I always enjoy browsing this store but often don't find much. One exception was when I scored some sweet coolers here at a significant discount off retail over the summer. I find the lighting and "artwork" here kind of tacky and low quality but they have some good functional items for organizing and for laundry as well as festive tableware and cooking items like measuring cups at good prices. Went into the store to find a set of nightstands. Not too many options for a matching set, but found a pair where the drawers got stuck and didn't fully shut. Each nightstand was listed for $199.99. I asked an employee if they could do any better on the pricing since the drawers don't shut (not fully functional) and she told me she could give me a $9.99 discount. When I took a second to think about that she told me that $10 off "was really generous". Pretty crazy to be listing them for so much and when they aren't actually working as intended and then to tell me that it's generous of them to take only $10 off. read more

My first time in this location, but had been in one store in another state so I was able to see that this one was also nicely organized, well laid out and very clean. You know how some stores have nice things but the stores just looks/feels "dirty"? Not this store, no way. There are no mass piles of "stuff" which makes you feel as though you need to dig to the bottom and that is the situation you get when you get a deal. HomeSense has everything that a regular (as in "full price") home store would have except for the price tags. Clean ladies room too - Covid or not, this is always a big deal for me. This is my favorite Homesense and I usually find nice things here but now I'm a bit apprehensive shopping here. The other day I witnessed a customer placing her dog on a bath rug for sale and I was so disgusted and thought how unsanitary that was. A sales associate nearby also witnessed it and said nothing. Some people have allergies or are germaphobic and witnessing this just really threw me off. read more

This is the kind of place where you are super excited when you walk in at the sight of possibilities that will soon belong to you, but you end up walking out without buying anything. Lots of lighting options, rugs, pillows, home decor, books, candles, and so on. Many things that you like but don't need, or things that you like but find some blemish or issue that it's not worth buying, or things that you want but they only have one and you need two. Many of the shelves are setup like displays which is visually appealing but hard to find and get items without having to maneuver around items. On many occasions, I had to move things around, hoping not to knock things over. This is especially the case in the home office section. I prefer for things to be organized in a manner that makes it easy to find the same items. I was also disappointed in seeing so many items in inventory that were broken or damaged on display... these items were not on sale or clearance. Home Sense is like Home Goods to the next level. It is a hit or miss shopping experience. read more

Don't EVER put a piece of furniture on hold at Homesense! The Sales Associate never mentioned that I could purchase it at the time of hold. I was told to come back by 5 pm (which I did) and the loveseat was sold to someone else. The excuse was that the yellow sticky note that they used for the hold must have fallen off! I told them their hold system needs revision. I know that in the scheme of things this seems like a minor problem...but I can't tell you how very very disappointed I am. DO not put anything on hold unless you pay for it at the time of hold! CONSUMER BEWARE! read more

Awful awful customer service!!! I read the other reviews and I see what they mean now. I wanted to buy a lamp which I saw by the entrance. It was big and sticking out of the cart, so I asked one of the girls at the register if I could leave it by the register while I look some more. She gave me a nasty look and with an attitude told me that if she remembers she would make sure no one would take it. I was appalled!! I said no never mind. Imagine a giant warehouse where they pull all the HomeGoods stuff from. This is HomeSense. Great prices on things like lighting which isn't in many HomeGoods, a much better layout for furniture, and a quarter of the store is dedicated to rugs. Seriously you shouldn't be going to HomeGoods anymore with HomeSense in town. The only draw back from getting 5 stars is the middle of the store is still the average to really cheap looking goods you find at HomeGoods. If TJ Maxx was smart they would slowly improve that section. You can see it randomly around the store with name brand lighting and decor, so hopefully they get rid of that. read more

My wife purchased a sofa from Home Sense on 11/3/19 and during the transaction was informed we would need to work with an approved third-party vendor to have the furniture delivered. The in-store transaction went smoothly but the drop off was terrible and our sofa was damaged when it arrived. The name of the third-party company is pickup (pickupnow.com) and the service they provided was horrible. The driver called us en route to our house and told us his partner was missing and asked if someone was home who could assist with carrying the sofa into the house. The sofa was small enough for me to help, however we paid $70 for the sofa to come from the store which is 3 miles away. Additionally, I shouldn't have been troubled to help with moving furniture after paying for a delivery service. When the driver arrived I immediately noticed how sloppily he was handling the sofa, and when I got a close-up look at it there was a big scuff on the front of my new furniture. I asked several times how it happened and he shrugged and said he didn't know but that the sofa was wrapped in a blanket the entire time he had it. He then fumbled his way through the assembly and halfway through realized there were parts of the sofa that were screwed together incorrectly. After trying to pound the parts together unsuccessfully he had to get a power drill and completely rearrange the metallic parts attaching the body of the sofa to the seat back. After finally getting the sofa assembled, he rushed through the prompts on his work device (which I'm sure asked if there were any issues with the furniture) and then asked me to sign off saying everything was perfect. I told him I would sign but that I would be contacting both the delivery company and the store. This was a horrible experience and now I'm left with a $400 that has a huge stain/scuff on the front. read more

I walked in and was overwhelmed by STUFF. Every last corner and table space is filled with quite pricy items/decorations. Lights, lights everywhere! I spent about 10 minutes total in there. Walking around, looking at price tags. Sticker shock! I knew this store is associated with TJ's, Marshalls, and Home Goods. With Marshalls and Home Goods in the same plaza, I was wondering WHY they'd put another store in? Another time, I went in for a gift basket. They were placed so high on one another that you wouldn't dare touch them. Like a game of Jenga!! Whoever made the pile topple over...you're buying it all. I could barely get by the table, to look at baskets they placed on the other side of the table. It was so congested and clogged. The gift basket table was inches away from ?? Layaway?? Furniture area?? A large assortment of big furniture.....chairs, sofa, recliners. I wasn't quite sure. However, I held my breath to get around to the back of the table. I tried to call the store with a question. Recording plays over and over. You can't speak to a person. That may have been my straw...broke the camels back. They don't answer the phone???
