    Four years ago, I bought 3 sinks and Granite for my 3 bathrooms from Onyx. One of the sinks has a crack in it (I just noticed). It started under the rim of the under mounted sink. I called to have it replaced by them and was told that they do not cover that. I feel that this is something that was done at installation and slowly developed. Or the fault of the manufacturer. I will update as I find out more but I am negotiating with them at this point in that they said they do not repair? I feel it should be replaced. Update will follow I heard back from the "New" owner and The sink has a 1 year warranty. They add an extra year to that so they say something must have dropped on it. There is no sign of that and it is in a small powder room. The way the crack is larger coming from under the rim and smaller at the end makes me think it was installed by them too tightly. They do not want to help so I will not go back or use them again. I am wondering if anyone else had this happen?

    Kitchen renovation can be stressful. Using Onyx's instant quote on its website, we easily finalized a list, made a 40 minute trip, reviewed the options with Jennifer who showcased the set of slabs in our budget, and got two quotes. She presents all the facts we want to know so fluently, we put down the deposit with confidence. We're very happy with the result!

    We did a bath remodel and went to Onyx for a counter top. They are so helpful and friendly with many many samples to choose from! They installed the counter top today and it looks from better than we imagined! The guys who installed it obviously knew what they were doing. They took only 20 minutes to install the countertop and drill the holes for the faucet set! They cleaned up after themselves and we could not be more pleased with the counter top or the installation! Terrific price and terrific experience!!

    Our family chose to work with the Wiese Company on three separate occasions. The first project was…read moreto redesign our kitchen and dining area. They were able to completely transform our space by tearing down a load bearing wall and open up the kitchen and dining area. This has renewed the way we now use the space and has made the kitchen the social gathering area that we have always wanted. The second project was replacing 30 year old windows in our bedrooms, master bath and den. The Wiese Company was thoughtful to think about our existing windows and pick new windows that complement the overall home's design. Our last project was a complete overhaul of our home's exterior. Our home was insulated and sided with a combination of metal and wood siding. In turn, the updated siding modernized our 1974 home to the contemporary home we always wanted. What we liked about the Wiese Company: 1. The design and build process was seamless. They owned the project from start to finish. We didn't have to deal with any additional contractors. 2. They thoughtfully incorporated our design ideas. 3. They kept us updated on the progress through weekly meetings, so we always were informed and involved. 4. They finished on time and budget! Overall, the Wiese Company is great to work with and always listened to ensure that our vision was captured. Our family looks forward to working with the Wiese Company on our next future project.

Demo: The kitchen was scheduled to be demoed and the demo company arrived. Instead of letting the demo company tape off the kitchen (hang plastic to protect the rest of the house) Ray decided to tell his handyman/site manager to tape the rooms. He did an ok job except he left loose openings in several spots. This let to a substantial amount of dust being spread over the first floor of the house, including a decent amount of plaster dust on a new $12,000 audio system. The good news is that the handyman/site guy did a decent job cleaning it up. It was not a gigantic deal and was resolved. Enter first real "on the job Ray Wiese" experience. I called Ray and told him that it was not a great way to make a first impression for work being done at my house. It was a gentle push back to get Ray to understand that it was a little sloppy. RAY STARTED SCREAMING AT ME. He screamed at me that I should "never say that to him" that "maybe they should not finish the job" and many other things. I was unable to get a single word in. He SCREAMED at me every time I tried to say anything. Here is the fact: I gently told him that it was not ok to get dust all over my house and his reaction was to scream at me. He never apologized to me. Ever. Then as the project progressed several small issues came up. For example the water filter for the kitchen sink and the heat for the bathroom that is attached to the kitchen and a few other small items. The water filter: The water filter was placed under the sink in the extreme back of the cabinet literally up against the power outlet for the disposal. It is pretty much impossible to get in there and get the leverage you need to change the filter. I brought this up to Ray and he would not budge. He refused to have the plumber move it, got angry at me again and told me to hire a plumber to change it when it needed to be changed. The heat in the bathroom: The heat in the bathroom was a radiator placed right next to the toilet. As anyone with experience knows, the salt in urine will splash on the radiator (no matter how careful someone is), this will cause the radiator to rust. I asked the guys (contractors) if we could put a "toe kick" heater under the vanity - they had installed two of them in the kitchen. The contractors told me it was "definitely doable" but there would be a cost difference. I said "yeah, I get that, lets do it". Then they said, "...And we have to get that past Ray". Meaning they had to ask Ray. Well, they did. And I did as well. And again, Ray yelled at me and refused to make any changes because that would "push the timeline". I told him I was fine if it got pushed but he yelled back "Well, I'm not!" Other small issues got the same response -- yelling and refusal to engage. I made multiple attempts to resolve the water filter after Ray told me to "hire a plumber." He never responded. Texts, calls. Nothing. The bathroom heat was the same -- yelled, refused, went silent. I even sent a detailed email agreeing to his communication standards and asking only to be treated with respect. He never acknowledged the screaming. Not once. I cannot recommend The Wiese Company to anyone.

Unfortunately I am not the only one who has endured a bad experience with her. MH I warn anyone who will listen away from this unethical business and owner Robin Boyce. I had the misfortune to be her client and endure her careless, unprofessional, dishonest and ultimately abusive and vulgar treatment. My "custom kitchen" arrived without the custom elements and with a grossly oversized refrigerator. The kitchen designer blames someone else for a major kitchen error and refuses to fix it! (See photos) I had the exact same experience with the shutters and the custom stair-runner I ordered from her. They were both delivered with errors and missing parts, and Design West has done NOTHING to correct its errors. This is the worst experience I've ever had with another human being, period. I never received an apology on any mistake I swear to God. That's when I realized too late I had hired the wrong person. Robin Boyce/Design Center West scammed me by promising professional results and delivering dirt. Robin Boyce then turned verbally abusive when confronted with her easily disproved lies. (I have all documentation to prove my charges.) This last point deserves special mention. When I expressed my dismay at the errors, delays and lack of accountability, her demeanor shifted immediately from friendly to combative and borderline violent. It was a shock to learn the owner wasn't just a sleaze but mentally unhinged too. When I confronted her in her store after she ignored my contractor's emails and texts, she began screaming profanities at me while hurling insults about my appearance and character, which I presumed was an intimidation tactic. That felt sickening, but it worsened when she came at me with her arm pulled back as if to throw a punch, but thankfully she stopped herself before landing her fist in my face. I feel certain the only thing that stopped her was a possible assault charge. I would feel sorry for Ms Boyce if she wasn't a thief, and if her emotional instability didn't manifest in such an ugly manner. But no mental state excuses her dishonesty, mentally healthy or not. Not a word of this review is hyperbole. I lost thousands of dollars and was blindsided by a venomous verbal assault because I had the temerity to call out Robin Boyce on her mendacity and fraud. I could provide a colorful litany of her actions, but suffice it to say that it involved a lot of obscene finger, hip and hand gestures. Incidentally, her staff just sat there like dummies the entire time and let it all happen. Apparently they don't have an issue working for such a repulsive woman. Prior to my dealings with her, Robin was verbally abusive to my contractor on multiple occasions as well when he asked her about delayed deliverables. Following is an example of one the few correspondences between him and Robin that isn't littered with her F-bombs: "Shut up. Stop talking. Don't tell me what to do. Its not Maureen... its you. I'm surprised guys take your mouth, and the way you talk down to others; I suspect you've been punched a few times." This is the first---and I hope last--bad review I ever had to write. Let this brutally honest review serve as a public service announcement to warn others away from this troublemaker. Do not hire Design Center West. You will pay a premium for sloppy, mediocre results, and the owner will curse you when you express your dissatisfaction. This has been a yearlong nightmare that only ended after I hired someone else to fix all of her mistakes. Caveat emptor!

    Robin helped me from start to finish with my new house build. She has done everything from the…read morekitchen (appliances, cabinets) to the tile for all bathrooms, to the stone veneer for the patio. Even during the pandemic she has been on top of things and instructing me to get things ordered prior to shipment delays. She and her team have been responsible, proactive, and truly professional. They are communicating with my contractor and his team and his cabinet installer told me it was such a pleasure working with them he would like to do more jobs with them. Any mistakes (Fedex dropped a vanity and it cracked) were handled quickly and replaced at no cost to me. Her attention to detail is incredible. Additionally, she was very focused on saving me money and making sure I was not buying things I did not need. It has been a true pleasure working with Robin and her team again. I cannot say enough good things about them!

I did a partial kitchen reno and needed to match the existing quartz counters that Mona's team installed last time. Ran into a problem: they didn't have any remnants in that color, and I'd have to purchase a whole slab just to match a little section. Mona came to the rescue! She offered me a remnant of a different color that she promised matches really really closely the original color. And since the new section was to be installed across from the old one (not contiguous), it would be very hard to tell. Sure enough, it worked out perfectly and Mona saved me a lot of money by finding a creative solution. Just like last time, I was doing this long distance without seeing anything in person. With contractors there is always drama or miscommunications, especially if you are not there to supervise. Not with Mona. Her reliability, attention to detail, and smart problem-solving in every project, no matter how small, give me total peace of mind. And the prices are still very reasonable, even years later! They replaced that one with a fabulous granite counter and just recently replaced another old laminate counter with a beautiful white stone counter. The work was done expeditiously and great quality and service! I will use them again in the future and recommend them to family and friends.
