I always enjoy shopping at this TJ Maxx store. It is located in a strip mall in Quincy Center and is a very decent sized location with plenty of free parking in the spacious parking lot at the strip mall. You can score a lot of great deals here on merchandise that you would pay much higher prices for at some of the bigger department stores. Even higher end skincare and cosmetics can be found here at much better prices. The merchandise in the various departments can be scattered around a bit but if you like to browse and look around chances are very good that you will come up with some excellent finds. Clothing, linens, beauty items, home decor, all available here. The staff is always friendly and helpful in the store. The store is kept very neat and clean. It is very easy to get to this location and if you are not driving it is only about 10 or 15 minutes at the most from the Quincy Center train station. We stop in here at times seeing what lotions and facial cleansers they might have. It's usually a lotto but you can find some good Korean and Japanese products on the shelf that we liked. The store is usually pretty busy with a line for checkout, clothing can be a gamble to find something you like but they have competitive prices on name brands and a lot of end cap tidbits like charges, usb hubs, cameras, headphones, colognes and perfumes as well as fitness gear and water bottles. The furniture they have are still a bit pricey compared to buying new online. They also had some Halloween decor and pottery/ storage etc. Overall a good local store. read more

I'm a fan of T.J. Maxx, especially their Gourmet section. It's where you can find high-quality food items at discounted prices. I always find bomb new treats I wouldn't see at my regular grocery store. Don't go here unless you have 20+ minutes to wait to check out even if the line is small. The customer service is very poor at this store... too short cashier staff and they chat forever with guests and each other. Then wait for it... The cashiers push that darn TJX Credit Card and God forbid someone says they'll open one. OMG. It will lieratally hold the line up for an additional 10 minutes while we wait for the staff to input the information and get customers approved (or not.) What a come up!!! I remember shopping TJ Maxx as a kid and now to find things as an adult is kind of nostalgic I guess. Great options for casual wear when I come. Selection of pants is great. I've gotten a few designer name pieces plus some higher end fashion store (Express, Guess) pieces here and it's been more than 50% less. Nice selection of handbags/luggage. The shoe selection is ok. I'm not a fan of the way they display the shoes but space is key so I get it. Although, I was in need if some running shoes for my DH but was surprised to see that they don't carry mens shoes. However, DH was also surprised to see what he could find in here. Nice selection of shirts for the office/work if you don't mind digging. We went through the whole rack of mens shirts one by one and found some great deals. Again, pieces from higher end stores and brand names. The home section is a treasure trove of magical Doo-ditties, again you just have to be willing to look through the stuff. I loooooove candles, and I can walk out with 5 or 6 decorative/scented candles for the price of 1 at a good candle store. If you got the time go and spend a good hour just looking at everything, I'm sure you'll find something. read more

Very rude staff! I was at the make up section and obviously, i had to open a few boxes to check out the color (didn't touch the product, didn't use it). The sales associate saw me trying to open a package and started yelling at me that i cannot do that. Well, how am i supposed to buy makeup if i don't even know what color it is? This TJ Maxx is close to my house. It always as great marked downs and awesome seasonal items for the home etc. There is plenty of parking and it is about a 5-10 walk from Quincy Center Station. The lines seem to be very long lately, not just at this location but others also. You can get anything you want there from pet clothing to amazing Patriots gear! With the holidays coming up it is great for last mins gifts, etc. read more

My 3 year old daughter got yelled at and brought to tears by a sale associate named Caroline because she touched a snow ball that was on display for sale. The manager was made aware of this and her reaction was I'll have a chat with her. Customer service at its finest. read more

This is a very hassle free shopping experience when it comes to things that you are looking for that come under mindless shopping. Strange that I say that but it's true. I come here sometimes just to get away from the day to day craziness of life. And it helps. Some key plus points: - Conveniently located in a strip mall right near Quincy Ctr T station, it is walking distance. - If you are parking is never a problem. The strip mall has parking spots galore - the store itself is not super big (as compared to one in Downton crossing at least) but big enough that you will have to walk the length of the store only once to feel you have done some walking. - the sections are very well compartmentalized and are easy to navigate from one to the other. - I have found things in this store at great deals and with multiple choices (of the same kind of product for example) which I haven't in other Maxx's. All in all, a very hassle free shopping experience. read more

The manager here alone gets 5 stars!! I've been shopping for the pefect new purse for months! I finally found one last week and loved it! I bought it and had it for literally 3 days and a rhinestone fell out of it. I didn't have a receipt and came back thinking this place was going to give me a huge nightmare! The woman at the register actually did..She told me to speak to the manager. Who took one look at the bag and knew right away it was one of theirs and knew by looking at it was still brand new..let me exhchange it for one almost exactly like it..they didn't have the same one anymore. This isn't the largest TJ Maxx, nor do they have the best selection of items or the best organization. One thing that KILLS me is that they don't have shopping baskets - only carts and they're not only hard to find because there are so few, but they're also difficult to wheel around the store because things seem to be fairly cramped. I do, however, visit close to every week (sad, I know). They have a pretty good housewares selection, even though it's usually unorganized and cluttered. Their was a woman working here( couldn't get her name who was mean and very confrontational when I visited this store Saturday 1/4/20 at 3 on. I was aggravated with not being able to move the cart for my disabled mother to lean n and she got very in my face about how she was explaining to me and I wasn't listening, giving me all kinds of grief. I think she may have been a manager but I'm not 100 percent sure, since she was clearly on a power trip. Never going back there again!! read more

The dressing room attendant must hate her job because she was extremely rude and demeaning to my friend and I when we were going to try on clothes. She told us to leave our items on the clothing rack while she counted them, but talked down as if I was a five year old and didn't understand what she was saying. One of the items I tried on, I liked, but decided against it due to her horrible customer service. When you dislike people this much and you work in customer service, it's time to switch professions. read more

I love TJMaxx, this TJMaxx is within walking distance from my house. I promise it had nothing to do with me moving here... maybe The selection here is always great, I am not a small girl and I always find fun things for myself here and not just obnoxiously ugly squined nightmares. Also the housewares section is great. Generally the store is pretty crowded, only like it has outgrown the space. This would be fine but the crowd here sometimes can leave a lot to be desired. They WILL push you out of the way. What makes this store stand out is that the staff is AMAZING. I am in here semi-regularly and they are always so nice and helpful. read more

This TJ Maxx, definitely has good finds most of the time, but I have a bone to pick with them. I found an AWESOME Columbia two piece coat set, and one piece was missing, what a shame. I bring it up to the customer service and the manager says they'll look for the outer shell and call me back within the week to let me know if they found it and if not, give me a reasonable offer for the piece they did have. I NEVER got a call back, which pissed me off because I really wanted that coat! :( Anyway, this location is decent sized, and the stuff usually isn't picked over too much. This store is hidden behind a Burger king, a short walk from Quincy T stop. This is the first TJ maxx that gets anything less then four stars. Here is why -the whole store has maybe five carts. No more then five. There are no little baskets and zero of those shoulder mesh bags. You got to figure out how to walk around and dig for stuff while holding a set of cards, some socks, a scarf, seven dresses and an avocado slicer. I had to stand by the register for about 20 min, while holding all the above mentioned items, and wait until someone with a card would check out and let me steal their cart. -the shoppers at this store are notorious. The kids are running wild. Two grannies tried to mow me down with their carts. Rude. -the store needs a spring cleaning and wider aisles. They did have the standard selection and I did get an amazing pair of Steve Madden flats for a whopping $15. read more

Store is in fairly popular area, so it's gets super busy and sometimes messy. Needed to grab a swimsuit quickly and they had many options. I used to love to go to tj maxx and shop and I always find what I look for, for a very satisfying price till the last two visits, the customer service there is bad I have a three years old daughter she is well behaved and she only gets shy around strangers which is common in kids her age she picked a toy and at the register she wanted to give it to the cashier so I can pay for it and the lady she didn't want to process the purchase and she insisted that my daughter should say the magic world I told her my daughter knows how to say please and thanks she has good manners she's just shy and don't try hard cus she won't talk to you at all cus she's shy then the cashier mentioned oh it's bad that kids nowadays are rude and no manners I was like she is only three for god sake and left today I went again to tj maxx with my daughter and she saw a snow ball that she liked she grabbed it to check it and then she yelled at her and told her don't touch it I was in the shoe area and then my daughter ran to me crying she was like mama let's go she told me the woman yelled at me I looked for her to talk to her but she was gone then I spoke with the manager no apology the only thing she said I'll talk to her and she is a daycare teacher that's why she acts this way I was like even worse cus she doesn't know how to handle kids and let's say my daughter did something wrong which is not the case with her you talk to me or be nice about it don't scare a three years old and the manager was like basically she is like that I'll talk to her but I'm sorry I won't go there anymore and I've been going to that one for more than 10 years I will not spend even a penny there because of what my daughter went through I'm so disappointed read more

I used to get all my clothes from this Quincy location but have recently found it very frustrating to find anything an adult would like. The TJ Maxx in Braintree sucks. It is overrun with home goods, the shelves are BARE, the inventory hasn't been updated in months. Obviously the district manager and store manager take no pride in their work or the store! I will drive the extra miles to Stoughton and Norwell. read more

This particular location always has me coming back because it's close to home and there's always something that's worthy of trying on/buying. I am a short person so my only pet peeve is not having a separate petite section; I know that it's mixed in, but it doesn't help much. My go to sections are both the junior and active wear departments. The junior section always has a variety of cute tops that can be worn for both work and going out. I like the active wear section at this location because there are a lot of sport bras, work out tops and work out pants to choose from. I haven't shopped the handbag section or jewelry sections yet, but it's because I go to other stores for those. The handbag section is huge though and I am in need of another cross body bag...sooo perhaps soon! I really like that the store is neatly organized and the staff are very helpful. It's nice that there are team members in each department so if you have questions, they're there. Prices are reasonable because the brands are discounted from a department store that sells the same brand. This location is conveniently located next to a Dollar Tree, Olympia Sports, Boston Market, Papa Ginos, Star Market and it's about a 10 minute walk to Quincy Center T station. There are ample parking spots, but it quickly fills up around the peak times of shopping. I usually park at the very back where the drive thru Dunkin Donuts is located because those never get used as much! read more

So I usually go in every 2 weeks or so, today I cruised the jewelry counters & tried over the course of 20 minutes to get the attention of any salesperson. The one person who was there at the start was finishing up with someone but called a second who took her time getting there & then neither made eye contact with any of us waiting but helped a couple who just arrived. This TJ location is clean and well curated. You can find e-gadgets, clothing, household goods, shoes, & much more. The prices here usually amazes and they keep their inventory fresh. I like coming here for sportswear as I can get brands like Nike, Under Armour, & Adidas here for a fraction of the price. The clothing is usually past season and some of the dress shirts are imperfect but they are usually marked. Still, the items are often times well worth it for the big price cut. Overall, TJ is like a variety store that offers a little bit of everything and is a great place to browse to see if the item you've been wanting can be found here for an affordable price. read more

This is to let people know that if you are parked in the Car Park at TJMaxx an hour and a half after the store is closed your car will be towed.. It just happened to me last night.. I was coming from the Burger King direction.. I was standing talking with a friend and I actually thought my car was being broken into..That is when I started running towards my car and the Tow truck driver got into his truck and just kept going ignoring me totally ..I put the alarm on,I waved as I ran after him and he just kept going..I immediately rang the company to ask him to stop but to no avail.. The cost to me was $130.90 to get my car back.. The name of the Tow Company is Emergency Towing and I found them to be extremely dishonest in how they operate. I know the guy saw me as he hesitated but decided to keep going... so if you shop in TJMaxx and leave your car in the car park after they have closed, Emergency Towing will come and take your car and cost you a fortune to get it back. read more
