Oh wow, a friend and I went to this new buffet located at the Sun Valley Mall in Concord and the food was actually delicious. It is called Fusion Buffet and they are just in front of Penny's. I have to say the seafood dishes were fabulous. I'm enjoyed the oysters and I went back two additional times just for the oysters, eating 2 each time, it is my favorite shell dish. Thanks again for opening this restaurant. Coming back soon!! read more

We went to Fusion Buffet in Concord for lunch as a family. The experience was okay overall, but it didn't really stand out. The main positive is the price, which makes it a budget-friendly option. However, the food was fairly average, and the sushi in particular was just ordinary and not very fresh-tasting or impressive compared to other places. It's fine for a casual meal, but it's not a place I would go for high-quality sushi or a special dining experience. read more

The food remains fresh and delicious, the sushi station is actually good with various selections, my favorite is the Mongolian BBQ it is cooked to order, delicious and definitely the best tasting in the area. The service is limited given it's a buffet but friendly and the ambiance is loud, busy and often crowded to take notice of the modern surroundings but good for groups of various size. read more

The ambience of the restaurant was really appealing, which drew the attention of myself and my friends when we first walked by the buffet a week ago. We decided to give this place a try thinking it'll meet our initial expectations given it's a buffet... and boy were we very wrong. Some of the food was good like the sushi rolls and cheese wontons, which honestly were the best options available. Then we tried some of the main entrees like the mushroom and kung pao chicken in addition to the coconut shrimp, but none of them had barely any taste nor texture to them. What's even worse, and I don't know why it was a good idea to try them... we decided to try out their pizza which was no more than a mere cheap copy of a Chuck E Cheese pizza and the edamame which was really cold and had an odd taste to them, making one of my friends feeling nauseous afterwards. We appreciated the service of the bussers whom took our plates whenever we were done with each round, which honestly was the highlight of the night. I don't really recommend this buffet, and there are similar yet better buffets with affordable rates that are better to go to for anyone with a big appetite. read more

Fusion buffet was an interesting experience. Very crowded and noisy. Food good but we were asked to give our table at exactly 90 minutes. I get it but we were group of seniors that don't do anything fast particularly eat. It was fine we were stuffed with crab shrimp oysters muscles and other fish. It was a good time! I'd go back for sure and seniors get 10% discounts! read more

Not our first time in ths place. It's my parents' new favorite buffet so we don't really mind the 45 mins. drive every time. Food is good, however, service for me is crucial. It starts with the front people to make a good impression. Table attendants have been great and i could easily give them 5 stars. Unfortunately tonight is different. This one lady in the front just ruined everything i think her name is Sarai?. She is unpleasant, strict and rude! I'm out of words and apetite read more

This isn't chez panisse or the bacchanal buffet. You're here for a solid $30 buffet. Came here for Sunday lunch. Managed to miss the huge rush at 1PM. The premises and corridors can get packed. They really pack in the tables and keep the corridors narrow. With that said, you are getting high turnover on the food to keep everything fresh. Fried wings were good. Crab legs and chocolate cake were surprisingly flavorless. Was surprised that they enforced the 90 min time limit when they were winding for lunch service. Granted they might have been starting to kick people out so they could turn over for dinner service. $30 (~$40 out the door with tax and tip) was a bit steep for lunch. Would have been better at the $30-35 out the door price point. With that said, the crowd levels justify the price. Also bring a bottle of water for the car. You'll feel the salt after the meal. read more

Absolutely love this spot. I was a little skeptical about trying it at first because some buffets tend to let me down but not this one! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had seafood boil, sashimi, sushi rolls, Chinese food, etc. The best thing is that EVERYTHING I've had, was really good! At buffets, there tends to be only a few things that I like out of all the options. But all the food is genuinely so good. It's so good that my boyfriend and I were big backs and we went 2 days in a row LOL. Definitely worth it!! Would def recommend trying it. read more

It is actually 3 1/2 stars, points taking out on the followings: Crowded seating, slow on clearing our used plates, restroom was messy. It was a lunch visit for the four of us, on Saturday afternoon, the price was $29.99 for the whole day dinner menu. The entrance and the interior decoration was impressive, looked glamorous and expensive. with the giant metalic Bearbrick collection stood at the front entrance, and the golden designer logos behind the front desk, the glass lighting fixtures. The owners of these all you can eat buffet restaurants throughout the states are willing to make the restaurants look more elegant and beautiful. Don't expect premium quality with the price under $30, but the quality of the seafood, the sashimi was exceptional, however some of the steamed oysters on the half shells we had were a bit spoiled which we could taste it. Those beef ribs were quite popular, I saw quick replenishment on those. Desserts selections were average, but they had ice cream and chocolate fountain. The one issue I had would be the ice cream was self-service, which means adults and children who could reach in could scoop the ice cream on their own. I could see when people lean over to scoop out the ice cream when they were talking over, and kid's hands might be dirty... the sanitation concern, I wish this part would be a staff to scoop the ice cream for everyone. Overall, I still would bring someone else who haven't been to this buffet to have dinner, I think it's good value, and to see the giant Bearbrick collection. read more

Food was yummy and the place is super cute. The only thing I didnt like is you have to buy your "Adult" beverages at the front before sitting down. Also weird way of charging for kids ... By height. For the pricey buffet drink service should be offered at the table. read more

Fusion Buffet - Buffets Near Me - Concord, California

This Fusion Buffet offers a lot of good options, plenty to choose from and something for everyone. That said, it can feel a bit overwhelming. It gets really busy, and navigating through the crowd to get your food can be tough. Still, if you don't mind the hustle, the variety makes it worth a visit. read more

As some don't know, A "bussing area" in a restaurant is a designated zone where staff temporarily store dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware before they are taken to the dishwashing area. After me and my family was seated on an area, I've noticed Garbages, high chairs behind and next to us.. where will be eating our food that we paid. I look around and i saw some empty seats and tables, so i ask why? Why here? I look at ourselves.. our clothes are clean, we don't smell, we're not sick, but why?. So I decided to talk to a manager and ask if they can move the garbages away where people eat, respond was we can't it's a bussing area, in a calming manner i ask.. with costumers listening, so why are you putting a paying costumers next to a bussing area where there are garbages and whatever is flying there?.. i was expecting manager will say.. will move you to another table.., but instead manager ask... would you like to be seated somewhere? with attitude with it... my response was in a nice way with a smile, Yes Pls thank you i really appreciate that... but my mind was saying Yes Stupid common sense. Then while we're eating I've noticed there was no server who will take some special drinks like alcohol, so i went to the front desk how i can buy some alcohol drinks, front desk said.. oh you should buy it here at the front desk.. oh wow we should know that?.. good service is this.. inform your costumers before letting them seat. Poor service overall. read more

Fusion Buffet - My favorite thing about this place is the chocolate fondue! - Buffets Near Me - Concord, California

Prices are good, I went during the week around 2PM. Food was good, although I felt like a little more salt was needed. And I never add salt to any of my food. We were promptly seated. There were quite a few options although my friend wasn't as impressed and said other buffets have more options available. The place was clean, and our plates were picked up right after we emptied them. I really liked the options, there were a lot of seafood dishes. I didn't feel rushed or anything. read more

This place could improve. -plates in an odd spot and full of water, not very sanitary. -plastic dipping cups and plastic beer cups. -a lot of the same stuff just cooked differently and very greasy. Lots to choose from. -way to cramped for the buffet areas -I woke up in middle of night sick to stomach and nauseated. It's a no for me. read more

Overly priced. Food is so-so. Too crowded and they need more dessert options. They need to add the almond cookies! Those are a staple for Asian buffets! Do better Fusion! read more

i came back to try out dinner and some of the foods had improved like the baked oyster, escargot, crabs and mongolian bbq. I told the cook to flavor it up and it turn out good. I have to mention that sushi and sashimi station needs improvement but you can't expect much. Also, there was lack of dimsum here and not much soup selection other than that good job on improving. read more

Food was amazing. It was different from other buffet places we've been. Very flavorful especially the noodles that they cooked in front of you. Seafoods and Dimsum were all delicious. Service was excellent. All were very respectful. And though everyone was busy, they still managed and helped with a smile. They kept asking if we were okay and kept removing our used plates left on one side of the table. It was busy when we came. I think we would of enjoyed our visit more if it wasn't that busy and crowded. read more

We went for lunch for the 3rd time this Saturday. We were impressed by the bill of fare, and we were able to sample a variety of foods that included seafood, sushi, Yakatori, Teppanyaki fresh fruit and dessert. It was extremely crowded and we even and stood outside before it opened. The staff was pleasant; however, the patrons were illmannered & they violated social mores due to being culturally uninitiated. I would have like to have seen disposable gloves to use for the tongs because too many people touch those tongs. A vast majority of people behaved as though they were starving to death, routinely cutting in line and jostling into me; this was the norm for nearly everyone I passed. I could not locate one of the persons that would bus tables when we left, so I left the gratuity with what appeared to be a hostess. Whom do we tip? The hostess, the lady that busses tables or the teppanyaki man? Certainly not all. Even though it is a buffet, and we could see that a large % of the customers do not tip, we always tip but this makes it a little confusing. I wish it were like some of the restaurants like in Japan where there are booths, and the booths have doors that you close so you do not have to look at or hear other customers. If you had that, I would actually pay a premium for that experience. We will be back next week. read more

Went at 3:30pm, it was dinner price already. Many seafood options. However, the shrimp and crab meats were mushy- so I thought it was disappointing. Overall, enjoyed. New buffet at Sun Valley Mall on the outside. Decent food. Good garlic shrimp and big whole fried shrimp. Calamari was tender I went for lunch $20.99 plus got seniors discount. Drinks included. Sushi was fresh but the rice was bland. Nice Hibachi. Fresh cooked food of your choice. Selection of hot food was limited, but what they had was good. Lots of families there. Went here with my kids. Now my children are tall but they are 10 and 7. I was told that because my son is 5'1" he will be charged as an adult. Stopped by for lunch on a weekend. Got seated super quick. Staff was friendly and the selection was decent for the price. The drink station gets kinda crowded and I don't like how guests scoop their own ice cream but other than that the food was pretty good. We focused on the steamed oysters, baked mussels and hot foods. The sushi station was pretty empty every time I walked by. There's a chocolate fountain next to the drink station you might miss since it's kind of tucked away. Overall I would say slightly above average experience for a buffet. Their decor was pretty and the place was very large but we were seated away in a far corner which I preferred. read more

Honestly didn't know about this place until Facebook starting sending out ads about this place and after a few weeks I had a chance to drive out and try this place out. But, overall a solid 4 out of 5 imo. Situated in the old Lucille's restaurant, I was sort of surprised on how busy it was for a Monday afternoon. The wait wasn't that long and it's a nice bonus filling out the kiosk and have them txt you, when you are ready to be seated. I'll admit I was thrown a tad off when they asked to pay for your meal first and this imo is a rarity but I can see people dining and dashing or just bogging down the entrance with paying on your way out. There was a decent amount of seating, but imo it can be some tight squeezes in between some of the walkways. The selection was very nice and the highlight was the Mongolian bbq, the selection here can keep you busy for awhiles. Next would be the sushi and the turnaround was very quick, so it not being fresh you don't have to worry about this currently. The hot stations had your usual rice and noodles dishes, salt and pepper shrimp, fried chicken wings, etc. in regards to this area, it's good to average from what I've tasted and eaten, but I'll admit that a lot of it just was a tad bland. I do hope, that they start up there ramen/udon station soon or eventually because that looked promising. But, I do hope to stop by off and on to see what other foods that they offer and hope for their prosperity seeing it's in a prime spot that once had tomi's. read more

So disappointed by this restaurant. They do their kids pricing based on size of the kid rather than age. We are always trying to teach acceptance and body positivity. They generously allowed my 10 year old niece to pay the teen price which is the same as the adult price. Asked to talk to a manager and was told it was based on size. My niece is tall but obviously a kid. Please don't encourage this hateful policy read more

There was nothing exceptional, but there was nothing that was poor, either. The sushi was very fresh, and the hot and sour soup was very tasty. Wife had the clam chowder and while flavorful, it was pretty thin without much body. The highlight to me was the Mongolian grill.
