Love this TJMaxx! They are one of the runway locations, so they have a larger selection + offer designer brands here. For apparel, you'll find a bunch of Theory, MaxMara, Burberry, Frame, and brands similar. They also have designer bags, like YSL, Burberry, and Celine. For shoes, today I saw they had some VEJAS, Golden Goose, and UGGS. This location has my heart because you can find some really cool stuff here that you normally wouldn't find at other locations. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Big store, i believe this is a HQ or legacy store? Not sure the term used in TikTok haha. Anywho, this store does have a section of name brand luxury items on the front under lock and key. Prices are a good discount off msrp so if you're in the market, could find something good. We checked out some clothes for the fall, the lady looked at some casual bags for daily use and looked for some clearence lululemon. They also have a few racks of name brand lotions, facial cleansers, hydrating masks etc. Parking lot is a bit tight but there's free parking available. read more

Yesterday one girl in check out made my day- so pleasant, soft spoken, professional- her name is Carmen S. The quality of their products is disappointing. For example, I received a '100% Merino wool' sweater for Christmas, and after just three wears, it started pilling badly (see attached pictures). When I returned it to the store, the staff apologized but claimed they weren't responsible for the quality of sweaters purchased by corporate. After asking friends and relatives about their experiences, it seems this issue is common. While the items may appear well-made, the materials are likely cheap rejects, possibly from China, now being sold in the Boston area due to limited competition. Very disappointing quality for the price. We're avoiding T.J. Maxx and Marshalls. read more

One of the few TJMaxx's (off the runway) that have some quality product but like ALL the rest, a TON of junk.

My new review will only state that comparing pricing at this store to prices at Frugal Fanny store, this store has better prices. It might be a bit better than the Marshals up the street. Definitely better than Home Goods! It still could use more woman's small goods in reasonable prices. More Coach smalls, Kate Soade Smalls etc. it's just ok, could be sooo much better. read more

Great TJM with an excellent selection of items that are a bit "higher end" than at some locations. It is well-organized, stocked, has a very large "runway" department and the home goods section has great items that I haven't seen in other stores. The only annoying part is Needham Street itself, it is almost always a hassle to drive down it (and with more development, it is getting worse). This store is in a good-sized plaza and there is not a traffic light going out, so your best bet is to take a right and turn around at one of the stores across the street if you need to turn left. Your sanity (as well as the drivers behind you) is worth it! read more

Zero stars for Neriman and a punky college kid. I forget his name - maybe Andrew? He was one of the cashiers and needs a serious life lesson in customer service, which he hasn't been taught yet. I was told prior to coming to the store I would be able to get a store credit for one t-shirt and that my purchase receipt can be tracked, since I didn't have that with me. I later found out I was misinformed, but the attitude of Neriman was beyond unacceptable and unprofessional. Her tone and attitude were vile and she even said "You bought this yesterday but already lost the receipt?!?!" That is quite strange for someone who I don't know to sound so unnecessarily judgmental and atrocious. I then stood up for myself and told her she was being rude and this is no way to speak to any customer. Since the college kid is young and lacks real experience, he defended Neriman and gave me weird attitude, just to look good in front of her, but other staff did not, including Sam and a few other female employees, who all told me Neriman has this reputation. I spoke with one of Neriman and Andrew's supervisors named David, who was a good listener and called this experience "disgusting." He did not follow up with me as he had promised, but I did find out this situation was dealt with involving the higher ups. David also said Neriman has a track record for unprofessional behavior and that Andrew's behavior was also unacceptable and inappropriate. While I was talking to David about this situation, a few female employees near us looked at me and gave me knowing nods, like they "get it," further validating the need for this review. Again, Neriman and Andrew are terrible with people and they are such a sad representation of T.J. Maxx. read more

I'm a huge TJ Maxx fan, so I was thrilled when I stumbled upon this store near the hotel I was staying in. And since I had a few hours before my hotel room would be ready, I decided to check out this store. That was a dangerous decision (as it usually is!) as I found a lot of clothes I had to get! The selection here is better than at other TJ Maxx stores but not as vast as others, so I'd say this is an average size store. The various departments were all organized and laid out well, with good signage, and the dressing rooms were clean and many were available. As usual, the lady manning the dressing room area was nice, but at this store (unlike others in WA state, for example) there was a maximum number of clothing items one could bring in to the dressing room (I forget how many. 8? 10? Something like that). In WA state, one could bring in unlimited amount of clothing - which I really liked, as I was able to try on tons of clothes without having to re-dress and "reload" at my shopping cart outside. Oh well. The line-up to pay for items was long but at least it moved quickly. Many cashiers were open. I got a bunch of tops and some awesome pants for a steal (the pants were in clearance from $50 to $8.99. Last pair available, designer brand and super well-made. Can't beat that!). Gotta love TJ Maxx. read more

horrible service (would have given it a 1 but the manager was kind so I gave it a 2). good selection of items and okay prices but the service made me not want to come to this location again. we went to return an item and the young lady working said we can't return the item even though the item was unopened. we asked to speak to a manager and the worker responded "you're going to talk to a manager for just $25?". this is such a privileged and ignorant thing to say because $25 is a lot of money in today's society. there are people who desperately need that money. i was absolute disgusted to hear something like this. the manager was kind though and made sure we left feeling better about the experience. read more

not my fave TJX. the layout is kept in good order and good presentation but the clearance sections are small and very picked through.

The flagship TJ Maxx that just closed just cannot be replaced. Over time I've come to the conclusion that it's quite ridiculous how many stores move spaces, and how many move more than once. Typically, there is good reason for a move, like a need of more space or a different setup for whatever the establishment can be. TJ Maxx in Newton didn't need anything, and there wasn't anything that could have made the former store at 260 Needham Street better. The former TJ Maxx was the absolute BEST one around, and this one is just a bit better than average. Now, I shouldn't be too upset.... this is a decent and nice store. I will admit that the intention of the move to a new shopping center was a good thought (but the former store still shouldn't have closed). They are still one of the larger TJ Maxx stores in the area, that has some of the best inventory, but since it's not as large, they aren't able to provide as fabulous of a selection. Staff are friendly, kind and seem to be already taking very good care of the store. Currently, the perfectly placed Christmas displays look untouchable. Surprisingly large luggage area at this location. I hope I am able to find all the treasures I used to find across the street at the old location, but for now, am not sure if I will. Time will tell. Pretty good store, but not worth going out of your way to go to like the former location that would have been worth a trek. 4 stars. read more

Be beware making any returns at this TJ Maxx and the HomeGoods across the street. Once, I returned $50 worth of clothes, and when I looked at my credit card statement a few weeks later, the return hadn't gone through (unfortunately I stupidly trusted the return went through and tossed the receipt). Once, I tried to return a bathmat to HomeGoods across the street, and they accused me of stealing it to try to return it. Did I have the receipt? Yes. They simply said "their item numbers didn't match" so I must have stolen the bath mat. I have a graduate degree, a good job, and I'm a mom of 2.. I'm not going to risk going to jail by trying to steal and then return a $20 bath mat! I am shocked at the "customer service" and would never, ever, EVER visit this TJ Maxx or the Home Goods on Needham Street ever again. read more

This store is great in selections and quality of merchandize and excellent pricing. Most of all, check out is easy and the line moves quickly since they keep many cashiers available. Cashiers are soooo professional-courteous, efficient. and pleasant. I love shopping here for kitchenwares, sweaters, cadigans, bed and bath stuff and organizers and decorations. read more

I liked the previous location better mostly because of the parking spaces - I can never find one here in peak hours or if I find it, there is still a decent walk involved. I like their RUNWAY for women but they are always pretty short of RUNWAY shoes. The kids section is pretty good. However, the men's RUNWAY is very poor. There is barely anything. read more
