But for those who want to entertain on occasion and need supplies and food, you have found the Holy Grail! The service staff are helpful snd answering all your questions! But if you're good at judging local prices you will notice it is a great savings in bulk! They have a great check out system and carts all around to carry your items! Checkout at cashier is always a horror show. Only 1 cashier open most of the time. Last time I went to pick up just couple items before the store opens, 4 customers lined up in front of the cashier with their dollies. I have waited over 20 minutes for 2 small items. read more

It just so happens this RD is the closest one to me, which I consider myself fortunate. It's nicer than the two older ones in the Boston area and is quieter. This one opened in October 2013 and it shows. There's more lighting, bigger aisles and there aren't too many pallets lying around to block your way. The cold area is organized and, dare I say, pretty, especially the line of prosciutto that tempts you. Service has been good here and I can't complain. Maybe the people here are less miserable with the nicer work environment and more lighting. I hardly see anyone at this location so it's even better that the lines are short, if there's a line at all. read more

Don't ever purchase equipment From them. Once you leave the store you own it. They will not return, or refund your money. The equipment I purchased was damaged. And I had to eat it. Horrible way to do business. read more

This is the best one around. The Everett location shows how horrible one can be. It is noisy aisles are crammed with pallets employees extremely sullen and unfriendly and not helpful. Had an employee so unhelpful he left me hanging for a half hour and when I l to management they just got angry st me and at the employee. Terrible culture there. Avon is the opposite. Smiling helpful people from the delightful ladies at check in to the guys on the loaders to the check out people. Management must be much better in Avon. Product is put away so aisles are clear. They're as fast as they can be and help find whatever you need. If you're looking for something they'll walk with you to ensure you find it. read more

Just started going to the Avon store after several years of going to another closer store, boy! I wish I had started going earlier . The Avon store is just a much better experience all around. I recommend it highly for anyone who has not been there even if it is not as close as one of the other locations. read more

Let's be honest, NOBODY likes going to restaurant depot... unless maybe you're a friend of someone who is a member and NOT in the service industry... but the Avon location makes life so much more enjoyable. I lucked out when this location opened as I work full time a minute down the road while also owning a restaurant 10 minutes from the RI location. If I had my choice, I would NEVER go to the RI location again. Depot in Avon is CLEAN... SPOTLESS and VERY WELL ORGANIZED! Everyone is friendly and helpful. I was happy to see one of the more helpful associates from RI now working there (a younger light haired guy, I forget his name). THIS is what a depot should look like! I am also VERY appreciative of the covered and functional parking lot, a depot experience I was not accustomed to. Overall, the only thing preventing this from being a 5 star is their speed of service at the checkout. I'm sure with time they can pick up the pace a little as most of the employees are probably new but this is the ONLY area where RI blows them away. read more
