I've been here twice and the blonde lady at the front desk (whose name I asked but unfortunately forgot) has checked my son and I in each time and was extremely professional and kind. She's wonderful. Nathan was also a huge stand-out for us. I have a heart condition and can't jump the whole time with my son- Nathan checked in on me multiple times with a very positive attitude to make sure I was okay and played with my son whenever I was unable to. Took the family to Funbox this weekend and my son's reaction was priceless. The moment we walked in, his eyes lit up like he just discovered a whole new world. Slides everywhere, basketball hoops, giant inflatables... pure kid paradise. Watching him run from one play zone to another with the biggest smile reminded me how simple joy can be. Tip for thought: If you're planning to go, Reserve your time online, but when you get inside you'll still need to sign a waiver and buy their special grip socks. Save those socks for next time so you don't have to buy another pair.! Once you enter there's a bunch of tables and chairs where families take off their shoes and get ready before jumping in. They also have a smaller play area for kids 5 and under, which is perfect if you have little ones. Our reservation was 90 minutes, but honestly the kids were happily worn out after about an hour. Went in their second weekend with my 9 year old. We had a total blast. Nice staff, totally fun vibe. I get others who had younger younger kids there and worrying the could get trampled. When we went (about 10:30 on Sunday, it was busy but not hectic, so all I saw were happy kids and parents. The main area is huge, so if you are a nervous parent (or have a runner) you might be stressed because it's easy to lose sight of them. But I love there is only one way in and out, so when I weren't in there with him, I wasn't worried about him sneaking out. read more

We enjoyed Funnox the first time we attended on opening day. It was really crowded and as the day went on it was really loud. I couldnt help but notice that the place appears to have been very quickly put together. The wallpaper along the walls has bubbles underneath and the edges aren't coming together. The tables still have the plastic wrap partially ripped off on the feet. The floors also look like wallpaper was put down. It seems they got this place up and running very quick. That being said the second time we came they were very strict about us entering. We paid from 11-1230 and got there before, but they said we couldn't get in until 11, or if we wanted to go in now, we would get a different wrist band that would essentially shorten our total time to 75 minutes instead of the purchased 90. I feel like SkyZone is way better when it comes to this. Moving on, we had to leave and walk back 10 minutes later before we could go in. While I get it, I kind of feel a little flexibility makes sense. Also, they called out 6 minutes early for my childrens colored band. They said "your time is up" instead of "You have 6 minutes left". The rigidity is really not my thing. That being said, my children do love it and they are having special pricing right now to enter, as well as special birthday pricing. They do not have food. They have a water fountain and a vending machine, but nothing else. I also asked about annual memberships and shockingly they do not have them. She said they will offer 6 visits at a 25% discount each, which brings it to $89. I think they will have a problem staying open not offering annual or at least monthly memberships. read more

I saw this place on instagram and thought to try it out despite the negative reviews. We came on a Saturday around 1pm and there was no line at all. Parking was easy and free. Price was $22 for 90 minutes which is pretty good. They have an area with tables and chairs where parents can relax while the kids jump away! There is no cafeteria onsite so plan accordingly for snacks. We saw the area for birthday parties and it looks like a great option. Kids had a blast! read more

A friend told me about this new indoor inflatable playground opening up in Escondido and we decided to try it out. Overall it was a fun experience. It was crazy packed because they just opened up. You enter the inflatable zone and there's various characters, hide out spots, jumping areas, and a climbing/slide area in the back. Anyone can jump but must have a paid admission ticket. Kids 5 years and under must have a paid adult accompanying them. Each admission includes 90 mins of jumping time. They have a filtered water station in front of the restrooms which is nice because the kids were definitely thirsty running around. There's a lot of tables and chairs set up for parents to hang out. I recommend you bring some snacks and drinks as there is no cafe or food service inside. The reason for 3 stars: - they do not have rolling timed entries, just 90 min blocks (11am, 1230, 2, 330, etc) which sucks if there's a long line and you check in past your designed time, your time gets prematurely cut down. - they need to have more workers supervising the kids inside the inflatable. There was a lot of kids coming out crying, saying someone hit or pushed them, or someone got jumped on. Having kids 6 and up in the same area is a wide age range. - the area for the little ones (5 and under) was really small - they are running a promotion for $4 admission (plus a mandatory $4 sock fee) the first 10 days they are open. Definitely worth the $8 fee but not sure I would come here on a regular basis for $22 per kid plus a sock fee which gets pricey if you have multiple kids. Maybe consider a discount for parents with 2 or more kids? read more

I was excited this place opened but not sure if I want to take my son back here. My son is 3 so constantly watching him. There were so many people and kids jumping around like crazy. I saw a kid smaller than my son jump off from a high place! It's not safe with little jumping especially with big kids and adults jumping around. People could easily get hurt. These indoor play areas are cool and all but it gets hot with hundreds of people inside. Limit the people! It's safer with less people inside. Not the first time I've been in an indoor play facility where I felt there was no air. I brought our own grippy socks. I didn't want to buy. But the guy said for liability issues, we had to buy the fun box brand. I don't like I have a bunch of socks from these different play areas. They are ugly and a waste of money. Overall, my baby had a fun time. When the price goes up then maybe there will be less people going. read more

I love any new playgrounds but Fun Box is sorely lacking on regulations and oversight. We came during opening weekend and it was chaos with so many adults and kids inside the jumpy. It's literally one, giant jumpy with only one way in and people of all ages and sizes bouncing in the same area. I echo other reviewers who say it's dangerous to pair adults with elementary-aged children in a jumpy - especially when it's about 30-40 adults in there! It feels like they need to be more strict with how many people go into the jumpy at once and separate areas by age. I also witnessed a male adult snap at a few children inside the jumpy. I told employees but the man was still inside the jumpy scaring kids. Maybe the chaos will settle over time - for now, I'd be careful letting my little ones play here unless you come during totally odd hours when it isn't busy. On the positive side, I will say the employees were efficient during the check-in process. read more

Okay! I've been waiting to bring my 2 year old here and we had a BLAST! It was opening day, so yes, lots of kids and a little chaos (totally expected when you go right at open on day one ). But beyond that, the atmosphere was amazing for kids. This is definitely the new go-to spot to bring your little ones. Escondido really needed this! The staff were great, super courteous, and intentional about making sure everyone followed the rules. I really appreciated that, especially with a 2 year old who insists on running with the big kids and doing everything they're doing. I also have to say, this is the first place I've been where the older kids were genuinely aware of the little ones and so courteous to them. That meant a lot. We will definitely be back again and again. Now we're just hoping they offer a membership soon! read more

Pros - The facility is brand new so everything was clean. Staff was nice and did their best to manage the crowd. Announcements were loud and clear. The water fountain was a nice touch. Cons - This place is a huge safety hazard, especially for little kids. I went during opening week when the deal was too good to pass up, but I'd say it was 50% over capacity in practice. Maybe not from a legal standpoint for the 7,000 sqft space, but you couldn't go 3 seconds without being bumped/jumped into or landed on. There was a 350lb parent who was having way too much fun and nearly lost her balance running through the crowded green wavy area. That was really dangerous and just made me so mad. There was literally no way around her if she fell because there were people everywhere. She could have seriously done bodily harm if she landed on someone. Another parent was trying to help her 8 year old son come down from an open structure he had climbed and they both fell onto my leg. This wasn't her fault, but there was literally nowhere else for me to step to get around her and all the other people chasing their kids. Part of the problem is the lack of visibility into the structure as a parent who does want to or need to be in the inflatable area. The other problem is that there is not nearly enough seating. This made it so that WAY TOO MANY parents were standing and running around inside the jumping area, standing or jumping - just way too many bodies. They advertise this place as something for all ages, which is fine, but it's dangerous for small kids when there's such a big mismatch in size of jumpers and it's overcrowded. But the bigger problem was that they were way overbooked. While I want businesses like this to be a smashing success, it is not at the cost of safety. I hope they don't book this many people after grand opening because it really takes away from people's enjoyment and safety. read more

We recently visited FunBox after hearing great things from friends, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. My almost seven-year-old, four-year-old, and almost two-year-old each had an amazing time. The environment is incredibly family-friendly, bright, and colorful, and I was genuinely impressed by how impeccably clean everything was. There is something for every age to enjoy, and I especially appreciated how easy it was to keep an eye on my kids due to the thoughtful layout (i.e., clear visibility throughout the space). During our visit (not opening day), everyone played nicely and the bigger kids even seemed mindful of my littlest one, which made the experience even more enjoyable. (As a pretty cautious parent, I'd recommend watching smaller kids closely as the crowd is certainly prone to differences on any given day/time of day). It's such a brilliant concept and lends itself to a child's imagination and creativity. As soon as we got home, I shared pictures with family, and my siblings bought tickets to take their kids, too (ages 10, 8, 5, 4, and 2). I checked in afterward, prompting this post as they share in this extremely positive review)! My oldest is already envisioning a future birthday party here! It was a fun spot to check out for their promo ($8. promo is showing $4 but you have to buy the mandatory grip socks. My child had a great time. Reason for 3 stars is it's not something I can imagine paying full price for. Adults are $21 and they are tricky because adult prices are for kids 6 and up. Child rate is $15 for kids 3-5. I never understand child establishments charging for the adult when paying for your child. Weird, weird place. We were rushed through the checking by obnoxious lady. As I got through she gave me a black wristband and as I was putting it on she was shewing me forward and trying to hand me somethin. Chill chica. It was my birthday and my 2 year old daughter's birthday. I also had my 4 year old and 11 year old there. I paid all this money, its way overpriced, but somewhere along the line this black wristband made me a non jumper. I couldn't go in! My 2 year old was already in, which she can't do it by hersel. My 4 year old was with my wife. I had to go in. Some weirdo was following me harassingly and trying to kick me out. Like what? Why do I even have this black wristband. If we weren't rushed with poor quality service I could've learned about it, but instead they chose to be disrespectful. Nobody in there has any problem solving ability, and are creepy. Our kids had a great time, and we enjoyed hanging out at the tables. When we walked up, it was sold out for the day, but the manager up front made an exception, which was so nice and much appreciated. I know that can't always be the case, and capacity is capacity for safety, but it was nice that it worked out. Maybe they had a couple no shows. The staff was friendly and attentive. Even for a busy Saturday I was impressed with the cleanliness. Our 11 and 12 year old had an awesome time. We barely saw them for 90 minutes! It's great to have this place in the community. We went opening week and as expected it was crowded. Since it's brand new the facility was very clean. My 2 year old had a lot of fun and he definitely enjoyed his visit. The reason for my 3 star review is that there needed to be clearer understanding of rules/waiver before coming. I signed the waiver ahead of time and no where in CLEAR writing did it state that pregnant women are not qllowed. We waited 30 minutes in line (there was only 2 employees) and right when they were about to let us in the employee looked at me and said sorry you're not allowed since you're pregnant. It would have been nice to know when I signed the waiver ahead of time that there is a super clear box you checked off that stated you're not pregnant. Who reads the 10,000 worded waiver with one little line that says pregnant people not allowed? Furthermore, I asked if I could get another adult to jump with my kid while I waited in the seating area, they said NO. That I wasn't allowed in the facility at all. I'm a grown responsible women and know if they don't want me to jump I won't, I can sit at the chairs while my partner or grandparent can go in the jumping area with my son. read more

Brought my 2yo niece to play with some other cousins. Great atmosphere walking in, immediately noticed how much care went into patron ingress so that excited kids and tired adults can check in efficiently. Fantastic mix of obstacle courses and inflatable areas. Ratio of kids to adults in the play area by my estimation was about 3-1, which I felt was adequate for providing supervision and optimal independence for the kids. As with any park there were some close calls and some head bonks but no tears or injuries this trip. Will absolutely be returning and would love to be a regular patron. read more

Adults rough housing with all these small kids - place is not cleaned periodically- no tp or papertowels in bathroom - no toilet seat covers - nobody supervising the goings on inside the jumpy - no place to secure your purses and for God sake turn on the a/c. Took five kids ages 6-15 and they all had a blast. Although I could've gone in too as an adult, I chose to just grab a table and wait. Can't really see too much from the seating area but I knew they were in there having a great time. Aside for a water break they played the entire 90 min duration and said it was plenty of time. Bring your own grippy socks if you have them, otherwise buy theirs which really aren't more than buying elsewhere. Can't comment on the birthday side but it seemed like they were having fun. i couldn't make it the day i originally planned so i read the policy online stating unscanned tickets can be used for any time any day 30 days from purchase date. i went the next day n they wouldn't let me in because it was sold out. NO WHERE IN THE POLICY DID IT EVER SAY ANYTHING ABOUT NOT LETTING YOU IN WITH UNSCANNED TICKETS IF IT WAS SOLD OUT. the only thing it states is they won't SELL tickets if sold out for that day. i wasn't trying to buy tickets if i already had some. fucken ridiculous read more
