What an unfortunate event happened to TARGET A FEW DAYS AGO, was shopping and found all the refrigerators EMPTY! I know the prices are high but to have EMPTY REFRIGERATORS, till I asked one of the Managers in the area. According to him the store lost power NOT TARGETS FAULT BUT NATIONAL GRID! So, they estimated that 1/4 of a MILLION DOLLARS OF MEATS and all other refrigerator items were thrown in the dumpster! What's extremely disturbing is that some of the public was trying to salvage some of that food!!! With many people suffering from Food INSECURITY ALL WAS DISPOSED! TARGETS REASON: LIABILITY! Why don't they have anyone that wanted to salvage the waste to sign waivers or donate what was sealed and vacuum packed! Just cause it was 6 hours without refrigeration I'm sure it was still healthy to eat and feed just think what A QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS OF FOOD COULD HAVE BEEN SUPER BENEFICIAL! Sorry to hear this from actual Target employees and they feel the same way! What a tremendous WASTE! Store shelves are still not fully restocked when I visited this year in Sep 2024. I went in for bottled water and had literally only one of two 24-packs to select from (and it was this weird ionized water stuff)... pass. Even going to grab some other supplies and the shelves were messy and needed to get sorted in menswear. Staffers in short supply. They still do have plastic bags, though. Good thing is found some randomly marked down toys on one of the end caps. Totally unnecessary purchase, but at 75% off, it was a reasonable deal. read more

Target has an internal policy that isn't available at all to the public that requires 24 hours' notice for a disabled person to get assistance shopping. Most retailers are able to provide support for disabled shoppers when requested. This is patently ridiculous. Also, apparently HR asked why the blind shoppers didn't have someone with them to help them shop. Adults with disabilities do not need chaperones to make able-bodied peoples' lives easier. This is literally farcical. If I weren't boycotting you all already because of your eagerness to ditch DEI, this would have definitely been it. Terrible behavior. We walked into this Target to check out some home decor items for the condo. They had a nice selection of organizer shelves and cabinets that always help with keeping the place tidy. Their prices are not bad for the quality you get, sometimes you can find cheaper options, but they don't last as long. I find that as a general rule, Target quality is a very good value for the money. Nice ample check out area with plenty of cash registers open. read more

Today 23rd of July 2025 my son and I were very discouraged and disappointed in how the store looked and how little cashier staff was present. I had asked one person about where there pocket books were located and they had to ask 5 other co workers since they didn't know. My son had asked for the Tabitha brown items that were on the site and 3 out of 12 were available! Also since when does targets charge 95 dollars for a stool. Remember its targets not west elm. Welp they done messed up our TV order. Instant loss of 1 Star from original review. See the beautiful photo that one of my friends thought was the stock market hah! 4K?! Those are the number of cracks in the TV. There were only 2 in stock and they gave us the one that was probably dropped, returned and not inspected. You can clearly see someone dropped it in the corner. This TV was completely unusable so we had to waste at least another 2 hours on the phone with customer service and dragging this back to the store with the packaging. I know, I know.... another review that begins with "OMG, I just LOVE Target", but I really do: drop me off at a good Target and I am happy. Clean, organized, lots of employees to ask a question of or just to say hello to, and one nice guy was stocking the shelf in the coffee/tea aisle when he noticed me scanning everything looking for my favorite Twinings tea. He asked what I was looking for, I told him which one but said it wasn't a crisis because Watertown carries it. Some employees might have just left it at that, but he said "oh no, we should have what Watertown has so lets take a look". He took out his handheld whatever-that-cool-thing-is-called, looked up what I needed and found it for me. If you have a favorite tea or are a coffee fanatic and can't live without it, you know how much better you feel if you have enough at home. My only suggestion is to add more self-checkout stations, there are only 4 or 5. Double that amount and they can get more people in-and-out in a snap. read more

The bathrooms have all broken stalls and broken toilet paper rolls. Toilet paper all over the ground. Stopped by today and disturbed by the entire store. I love Target, but this one is the worst. They do not carry a lot of stuff. I came to buy a mixer. I took a shopping cart. I left my shopping cart for one minute when I went to grab something else. When I came back, someone took my cart, and I could not find it. I asked for help, but all employees were rude, nobody helped me. This Target did not have another mixer; that was hilarious. A couple of other times, I came to buy some food, but they did not carry what I wanted. This Target needs to improve their customer service and start to order goods. read more

This store is a disaster. I stopped by here on a weekend day recently, and the place was a total mess. I've been to flea markets in rural Florida that are better kept up. Every rack and table in the clothing sections were not only mixed up, but the items were in literal piles both on the shelves and on the floor. I found myself picking things up and rehanging them at one point, because I felt bad. I also spotted several gross, half-drunk Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks cups left on shelves around the store. I understand there is plenty of blame to be laid on trashy customers who just toss things aside when they don't want them. I actually watched a woman take something from a hanger, decide she didn't want it, and just toss it on a lower shelf in a heap instead of putting it back on the hanger. Still though, the store needs to either train the staff better, or hire more people to keep the place in better shape. At the moment, it feels like everyone who walks in these doors has just given up entirely. read more

Was told there was no way to look up my card in the system with my ID and SSN, but I would be able to come back with my card and receipt to transfer the purchase from my debit card to my target card. Customer service asked me "I can return the items and repurchase them if you want, how many items is it?" with an annoyed look on his face. Then they said they weren't able to do that because I didn't have the items with me. When my wife and I parked, we realized someone left a dog in the car next to us. Windows were cracked but not much, and the dog was panting. We went in the store and came back out about 15 minutes later and the dog was still there. We infomed an employee (Michael). Michael jumped right in, got another worker, got some water for the dog, including trying to fit the water through the small crack of the window so the pup could actually drink it. The store made an announcement with the license plate and asked the owner to come out. By the time the owner came out, it had been half an hour from when we pulled up to when he came out, and the owner gave Michael a pretty hard time, was rude, and said he was "only in the store for 10 min". I was with my TWO TODDLERS and when she finally came out after me saying excuse me this is a family bathroom miss attitude responded "and I don't care". I was in need of a vacuum and three different people help me find the best price and also the most suitable for me which would be not heavy and cordless. Daniel with his blue eyes and big smile has helped me twice by chance and is so personable along with Sabrina and Omar were all hard workers during the July 4 long weekend! The store is impeccable with everything you would ever need and when there's a question you ask one of the helpers in the retail store and they use their walkie-talkies to get you 100% help at that moment!! Throughout the five years that Target has been in Westwood, I have visited this store once when they opened, and now just recently. I am quite impressed with how clean the store still is and how organized it is. It did seem a bit lackluster compared to other locations since it's smaller and doesn't have as much variety. Some of the shelves were not as fully stocked as I would have liked, but I found everything I was looking for. On the positive side, it's a spacious store with both a Target Cafe and Starbucks inside. There is an Optical area as well. Staff, including the management, were all very friendly, kind and helpful. Steph, one of the managers, was especially helpful in regards to price discrepancies in grocery. This store is definitely convenient for me, I live only about ten minutes away, and I will definitely be making it a regular stop now.... need to stop making those long trips to Milford or Framingham for my Target trips. I was really excited when I heard Target was coming to Westwood and eagerly headed over with the $5 off promo coupons they kept sending in the mail shortly after it opened. However, I've been a little disappointed in this Target. First, it's smaller than the one in Stoughton and there is way less selection. They don't have nearly as much to choose from in the groceries, automotive and magazine sections, for example. The magazine selection was perhaps the biggest disappointment. This Target might be okay if you just need a few basics, but I'd recommend going to another, larger Target if you really want to do an epic Target run. The parking is nice here though. I met my sister in law and 18 month old niece so we could pick up some things for my stepfather's birthday. We shopped around, found what we needed and walked to the self-checkout. We began scanning our items at separate kiosks. We were at the last two kiosks, closest to the exit door. About halfway through our transaction, the customer service representative, Anna Kay, walked over to stand behind my sister in law and I. It made me very uncomfortable, as she stood there ignoring all other customers at the self-checkout but only standing behind us for what I assume was to "monitor" us. After standing there for a few minutes she then began telling my sister that she didn't scan items in her cart, obviously you see that she didn't check out or press done scanning. So she's still scanning her items, she never gave the impression that she would not continue to scan and pay for the items. At this point, we became extremely uncomfortable. I asked Anna Kay if there was a manager available, she motioned me over to the customer service desk. I asked her if it was possible to have the manager meet me at the kiosk. She obliged and asked another employee to call over the manager, Hal. Hal came over and asked if I needed anything. I told him that I would pay for my items and asked if we could speak privately. I completed my payment and motioned for Hal to come away from the registers so I could speak freely. Anna Kay still remained near us and began picking up random items at a vacant register, for what I assume was to hear what I was going to speak with him about. I never did see her move back to the same spot where she was "monitoring" my step sister and I. I also did not see her "monitor" any other customers before I left the store. I won't make accusations because I can't read Anna Kay's thoughts, but I felt as though we were being profiled. Not sure if it was based on our ages or our race but either way, it's not cool. I told Hal about the situation and how uncomfortable we felt. He immediately jumped on the defensive and began stating that the reps at self checkout are there to make sure our transaction runs smoothly and remove any sensors off of razors or other items that may require it (I didn't have any of those items but whatever). I told him that she didn't ensure any of the other patrons were having smooth transactions, only us. Do they not deserve the same treatment or attention as us? I found it strange that instead of trying to make me feel valued and appear even the slightest bit remorseful about my experience, he defended Anna Kay's actions. This made me feel like he completely disregarded my concerns and nothing will be done. Their behavior was out of line and I'm still in awe at how I was treated. I'm more discouraged at Hal's behavior because I expected more from someone in a leadership position. I used to work in retail in undergrad, so believe me I understand what it's like when a customer comes to a manager with a concern, especially when the employee feels they did nothing wrong. However, being on the other side of that, I know that you should at least try to rectify the situation by making the customer feel as though their voice is valued. Not defending the poor behavior that is now making a bad situation worse. I spend a lot of money at this Target, and quite frankly I love it! However, if this is the way customers are treated, I will not spend another penny in this location, no matter how much farther I have to drive or how long I have to wait to receive an online order. I cannot stand to be profiled or made to feel like a criminal in a place that I spend money in. Whether it's $200 or $2, I deserve to be treated with respect. I don't think I'll be spending any time at this Target at all. I would love to have someone follow up personally as the concerns were very personal and handled inadequately. However, seeing as I've spoken with a leadership team member that could've cared less, that may be a stretch. Until never University Avenue Target. read more

This Target is new and clean which is nice and all but the selection stinks. They very rarely have what I want or need. Whether it be a specific shade of bronzer, brand of eyeliner, or type of shampoo - it's never in stock! Their grocery section is abysmal compared to the South Bay location (my usual go to because it's close to work). I'm only giving 3 stars because the location is close enough that I can take the risk of leaving empty handed. Parking is ample and the employees are friendly. read more

I usually go to this Target , however my last experience was heart breaking. At self check out an employee, older, short blonde haired woman named Cathy thought that she would ignore helping all the other customers and focus on me, my husband, and 1 yr old daughter holding a toy. We scanned the toy first and gave it back to my child, then we proceeded to do the other items in the cart. Cathy thought it was ok to come and just move things in the cart and tell us it would be easier if we did this(moves things around). So she continues to watch ignoring the other customers flagging for help. As we leave my husband says, " would you like to see the receipt" she says "no your fine I was watching you". Then follows us to exit and says "well I can just get security if you want" We didn't stoop to her level, we kept our heads high and walked out. Customers who saw the interaction gave us some positive words. In the parking lot I called the store and spoke to a manager named Katelyn, because I have to admit I was extremely embarrassed and full of emotions. She was very understanding and empathetic to the situation and I'm hopeful that she'll be able to speak with Cathy on how to speak and interact with customers that don't look like her. Needless to say, it's a very nice store with not so nice service to customers they may not respect. read more

The customer service here is very good. Use your red card for purchases, returns are very easy this way. I also love the instant %5 percent off of my purchase when using my red card. I found this location target a little more expensive then the one I normally go to. But it's a pretty clean Target store. Had a return, then always need few items, so the little higher price was not a bank breaker. I would come back to this location just for the friendly customer service! read more

I got 5 star service at the CVS located inside this Target today. The pharmacist was exceptional in handling my prescription and she even went out of her way to make sure I got a version of my antibiotic without a particular filler I am allergic to. new location, clean store, not that many people, friendly staff (on floor and cashier) who really want to help, fair pricing...what's not to love? got a good variety of food items too from frozen dinner (gluten free options!) to everyday canned goods. hope they'll keep this up once the honeymoon period is over. also have not attempted coming on the weekends; will be hesitant to do so as i do not other crowds. weekdays...like you own the store. quiet shopping, fast checkout, spend minutes or hours as you please. I was way too excited to come here and expected maybe way too much from this location, it's basically brand new but compared to the Stoughton target location, this place is barren. I never find what I want here, so I just stick to the basics, and something is up with this place because they don't even have a Goya section like the Stoughton Target has. Maybe they cater more towards a specific group, can't really put my finger on it but that was disappointing and I don't even purchase Goya products like that. But yeah I only come here out of convenience for pretty basic finds. Yes, the carts are cleaner and newer which I like, but I give this place another year. Side note: There is a guy who always sings songs very loud in the store and at first I was indifferent towards this but now it's beginning to be very annoying. This is probably annoying to most customers because I've seen the faces made and I don't blame them because if I wanted to hear someone singing, I would go to another Beyoncé concert. read more

I will not be returning to this Target ever again. I had two $25 gift cards and the cashier scanned both of them. She asked my wife if we wanted the cards back and she said no so she threw the cards in the trash. My red card then did not work after three times because it's worn out but I know it does work because I've used it several times before. The cashier was extremely rude and would not reset or did not know how to reset the computer to allow me to keep trying the red card. I then tried to use another card and told the cashier it wasn't even responding to it. Instead of helping me she completely canceled out all the items and told me and my family to stand aside. The gift cards are now in the trash. We asked for our gift cards back and she obviously took the wrong gift cards out of the trash because of what I will explain next. There's no reason for that because we actually had to go and use a different self checkout where she was the only cashier and obviously didn't know how to do her job. We went through self check and the $25 gift cards we had were showing up as 0 so we called the manager over and the manager told us that we I had $15 on them and it was showing that it was Zero but they said sometimes it takes time for the the money to come back onto the card which is ridiculous because I did not tell the cashier to cancel and the money is not going to come back on the card because the cashier took the wrong cards out of the trash. The managers did not believe us and had the nerve to say that the person who gave us the card wrote the wrong amount on it and it was 15. I don't think anybody there knows what they are doing. My red card worked on first try using self check btw. Horrible experience. Very upset. It's ridiculous that the managers couldn't even help refund the gift cards. I, like most Americans, love target. If I'm being honest, I almost prefer the smaller Target locations - like the one in Somerville - because these larger Target stores in the 'burbs are mad houses at all hours of the day. The Target in Westwood is no exception. I've never been here when the parking lot isn't crazy and the store isn't full with people, and I'm known to get up early in the morning on the weekends and drive over here. Beyond the hustle and bustle, I don't love the layout of this store - it's incredibly hard to find what I'm looking for, and most of the time, I'm walking up and down every aisle to ensure I'm not missing anything. The good thing about this location, and most newer stores are the smaller cart options. I've started using one of the half carts so as not to buy ALL OF THE THINGS, so for that reason alone, this Target location gets an A-OK. read more
