K1 Speed is a perfect place for a bithday party or a fun night out with friends or family members. From my last visit back which was back years ago this place is completely remodeled. No more gas, all the cars are electric. No noise, no fumes. The place is clean, huge, tons of room to sit and lounge. Arcade games, large rooms for corporate events or a celebration. Food (pizza, chicken wings) and drinks for purchase are available, tons of parking.

    Awesome time!!!

Had a great experience after I really thought it wasn't going to be good. The Manager Matthew Slama made the whole experience extremely pleasurable. My kids and I had a great time and we will definitely be back. Matthew definitely needs to be recognized for his amazing ability to deescalate unhappy customers and make everyone happy. Definitely an asset to good establishment. He made it where I wasn't going to come back but now I definitely will be back. Thank you Matt

My daughter wanted us to check this out. Great spot for a few hours. Three races was $70 / per person. Each race is about 10 minutes long. Great place for a birthday party or just to hangout for a bit. They do offer a small military discount. We will come back in the future.

I kept a kit for K1. For years. NOT WORTH IT. LOL!

Here is my experience with K1 tonight. Hint, NOT GREAT. Last time, I brought a dozen or so people here. It was my wife's 35th birthday. We had fun. A lot of fun. Thank you. Great experience. So it's tonight. I want to go bowling because we have gift cards to a place in San Marcos from Costco. But my feet hurt. We wanted to go to this place near ABC Vet in San Marcos but they are closed; perhaps, permanently. Alright. Like spending a few dollars on entertainment at Grand Slam. Owner is a cool dude. But I want something bigger tonight. Some place called Joes in Oceanside, their games don't work half of the time, we have personally experienced on several nights, and they are super sticky/dirty. Wife is a clean person and doesn't like the uncleanliness there. No-go there. Dave and Busters in Oceanside or Carlsbad Mall, not sure which city, but they are great. But you kind of get sucked in when you get there. Lines for drinks. Lines for food. You end up waiting a lot trying to have fun. Not feeling that tonight I want some light entertainment before we come back home to the community spa. It's my 39th birthday. I have a little more say in what we do. We thought about the shooting range, can't remember the name, the place in San Marcos. Too much money for tonight. And we want to take my Mom next time. We'll wait for another day. Brainstorming, my brain clicks. I said, "I GOT IT!" I'm searching online for K1 hours. REALLY HATE SHOWING UP TO A PLACE THAT IS CLOSED. Hey, they are open! I told my wife she'd figure out what I was thinking before I could finish understanding if K1 was open. Saturday night, shows, open. LET'S GO! Now here is why the post is so long. I felt so clever. I kept our helmet wraps/skins or whatever from last time. I think they are $5 or something. No biggie. Cleaned them, again last time, dried, put in a bag. And my card! Still have it! AND! We were given a $5 off coupon. THIS IS GONNA' BE GREAT! [Narrator insertion - it was not great]. I WAS GRINNING when we left. My dumb little K1 kit bag was FINALLY going to pay off. We roll up. Place is open. Seems to be amply staffed with employees. Not too many people surprisingly. Good vibes. We get in line. No one acknowledges us. We wait. We get closer. Again, NO ONE IS IN LINE. My wife and I sit there waiting to, well, open our wallets. We'll pay to play! We git it! K1 is a local business and we are ok with supporting it! The employees behind the counter are busy wrapping/unpacking stuff. Can't tell. But they are definitely not concerned with our presence. No big deal. Saturday night. Go cart racing place. Not expecting special treatment. It's like a dead zone for some reason. Oh, they have a silent auction. Nice. Even joke to my wife about putting us down for the Kobe auction for my wife's brother in LA. Like half joking though. We were considering it. "Are you new here?" Umm, yes. "Did you sign in?" Umm, no, where? "Go to the computer and log in." Alright. I'll do that. I'd like to pay to race but if I need to go somewhere else and fill out information to give K1 my money, ok, I can do that. I love racing. And have had great times prior. So we find the computers and we log in. We are actually happy that the information system remembered us. So we go back to the line. Note, there is no one in line this entire time. Still. We wait again. Employees are really focused on either unboxing or boxing stuff behind the counter. I can't tell. "WELL IT WILL BE AN HOUR OR MORE IF YOU WANT TO RACE." I really want to use non-nice words here but I decline. So...I searched the hours before coming. To make sure. Don't wanna' be the idiot showing up to a closed place. I walked in and checked. I was told to register to race. Cool. Kind of felt like we were being herded, but sure, businesses need those privacy policies in place for insurance. I get it. Did that. Got back in line. Do I clock in at this point? AN HOUR? WHY DIDN'T THE WEBSITE SAY THIS. WHY WERE WE NOT TOLD THIS BEOFORE SIGNING IN? An hour or more. No guarantee either. Oh man, words, would like to use some. There were about thirty go carts. EMPTY. Small line. Probably like, twelve customers there. Maybe twelve employees? I assume the business owner(s) is reading this. You can find me by my name and look at the time stamp in your logs. I'm trying to objective, but you can look at the the video and determine for yourself. I hope the silent auction benefited something. But next time, K1, when you rent your place out, let the people know before we waste our, as an adult, precious birthday time. I got dibs to go here and you burned me. I'm glad business development/event planning booked that event. But put it on your website next time. Let us know when we walk in. Don't try to hide it. But for fun words, don't have open hours on Google, don't ask me to get out of line, when there is no one, go do a task, then come back, and then make me figure out that you ARE RENTED OUT.

Do you guys allow outside food?

Hi, Jane! Thanks for asking first - no, we do not allow outside food, however we do have a Paddock Lounge café inside our place that sells food and beverages. See you at the track!

What is the youngest age that is allowed to race?

Hi, Ang! We don't have age restrictions at K1 Speed, only height. Our youngest drivers will need to meet the height requirements of our Junior Karts: at least 48" (4') tall and can safely reach/operate the pedals and steering wheel. Typically this…

How long are the races? If I come as a walk-in, how much time should I expect to be able to be on the racetrack?

Is better to do the 1x14 or the 3x14 never been here before?

You get a better bang for your buck whenever you purchase the three race package vs a single race. Plus, if you don't use all three in one day, they never expire! You can use them at any of their locations too! So I would go with the three race…

Rides: a variety from the calmer ones (riding in a jeep taking pictures of Lego dinos) to the more thrilling ones (coaster! Including the dino coaster for the smaller kids!). Lots to do! Attractions: lots of opportunities to build Legos and seeing them come to life! Ferrari build was a hit! Water park: the park was way bigger than I expected. It has multiple pools, multiple splash pads, multiple playgrounds with water features, a giant wave pool and a thrilling log ride, and more! You have to bring your own towels. Lockers are pricey. Food was hectic and a mess but there were plenty of food stalls and options. You could definitely spend many hours just at the water park. Aquarium: it's tiny but nice to be out of the sun, having a bit more calm. Good variety of sea creatures. A hit with the kiddos. Bathrooms: they were always very clean! Complaints: all the soda refill stations were out of ice by mid day and no one ever refilled them. And multiple machines were out of sodas at the same time. They need to refill these machines much more often. Food in the UFO food hall took forever. Favorite attractions / rides in order: 1 driving school 2 dragon rollercoaster 3 Ferrari build 4 ace cargo 5 emmet's flight (nice and cool indoor)

We spent three days at LEGOLAND, Thursday through Saturday, and had a great family trip. Without…read morequestion, the highlight was the VIP Tour on our second day with Renate. VIP Tour with Renate Renate was simply amazing. From the moment we met her, we felt like we had known her for years. She has such a warm personality, and her way with children made the experience that much better. She was incredibly sweet and patient with both of our kids and made them feel special throughout the tour. One of the coolest parts was learning how LEGO pieces are made and seeing the different stages of the process. The room we visited was filled with so many little LEGO treasures that our kids were almost overloaded trying to take everything in! We also left with lots of fun little trinkets and souvenirs. The VIP Tour made an already great LEGOLAND trip so much more memorable. If you're considering it, I highly recommend booking it--you won't regret it. And if you get Renate as your guide, even better! Three Days at LEGOLAND Thursday's lines were manageable, but the park became increasingly crowded through Saturday. Definitely download the LEGOLAND app before your visit. You can create a list of attractions, see where everything is located, check showtimes, and monitor wait times. We averaged around 12,000-15,000 steps a day, so planning your route helps! Treat the app's wait times as a guide, not gospel. The new Galaxy coaster showed a 60-minute wait, but we happened to walk by when the line was short and got on in about 25 minutes. Other times, supposedly short waits were actually longer. One-Shot Fast Pass Tip We technically never used a Fast Pass. I purchased one because the app showed a 45-minute wait, but when we arrived there was basically no line. Thankfully, I hadn't scanned the pass and had taken a screenshot of the posted wait. Guest Services was very understanding and refunded it. My advice: if you're considering a one-shot Fast Pass, go to the ride first and look at the actual line. If it's long, buy the pass from your phone then. Don't purchase it in advance solely based on the app. LEGOLAND Castle Hotel We stayed at the Castle Hotel. The rooms are definitely small, but this trip was for the kiddos and they loved it. There are lots of fun touches. You can text the hotel for extra LEGO bricks for the kids to play with. If it's their birthday, they'll put a cool birthday banner outside the room that you can keep. There's also a treasure hunt around the hotel with four questions. Complete it and the kids get the combination to a locked treasure box in the room with a small prize. If you stay multiple nights, you can receive up to two prizes. The playground and pool were awesome too. LEGOLAND closes relatively early--7 p.m. on weekdays and 8 p.m. on weekends during our visit--so having a playground, movies, and staff entertainment afterward was a big plus. Also check out the other LEGOLAND Hotel. It has a really cool indoor pirate ship play area that the kids enjoyed. Overall We had a fantastic three days. Staying at the hotel added to the experience, but the VIP Tour really took the trip to another level. The biggest shout-out goes to Renate. Our kids had an incredible time with her, and so did we. Years from now, when we talk about this LEGOLAND trip, I have a feeling our VIP experience with Renate will be one of the things we remember most. Thank you, Renate, for making our family trip that much more special!

You get mini golf, lazer tag, go carts, bumper boats, arcade, batting cages and a sunburn. And maybe hand foot mouth. Can we PLEASE get an out door bathroom and places to wash hands?! I really think there should be a family pass, but it's $50/person for unlimited activities which is pretty pricy, but I guess it's better than an hour in an escape room. Or, in our case, we chose to wrap up the summer fun with something simple, nice, and close to home--so we headed to The Wave Waterpark in Vista. This local staple has been around since before I can remember, and returning as an adult brings back a wave of nostalgia. We walked right in without any hassle, and the restrooms and showers near the entrance were fairly clean and convenient. We reserved a private cabana, which I highly recommend for a cool, hassle-free home base during a long day in the sun. There are four water slides and all of them are a blast, featuring clear intensity ratings on the signage so you know what you're getting into before heading up. My whole family loved every slide, though surprisingly, my son said his absolute favorite spot was simply splashing around in the main pool. While slide wait times were smooth and efficient, the line to snag a free single tube for the lazy river can get jammed. We rented a double tube and a single tube directly, which saved us a ton of extra waiting. Standard theme park fare like pizza and nachos are available, but the real winning treats to beat the heat were the Dippin' Dots and root beer floats. Overall, it's a fantastic, family-friendly spot to cool down and pack in some quick summer fun. Planning a trip to the wave? DM us @advntrbums or @advntrbums_mb to find out which cabana locations give you the best shade and prime view of the park.

We have been coming to this water park the whole summer and it has been an amazing experience. If you come early, there are plenty of umbrellas and chairs to choose from. The water is usually warm and we usually battle with our kids cause they never want to go home. Our favorite part is the wave pool where you get to enjoy and relax on a wavy pool while laughing at your kids getting slapped by the wave near the shore. They're the ones who like being tossed around by the wave. We also like the water pad where the water squirts or creates multiple water arcs, and kids just run around and get wet. This is the place where parents can just sit or lay under umbrellas while watching their kids. We rented a cabana once when we had family guests from Texas. There was a breastfeeding baby so we thought, a cabana would be great, and it was. the server took us to our cabana and explained everything. You really do not need to go anywhere to get food. You just text your server what you want and the server will get the food for you. We also got two free Legoland towels and a huge Legoland bag. We'll be going back as soon as it opens again for the next summer. Totally worth it.

Well it turned out that the son came out on our day but it was still cold, mid-60's. Unfortunately Chime park side was closed. Forgot when I sold this park initially to him that LEGOLAND is geared towards the younger age. As is the water park, the slides and rides are on the smaller kid age. So it should be perfect for son sons age of 5, but he has been to larger water parks and rode the big thrilling rides. So he had fun there, but he said it's bay ride slides haha. Then add on to that the wind chills and temperature. Our waterpark adventure ended pretty quickly. We did however make the rest of the day in the theme park end. By the way to go to the water park you need to also have tickets for the theme park as it's inside the theme park.

We got 3 races plus the bronze license which was about $200 per person in total. With this we got gloves and a head wrap thing to keep and you can use their helmets and jumpsuits. We were under the impression you had to wear long sleeves and pants period. BUT turns out you can either wear the long clothes (and just race like that) OR you can have short stuff on and use a jumpsuit. Thank you to the really nice patron that told us that! It is soooo hot out there and a jumpsuit over long clothes was suffocating and unbearable. We went on a Wednesday around 1130am for races starting at noon and had no real issues . All the employees were super nice and didn't give any attitude. The races were about 15-20 minutes apart. We called days ahead and were told weekends were their busiest days and you would likely be waiting over an hour in between races . No thanks. It looked very new and legit , like they hold actual racing tournaments there (I'm sure they do but we didn't ask). Very clean and the tater tots were delicioussss. We got all the information we needed at the very beginning. If anyone is like me , big doses of information go in one ear and out the other . With that being said I wish it was more beginner friendly. We were given all the information and were sent on our way. We didn't really know where to go, just kinda figured it out . Most of the help we got was from the very friendly patron mention above. Just little questions we had like "can we take our water bottle with us" or "can we leave our stuff out here?" ALSO , I am 5'9. My man is 6'3. Those carts are not meant for tall folks lol . The first race I kept getting cramps in my calf. By race 2 I was slightly more comfortable. Race 3 I didn't really notice as much anymore but just know, it is definitely and adjustment. All and all, really amazing experience. I'll give it a 4 because although the employees were nice and answered questions when we saw them, I wish we had like someone to guide us through it all being that it was our first time. At least for the first race. We will likely come back being that the license lasts a year but thank you guys for the awesome experience!

However, karts there are terribly maintained, there are only 2 fast karts in a whole row of over 15,you do not get to choose your karts, you get assigned to them.A huge issue with the karts are the seats, the karts are so recked that the seats are sideways, they are not facing the steering wheel, they are like 5-20 degrees off the right or left side.(Only like 2 karts don't have this issue)top speed of the karts are quite high, however the pick up is extremely extremely slow on most of the karts(one of the good kart is no.43) The track is quite wide, wide enough to make mistakes. However i heard they change their track often so if i remember the name right the name of the track i raced was north smth.It was a little too short but good corners.
