Staff is hit or miss... i have had some fantastic ladies help me, but i have also been looked down upon by one lady when i was there who got mad that i was looking at something on a rack (which is not labeled "hold rack" or anything, and looks like all of the others). I pulled something out to look at it and she flipped out and said "THAT IS MY STUFF, LEAVE IT ALONE"... that was rude and soured my taste a bit, but the others i have dealt with are very nice. Wish they had a website we could buy through. I have to go there as my Dad's personal buyer for my mom all the time (they live out of town), and it is a pain. They don't have a website with all of their items online so you must go in.

I think I tried on 50+ pieces over the course of 3-4 hours (I know... I'm a little crazy, and I shop like it's an Olympic sport ), and Diana was incredible from beginning to end. She gave honest feedback, suggested perfect pieces to pair with tops and bottoms I liked, and patiently ran back and forth countless times to grab different sizes and colors. She was also incredibly organized, keeping track of what I was buying in-store versus what would be shipped to my home, which made the whole process so much easier. Toward the end, after I'd gone through everything I picked myself, I asked Diana to surprise me with items she thought I'd love. She absolutely nailed it. Every piece she brought matched my style perfectly. She somehow understood exactly what I was looking for--even when I couldn't put it into words. Shopping is usually stressful for me because I'm not very confident when it comes to fashion, but Diana made the experience genuinely fun and effortless. I walked out of the store much poorer , but also incredibly relieved and excited because I finally have a wardrobe full of pieces that make me feel confident. Soka has a wide variety of dresses, and each one is unique! I quickly selected about ten to try on and then found the PERFECT dress. It was quite a bit more money than the on-line dresses, but when you consider your time, it was well worth it. Soka is low key. There was no pressure from her at all to buy a particular dress. She spent a lot of time pinning the dress for alterations to get a perfect flattering fit. If you are frustrated shopping for a mother of the bride dress, definitely give her a try.

The dress was huge on me and she had to take it in from every angle. I was ready to pay north of a $100 because the dress needed so many alterations. When she gave me my receipt, the whole thing cost $80!! I was pleasantly surprised.

When I was here, the lot was well maintained with no litter visible. There is one entrance and one exit for Commonwealth Ave. It does not have a turn lane for those crossing traffic.
