Staff gets mad at you for asking them to unlock goods. Extremely rude customer service.

Unfortunately I have to give at least one star to post this review. If it were possible to leave no stars or negative stars I would. I transferred my pharmacy business to Big Y Pharmacy 5+ years ago because the customer service at CVS was so consistently atrocious. The only reason I went today was because my doctor accidentally sent my prescriptions there instead of Big Y. This gave me the opportunity to see if anything had improved over the past 5 years. It did not. Still long lines, still customer service reps who seem bitter and put out instead of welcoming, caring and helpful. There was a problem with one of my prescriptions and instead of taking care of it right away I was told to come back in two hours. When I explained that I had a ride and couldn't come back in two hours because I can't drive because I was under anesthesia earlier today I was told, "Sorry, we're about to close the pharmacy for lunch." Seriously??? Management can't figure out a way to rotate staff through lunch breaks so the pharmacy can stay open 24/7 as advertised. That really is false advertising. It should say open 23/7. I know CVS is a big enough chain that my opinion won't matter. They are so big and their customer base is too lazy to seek out better options so CVS will simply remain another terrible cog in the whole corrupt healthcare industry. I will just quietly go back to Big Y Pharmacy where all the pharmacists are friendly, caring, know me by name and are familiar with my prescription history. Extremely poor service. Especially at the pharmacy. The pharmacy has so rapidly gone down hill in the past 2 years. It started before COVID not because of COVID. Prescriptions are not available when I am told they will be. The staff are just so nasty. I live near this store so I shop here frequently. I liked the coupons I got for my numerous purchases at CVS but now they have added numerous conditions so I am not finding I use them. I got my booster at Walgreens (after my CVS appointment was not available when I got there). At least the people at the Walgreens pharmacy are very nice and very professional. read more

Would it kill you to hire more pharmacy staff? And put someone more equipped at the drive thru???

This is the worst store I have to dealt with, to me it is a pure sign of profits over customer service. You wait in lines at the front of the store and the pharmacy. Outside in the drive thru, they make you wait very long, when you get to the window they disappear making you wait longer. CVS to me here means Can't Value Service. read more

I have been a loyal customer for 11 years. I have a laundry list of medications. 3 of them are immune depressants necessary to live. No real complaint there actually very good. However, I made an appointment in person for my wife and I. We took the afternoon from work, showed up and was told unless I made it through the website there is no appointmen. B.S. I made it in person so I wouldn't screw it up. I will never go to CVS for any medical procedures. Of course then I find out that they gave the wrong vaccine to a child. read more

I have started shopping at CVS much more recently, and actually taking advantage of their fabulous deals every week. Nearly every week there are multiple free items or moneymakers with various coupons or ExtraCare rewards. Overall, the Walpole CVS store is one of my favorite stores to go to because they nearly always have everything I need. Typically, on Sundays (when sales start) I go to Trader Joe's to stock up for the week as well as CVS, but nearly every trip, the Needham CVS doesn't have all the things I need to purchase in stock. So, when I make my trip to Stop&Shop (on this street) I stop at CVS typically as well. This location is clean, broad-spread and has an amazing selection ever since the renovation. Tons of parking and again, nearly everything I'm looking for all the time. Staff are friendly (Brad the manager is especially awesome), and they always "make it right" if there is any issue regarding anything with my account, rewards or coupons. I've also noticed that the prices are much less than some other CVS stores that I frequent, which is also beneficial for all :) In general, this is my preferred of the CVS stores in the area that are convenient to some of my errands. 5 stars. This CVS has some of THE NICEST employees around! I stopped the store manager yesterday, and as I said, there are some "not so great CVS stores", but he has some really great employees. I am not in the area all that often, but when I am, I am sure to do my shopping at this location because they will always have what I need, haven't been out of anything on sale, have lots of parking (being a City girl, I am just impressed by parking, I suppose) and employees are always asking if I have found everything I need, etc. Awesome CVS! read more

This pharmacy is terrible. Got a message my prescription was ready, went to pick it up and they told me it would be ready in 5-10 minutes. I came back in a half hour and it was still not ready. The cashier told me "I don't know who told you it would be ready." I pointed to the pharmacist that did and she said "well she's over there" as if that had anything to do with anything. The cashier proceeded to say "I'm going to help the next customer now." And I still don't have my medication. read more

Worst customer service. The older man who worked there at 11 pm on 10/25 was incredibly rude. I printed my coupons and showed him my 40% off coupon and he said oh not showing up on your card so you can't use it. I told him I had just printed them in the store and he said doesn't matter nothing I can do for you. I said well maybe your system is not up to date and he said nothing I can do. Which is wrong because I had this issue before at another Cvs and the associate was very helpful and solved my issue. I think this store needs to do a little training on customer service and teach associates how to properly solve an issue instead of saying tough luck nothing I can do. read more

Absolutely worst customer service from a young clerk who appeared to be off duty. Said I had to call mail in script company bc we were out of meds - when I had talked to said company hour before. The 60 day supply would not arrive in time & I had a 30 day script from the doc to tide us over. Said sorry can't help have no way of contacting script company. I made the call stayed & tried to hand him the phone or get him to complete his own call to get approval. Flat out refused. We asked to speak to the pharmacist who eventually did speak to express scripts and got us approval for the 5 day supply we needed. In short it took some frustration, phone calls and determinationI to get what should have been customer services job(cvs). I would not bother going there again. They are grumpy and not helpful. Mind you this was at 9:00 pm, not even after work rush. read more

The worst place to ever depend on for medications to be ready !!!! They'll call you and say it's ready and you'll get there and it's not ( it's happened even when I've waited for 2 days ) and even better if there's a issue with your script ( ex : getting a hold of your doctor etc etc ) they don't call and tell you . So when you go to pick up a time sensitive script on a weekend you're screwed . No thanks I'll drive the extra 20 min and go to Walgreens in the next town read more

I switched to filling my scripts at this CVS over the Norwood one in my town because they are far more communicative, caring, and customer focused at Walpole. When some of my scripts are extremely important, communication of delays and problems is important. When Norwood failed me multiple times, Walpole came through for me. read more

I recently shopped at the CVS on Main Street in Walpole Massachusetts. As I was leaving the store I saw a display of toilet paper. There were four rolls per package. I was offended at the price they were charging. $12.49 per four pack. I'm not sure if you realize this or not but there is no longer a shortage on toilet paper. There's no need to gouge people anymore not that you should've been gouging them in the first place. The grocery store around the corner sells them for a dollar a roll. Management Should be ashamed of themselves. I will never shop at CVS pharmacy again. Ever read more

Called in 5 prescriptions and said I would pick them up at 4pm. Got there at 4pm and they said it would another hour. Well I went back and got them and when I got home I found out they charged me $75 for a 3 month supply and only got a one month supply. When ever I order more than one refill they cannot get it right. Short on meds. Or they don't tell you it wasn't filled. I think I'm going back to Rite Aid. read more

Getting sick because of the stench of customers who don't bathe (NOT CVS's fault), but what should have been a two-minute transaction has stretched into two hours. Wouldn't you know they screwed up again. My script was filled in NORWOOD where in the 30+ years I've been using the Walpole pharmacy I have never used the Norwood pharmacy. read more

I had a 25% off coupon from being a member, it came into my email box so I simply transferred it to my account with the simply click of a button on my email. I highly recommend everyone becoming a CVS member, all you need is a phone number and an email address. They'll email you regular coupons and I don't think I get spam at all. For this trip I was on a goal to find some nail clippers, instead, I also found a bunch of chocolate covered candies, iced tea, a Father's day card, nail art pen, pill holder, etc. I think I spent at least 30 minutes in the store just walking around. There's something for everyone! They have a pharmacy that was fairly busy in the afternoon at 6pm, if you need a prescription I would recommend that you come by earlier. read more

This has to be one of the slowest CVS pharmacies! There is always a line no matter what time of the day it is!

I've been using this pharmacy for two years now and been happy with the service. The last six months however have been absolutely atrocious. I am a type 1 diabetic and therefore need my prescriptions in order to keep myself alive. Every single prescription I've had filled has taken at least three times as long to be filled (days not hours). When I call (and I always need to call) I am put on hold for an hour or longer. I have spoken to the manager who told me that they were short staffed and I should go somewhere else. Because this pharmacy is the only 24 hour pharmacy in the vicinity I have been keeping my prescriptions here but today was the last straw. The pharmacists are rude and unhelpful and make me feel terrible for being upset that my scripts aren't ready when they told me they would be ready. The prescription I needed today was supposed to be ready in 2 hours and instead I got a weird text saying it wouldn't be ready for two weeks. When I called to clarify I was out on hold for another hour. Monday I will be having all my prescriptions moved to Walpole Pharmacy I'm done. read more

As far as CVS goes this one is pretty good. Usually clean and the staff is friendly up front. The lines get crazy pretty fast but that's like everywhere else. I love the pharmacy drive thru and usually don't have to wait. read more

I am a former customer of Betro Pharmacy and just had my first experience of CVS Pharmacy too busy and not the service I am use to. I tried to only associate myself with former Betro employees and Robin treated me rudely and that is not her. In my opinion, CVS is bringing out the worst in her. I am not use to her being this bad. It saddens me to see how the Betro people are acting. I will try the drive up window as I did the first time so I don't have to come in at all. Then, if that's bad, I will go somewhere else. I cannot count the number of times they have said my prescription will be ready and it's not. I don't know if all the CVSs are this bad, but this one on Main St in Walpole has terrible customer service. I'm really considering pulling all of our prescriptions from here. read more

The best thing this CVS has going for it is it is open 24 hours a day. Occasionally there will be some great bargains, but most of the "sale" items in their flyer are cheaper at local supermarkets when they have the same items on sale. The pharmacy/pharmacists is one FRUSTRATING group to deal with. Even when I call in refills in advance they are not ready at the requested time. I had to teach one guy how to enter my insurance information (he refused to use the suffix I told him he needed to include). Be prepared to wait no matter what you do. read more

I am almost always in a rush and although I would rather not go to this store, sometimes it is the most convenient location for me. My complaint is about the cvs card requirement for items on sale. I wish CVS might think a bit more about the inconvenience of having to dig for this card in order to buy at the sale price. ALSO IT HOLDS UP THE ALREADY TOO LONG LINE. .. If you don't have your card they search by phone number which takes more time. This morning I was very sick with a cold and had a splitting headache. I was purchasing advil SUPPOSEDLY ON SALE but having not brought my wallet from the car I didn't have the card. I just wanted to get out of there and head home. She asked me for my phone # but my throat was too sore to speak. Really CVS you ARE a pharmacy. People shop there that are sick. stop making them jump through hoops to get the sale price. You place more value on collecting data to sell than you do on what is best for your customers. It shows. read more
