are under...however we have become a nation of people seeking quick fixes with little patience. Often we take our frustrations out on someone just like ourselves. Considering there are so many with no access to medication or health care at all, perhaps we could sow a little bit of gratitude into our attitudes as we wait...it is a much more pleasant experience than complaining believe me. Is that an excuse for willful neglect...certainly not. But people behind the counters have lives too...they have kids to cook for when they get home; they have school work to do. Perhaps if we were not so quick to criticize and call names we would have more understanding. Not only that, but do you want someone handling your medicines to be multi-tasking? Now I try filling my routine prescriptions at the hours when there is the least volume (I know this isn't an option for everyone). But when I do, I am in and out in no time. Also I have never encountered anyone who has been rude or unkind there...give folks a break and maybe service will improve as a result. When I am being intimidated by negative comments in a customer oriented job, I always tend to make more mistakes. They aren't robots...just people like you and me. Perhaps all the badgering they get from strangers has made them grow a thicker skin for self defense. Personally, I am tired of all the negative comments I hear in lines...now I try to be humorous and compassionate...ask the cashier how she is feeling...maybe she has been standing for 8 hours and knows she still has dinner to cook. This has made life so much more enjoyable for me. Retail jobs are challenging...I can't tell you how many times I have wanted to tell some loudmouth where to stick it...inefficiency is a legitimate complaint...all I am saying is, sometimes it lies within our reach to make things better with an attitude check. read more

No matter when you go this dirty pharmacy there is a huge line of people waiting to get their prescriptions with one surly clerk to help them and at least 10 other people in white lab coats standing around talking about what they did last night and laughing at the losers waiting in line for their prescriptions. Doesn't matter how long the line gets NOT ONE of those 10 other people will stoop to manning the registers. They pretend you aren't there. The loser at the register must have been from a communist country because s/he is almost universally truculent and S - L - O - W. I have had it with this lousy pharmacy and will be going to the new one in Dedham from now on. read more

I have a standing order every month for my pain medication..it was due to be filled yesterday..cvs told they had none come back tomorrow..this medication also is for withdrawal i dont us it for that. I told them i cant go without my meds she said she could give me 1 thats all she had..later that night i called to see if it was ready they said it never came in but i can give u 2 more after the lady said she only had 1..he then said come in am..i called in am they said its not ready thank god i saved 1 for the am..then told me to come after noon my husband went at 145 they told him sorry come tomorrow..i called and said this is unacceptable find another store she told me no..i called a little later and she says give me an hour to fill it.. the customer service sucks and they lie threw their teeth. I spoke with corporate and they said oh ty for letting us know i said this isn't the 1st time this happened they did nothing..i go to pick up my script and they tried to short me thank God i looked before leaving the store..if i was able to go somewhere else i so would they are the only pharmacy that take my ins. How can a busy store that know my script is a standing order 1x a month ohh then they said ohh u cant pick that up you arent due till nov 9th..really so im suppose to go a whole month with no meds..she tried to refuse me to talk to the pharmacist i said we can do this over the phone or ill come down and make a sceen in the store..shes ohh no ill get the pharmacist.. which took him 2 mins to fix and ot was what ever the girl did she entered it wrong..so wrong very wrong worst customer service ever read more

I like this CVS better than the Westwood location. I've never had an issue finding what I need and am always getting coupons in the mail. Although there does tend to be a line, all of the staff are friendly and polite. I was buying cold medicine the other day and the cashier said, "I hope you feel better!" It's the little things that I take into consideration when I choose where to shop, and this CVS is right on the mark. read more

They are so much faster then other pharmacies. They always have stuff in stock also. I love that they are 24hrs. When we moved I was so mad our new CVS was not 24 hrs. With young kids it seems as though you are always running to cvs for this or that. read more

I try try to stay away from this CVS. The line is always so long. Staff is very friendly though. I like Walgreens on Dean Street better.

Always a long line at the pharmacy, but I also always seem to have to go during peak times so I can't really be too picky. Although it does seem like they should know to staff accordingly to peak hour needs. I understand not everyone and anyone can man a register in a pharmacy area and there are requirements, but it stinks the line always is backed up. The pharmacists are always super friendly and ready to help. I am usually in and out with what I need and I like that they help me quickly. I'm not sure why they have tried this whole "makeup" consultant position thing in stores, but I feel like it's wasted money that could be used somewhere else within the company. If people really wanna get into using high end products, they should seek real professionals, not CVS wannabes. Sorry for the harshness on that but it's true. All around I'm pleased with my service here and always serves it's purpose, also gotta love my EXTRA Bucks!! read more

Worst pharmacy ever. Pathetic service, errors/coverups, watch what you get. Totally rude, unhelpful. Given wrong dosage on prescription and was told to use up what they filled and then come back. Seriously, some of us have jobs and lives which don't afford multiple visits to pharmacy due to their incompetence. I have to use CVS because of insurance. They are terrible. They never get the order right. I get a text saying my scripts are ready for pick up then when I get there there is only one of three. Happens again then if just one script I get one month supply when it suppose to be three. It's so infuriating! And like someone else said the line to wait for the wrong thing is so long doesn't matter what time of day! Grrrr they got a new manager a few months back. He said he was working on it. This pharmacy has wronged me for the last time. I will keep this respectful, but this truly is the rudest, most disappointing pharmacy I have ever been to. After calls to the corporate offices and promises that previous errors (made 3 times) would be corrected, I called ahead to be sure my order was in and they confirmed that it was. I got there, schlepping my baby and a cart to fill up with the order and was told it was not in. When I calmly voiced my frustration and that I had called ahead and that this had happened 3 other times and I was promised that they would be SURE to have it ready for me, the manager shrugged at me and said "I don't know what to tell you". The two other customers waiting in line muttered that they hated it there and it was the worst. Formal complaints do no good, and when you need prescriptions for your infant that are not filled or ordered or made when you ask for them, it is really unnerving. Drive as far as you need to in order to go to a different pharmacy. This one is just horrible. It is a shame that stores can get away with treating paying customers like they don't matter. Just a CVS, but they seem to do everything right. Nobody pesters me when I don't want help, but I get it quickly when I need it. The sales deals are endlessly and, I think, intentionally complex but advertised sale items are in stock, correctly marked; and when I have multiple discounts like a coupon AND extra bucks I get everything coming to me. In the last five years I've probably had to make returns or exchanges half-a-dozen times and it's always been smooth--one was a $70 blood pressure gauge that was not DOA but gave inaccurate readings, and had been packaged in such a way that you couldn't open it without utterly destroying the package; they took it back and credited it toward a different unit without blinking. The pharmacy lines can be long but I've found the staff to be efficient and courteous. In front, they are johnny-on-the-spot about adding new clerks when a line forms, and whoever's in photo will start calling "I can take someone here." read more
