Everyone who works there is super friendly. I had to reschedule a couple of times, and every time I spoke to someone on the phone, they were so nice and accommodating.  On the day of our flight, Caleb was our instructor. Both Caleb and the wind operator guy were awesome. Caleb spent a lot of time with my nephew, teaching him how to spin, etc. Afterwards, I had issues downloading the photos and videos. I would highly recommend if you do go pay extra for the better helmet the helmet and goggles they include with the price were awful it gave me a Severe headache. I might have enjoyed the experience if I knew this fact that the other helmets are more comfortable and not super tight on your face and head. The staff who assisted in booking and the instructor was very friendly. For family/friends who are not partaking they have a number of seating around the wind tunnel so you can enjoy the show and take some pictures! There were people of all ages and sizes and it seemed like everyone enjoyed it. They have plenty of parking outside and check-in was easy. 10/10 would recommend for a gift for someone. read more

Very cool concept that basically rally's around everything I believe in...family, Country, Freedom and adrenaline filled fun Veteran owned (former Navy SEAL) We made reservations for my 10 year olds birthday and were super excited to take him. We made reservations online and the process was very easy. The day before they sent us the waivers and we had them all filled out ready to go when we showed up. When we showed up we were totally taken care of by Christy who runs the marketing there. You could see the passion she had for this place and gave us a ton of opportunities to come back. We sat and waited until our time was up and our little guy could get his 3 minutes. The time in the tunnel was a blast. My 10 year old wanted another hour. At one point the lead instructor took him to the top of the tunnel (we paid extra for) which was super cool i highly recommend. 1/2 star docked for the 3 minutes, is seemed fairly short but what the heck do I know, lol. read more

I came here with my step sister and pops. We got the 2 for 2 deal for $104. We got a chance to fly twice. The experience was exhilarating! We both were at level 1 and there are 5 levels. You can pay $20 extra to fly high. The instructor will take you very high. We didn't do that one. We were offered a huge discount to come back. I got the 5 minute/5 sessions deal for $99 and my sister got another deal to do with her boyfriend. Overall it was a lot of fun. Great activity to do with family members. There are several locations. I don't know what has gotten into my husband, he joined my son this time at iFLY ;) I'm about to do another TANDEM SKYDIVING jump soon and my son wanted to go with me, but he is still a MINOR, he is only 14 years old. So I brought him again to the INDOOR SKY DIVING. Usually he practices a lot at the MISSION VALLEY branch LOCATION , but this time we gave this place a try the OCEANSIDE location to see if they are also good here. As far as our experience here, the staff are super Nice. My son doesn't have to watch the safety-videos anymore 'coz he already knows what to do ,he does this a lot at Mission Valley branch , but he still went coz his Daddy needs to watch the short safety-video for the do's and don'ts while inside the tunnel. As always, my son and now my husband enjoys iFLY and even better they love the HIGH FLIGHT! High Flight is done on your last flight , you and your instructor will go up a little bit more in a higher flight . The instructors here are Cool. I suggest to buy a Return Voucher, it gives you a discount for your next visit. And they also have souvenir you can purchase like shirts, hats and more . And also your Photo and Videos ( optional) are also available for purchase at the end of your flight. Dont forget to say Thank you to your instructor at the end of your flight OR TIP him / her . It is not mandatory to tip, but if you enjoy your flight and your instructor's company, reward them to show your appreciation and that you enjoyed your flight. So for BOTH LOCATIONS, MISSION VALLEY and OCEANSIDE, both are an AWESOME place to do your iFLY FLIGHT. Both have cool Staffs and instructors . Group of 4 ages 12-45. Everyone enjoyed the experience of the actual flight. Thought it was unique and cool!! Easy to book online. We struggled how to rate this business. The staff was kind bit quick interactions. We were not aware the time you book is 30 min before you really engage with anyone. You arrive a few min before your time slot, you weigh in and then wait for 1/2 hour on your own.......... Finally it's your time to get in a suit and hear a few instructions - which takes 10-15 min. Then you wait again ....... Because your time to actually fly is half hour after you get the suits. After waiting 15-20 min in your suits it's your turn!!!! Hurray. Each flight is one min. Yes just 60 seconds. it's now been over an hour after you arrived at the iFLY and you get to fly for 60 seconds. We paid extra for a higher flight. That was fun and I'm glad we did it because otherwise it would have been just being held by the instructor as we floated a few feet from the floor. Other more professional people went inbetween our group. They for sure seemed to be the priority of the place. I realize this place is expensive to build and maintain so maybe this is how it has to run? But we would not justify the extreme cost for 60 seconds of flight time and we were held a few feet from the floor. We did two flights total. read more

My boyfriend and I went to IFLY today to celebrate his 28th birthday however, after the experience, we both agreed it was an okay experience. Our appointment was at 1.00 pm but we didn't get going till around 1.20 but that wasn't such a big deal because we got to watch a party of 5 go in the tunnel before us and it was exciting and fun to watch! However, when it was our turn to get geared up, I hate to say this, I couldn't figure out if our instructor was confident or cockey. We didn't really vibe with our instructor. There were long moments where he was talking to his colleagues and my boyfriend and I were left in the background kind of waiting around for the next tid bit of information. They joked around how one of them didn't actually work there, which we knew was a joke but there was a brief moment where we actually questioned whether or not one of them actually worked there. We did not have a training session. He told us how to lean into the tunnel and then 2 hand gestures then BAM.... we were into our first 60 seconds in the tunnel. FYI to go higher up in the tunnel, maybe 20 ft or so, you have to pay extra or else you stay torso/ head height... (They DO list this on their website but it's just a dumb thing to have to pay extra for in my opinion.) We paid $220 for 4 minutes in the tunnel TOTAL! (two minutes for me, two minutes for my boyfriend, in 60 second intervals). So I went for 60s, then an instructor went for 5+ minutes which was incredible to watch. The stunts and maneuvers they do are very neat to watch but then we went back to 60s for the next person and so on and so on. I quickly realized how they can stretch 4 minutes into 45 minutes, quite crafty... Don't get me wrong, it's incredible to have 100+ winds blowing you sky high, but the customer service was too casual and the price they were asking for was too much in my opinion. However, if they lowered their price to maybe $65-75 for 5 minutes per person, that would be a fulfilling experience that I would go back for. For now, I'm content to say, "We did it once". read more

We drive past IFly 5x a week and my 13yr old made a comment he wanted to try this place out, last year. I held off of purchasing flights due to the world's health restrictions and wanted to make sure that by the time he had an opportunity- it would be w/out all the craziness of the world. Today was his day and he was extremely excited. May end up making this a reoccurring active for him to include go-Karting. Upon entry: we were immediately greeting by the 2 ladies up front. I ended buying an addition to his already purchased flight to go higher in the tube; worth it. The facility was very clean and everyone was just so friendly. No pressure to purchase anything you weren't interested in and honestly it was all just a great experience for my son who had a day off from school. read more

My Mom wanted to do this bucket list item for her 90th birthday this weekend. Her instructor was Harrison and he was so gentle with her and exuded a confidence with her that put all of her kids and grandkids and great grandkids at ease. The way he took her up (the high flight) looked like a ballet. We all are so grateful to Harrison and iFly for giving my Mom an experience she could FEEL when her vision and hearing are failing. Great Experience and the perfect Birthday gift for a 10 year old boy. I flew out from Charlotte to be with my Daughter and her family and to celebrate my Grandson Zayden's 10th birthday. Had a great weekend and we did a lot but I was looking for something special and unusual for us to do. Stayed in the Holiday Inn Express and Conference Center on Palomar Airport Rd and on my first morning there, I spotted on of those racks filled with local attraction flyers and advertisements. Most of which I expected but one stuck out as a possibility and that was for iFLY Indoor Skydiving. Picked up one of the flyers and when I had a moment alone with Amy, my Daughter, I handed it to her and asked if she and Zayden might want to try it. She thought about it and while not sure how he would react, she said let's try it. He might be reluctant at first but after he see's others doing it, he would probably enjoy it. I booked reservations for two and that was for Amy and Zayden for three flights and the third flight was a virtual reality experience simulating skydiving from 13,000 feet, BTW, I was not chicken but had hip replace surgery 6 month earlier and still healing so next time. We showed up at the appointed time and checked in with no problems. A bit of a delay in being called back to suit up but I think the delay may be on purpose to afford time for everyone to have a great experience. Everyone is outfitted in a Jumpsuit. Zayden's was Red and White and Amy's was Red and Black. Of course there where helmets in case you bumped against the side of the tunnel and on the VR run, of course you have the VR goggles. The set up is a large plexiglass tube, probably 25 feet in diameter with huge fans in the bottom producing winds of between 80 and 120 mph. At these speeds and the speeds will depend on body mass and size but is more than enough to get you airborne while in a horizontal position. Makes you thing about the hurricanes we have lately with winds of up to 140 mph. Don't worry. You have an instructor in there with you and everything is done over a wire platform. He's Vertical so the forces of levitation are much less and he's there to guide and teach you. Amy went first and she enjoyed it. Zayden went second with a bit of trepidation but was OK with it. Next time both really began to get into it and it was really fun. Third time, Amy was OK with the VR but something was wrong with Zayden's VR and he briefly panicked but I can see why. After setting out a few minutes and being offered the chance to do it again without the VR, he said he wanted to do it with the VR and it was a total sucess. This was one of the high points of the trip and something all of us look forward to doing again in the future. read more

I don't think 5 stars is enough to rate these two amazing instructors. Me and my bestfriend went into iFLY blindly and had no idea what to expect. It was a spontaneous buy and something I've always wanted to do. We had Shawn and Harrison as our Instructors. These two were INCREDIBLE. They were so sweet and kind and just had the best vibe you could possible get before doing something like this. They made us both feel so comfortable and safe. They walked us through everything step by step and were so positive. Every time we would come out of the tunnel they would high five us and complement how well we were doing. Forsure I we will be back. I definitely thought this would be a one time experience. Thank you gentleman for a life time memory!!!! Getting there: You can easily spot this location right off the freeway. There is plenty of parking near and around the building. Not sure how crowded it gets but you should be able to find spots no problem. Experience: We came here to celebrate my cousin's birthday. I was a little nervous at first because I hate flying, and I would never jump out of a plane so I didn't know what kind of experience this was going to be. Luckily, David was a super dope instructor and showed us the safety tips but also techniques that let us have fun doing so. It's about $20 per low flight, but if you want to do the high flight it cost a little more. Wanted to do an "off site" year-end meeting with my management team and Ifly oceanside was the perfect spot for that. Booking was easy and only took a few minutes and a couple of questions. The staff put us up in their main meeting room that included a huge flatscreen TV, coffee maker and fresh cold water. The space had a professional feel wile keeping with a aviation theme. The main meeting table is a glass table made from the front fan section of a jet engine. How cool is that!! After my meeting, I had booked a 30 minute block of flying in the tunnel that included personal coaching. Being a "frequent tunnel flyer" I knew my team (who has never flown in the tunnel") were in for a ride. Marco was our coach for our 30 minute block of flying. He did a outstanding job with a group of guys that haven't flown before. He was able to get them off the net and flying in no time. My team left the tunnel with huge smiles on their faces. The end result was a super successful meeting with my team. Ifly Oceanside gave me the tools to have a unique meeting experience followed up 30 minutes of fun flying! I can say with confidence that this was one of the best meetings that I have ever been too.... Wish all my meetings could be like this. read more

1 star. Garbage. 90 minute wait time. 2 minutes of "flight" but the employee would not take his hands off of me even after several requests. Paid for "high flight" so, how does that work? Arrived on time. Checked in - 3 minutes. Waited in "Failed BUDS Insecurity Lounge and Kids Pizza" - 60 minutes. (Take it or leave it, it depends on how much you like douchebags) -, got dressed - 2 minutes. Endured insecure employee tell me that if I tried to do what I EXPLICITLY PAID FOR, he was going to "kick me out". - 3 minutes Watched "training video" - 4 minutes. Waited in tunnel for rest of group to go 10 minutes. Watched 2 "members" cut into our group and fly without restraints or employees - 10 minutes. Instructor told me "all you're going to get to do is belly [something]". Confronted the business regarding the "members" that cut into our groups flight time. Demanded my money back. On our way back from our trip to Legoland and Safari Park, I decide to take my seven-year-old daughter to iFly Oceanside as a surprise, and it was a hit! From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Our instructor was particularly kind and patient with my daughter, who was excited, but a little nervous at first. He put her at ease and made sure she felt safe throughout the entire experience. My daughter loved every minute of her time in the wind tunnel. She giggled and grinned the entire time, and I have to admit, I was pretty impressed too. As a nanny, I like to try and come up with new and exciting activities for my charge. Monday was his 10th birthday, and I wanted to do something extra special for him, so I booked a 3:30 reservation for two flights at iFLY, Oceanside. His mom said that he'd been wanting to do it ever since his older brother had done it, a few months prior. I picked him up from school and told him I had a surprise for him, so we headed over. As we pulled up and he realized what it was, he squealed with joy! We must've picked the perfect time to go, as the place was empty, save for several (super friendly) employees. Jack's instructor Noah was bomb.com, and took his time explaining everything in a fun, high energy way. Before we knew it, he was up in the air! I was able to get two great videos with my phone, which I immediately sent to his parents. They both commented how happy he looked, and how he seemed to be having so much fun. He certainly did! The next day when I picked him up from school, the first words out of his mouth were "I want to go indoor skydiving again!". We booked return flights ( I hope she is our instructor again ) and I can't wait to go back. They were very conscious of Covid 19 protocols. And I hope her supervisors know they have a real asset to their business with her there. I can't say enough great things about Ifly. I highly suggest this for teenage birthday parties. $3000 per hour for entertainment is a total waste of time and money. We paid 100 for 2 minutes of fake skydiving. We were also told to arrive at 2:15 for our appointment and my daughter didn't enter the cylinder until almost 3:45. We had to wait and watch 4 adults get 2 minute rides for no less than 45 minutes and then watch our daughter get kicked out after 2 minutes. We brought the family here to celebrate my dad's birthday. And what a great experience we had! Loved our flight instructor, Luke! He was very knowledgeable and understanding of the fact that we were all new to this experience. He helped us through everything, making it light hearted the whole time. Luke was very encouraging and just overall very friendly and kind. He even let my kids wear the gear even though they decided not to fly that day.
