They were very helpful (but not intrusive) in store (and very patient with our 2 young kids with us). They have been with the store for at least months so have more expertise and knowledge and it's not like dealing with a store with a revolving door of poorly trained staff. Actual quality furniture with actual quality service and expertise... a delightful and efficient shopping experience :)

I ended up picking up a Christmas ornament for our tree and a little something for my mother-in-law. I felt it was a bit pricy, but that's pretty standard for the area and Boston in general. They do charge you for a bag with purchase of anything. Recommend stopping in, especially if you are a fan of Christmas.

It was at this point that I noticed I had accidentally got the wrong size in these pants I got, and I was about to just switch them out real quick before heading to the checkout. Then over the intercom thing they said "it is now 20 minutes until closing time, so please make your final selections and head to the checkout", and I was like ok perfect timing I just need to switch this and it's right here. But when I turned around to face the rack with the pants, there was a bunch of security guys kinda pushing everyone out. I was right in front of the rack, so I asked the guy who was blocking me from it if I could just switch out the size really quickly, and he firmly said "No. We're closed. You need to go to the checkout." and continued backing me up. So I was like "really I can't just switch it even tho it's right there?", and he said no so I gave up and went downstairs. Now, I do understand that places like to start closing up a little before their closing time so they can leave at that time, but there was 20 whole minutes until the store closed, there was a line at the checkout to wait in, and I just needed to simply switch the item for the correct size. Keep in mind, the rack with the pants was legitimately no more than 2 feet behind him. I felt like it was just so rude and unnecessary for him to not let me. Like why did it matter if I waited in line for 5 minutes, or switched out the pants I needed and waited in the line for 4 1/2 minutes ??? I could have easily switched them and then just been the last person in line, but he just didn't let me!! It was so disappointing!!! I ended up not getting the pants because they were a size too small so I just had to let the check out person take them. :((( Why couldn't I even say ok then I don't want them, and put them back on the rack behind him?? Idk I really don't get it. Then I came back when I was in the area about a month later and all of those pants were completely gone. I saw so many of the same items that were there before, but not the pants I wanted so badly. I can't find them online, or literally anywhere else on earth, which makes no sense. The staff had no idea why this was either/where they went. It's just so upsetting knowing I could have had these one of a kind (apparently?), cutest pants ever, but I can't all because this random security guy wanted to go home 10 seconds sooner. It's giving: how dare you make a mistake, get out! I'm now going to cry myself to sleep over these pants; thank you for listening to my rant.

However, the owner is the reason I refuse to spend any more money in this shop. I've witnessed her kick her dog and drop her cell phone directly on it's head without even taking a second to comfort the poor little pooch. We stopped in…read moresince there was a long wait at Neptune's and I spotted it from across the street from Shake the Tree. The shop is a consignment shop for high end labels and some normal labels such as Ann Taylor Loft. The owner, Wendy, is nice and helpful. I mentioned that I work part time at another high end retailer and she said she used to work at Neiman's. She was really helpful and gave me a card with the hiring manager at NM. Overall, my friend and I both got some items and there was plenty more to look at! They also carry (new) accessories and Butter nail polish. Will be back!
