The ratings on Yelp say everything you need to know. There's a max weight of 230 lbs and tied up shoes are a requirement. If you have long hair, you'll need to tie that up too. Most wear athletic clothes but you can wear whatever that is comfortable for you. Just know that you'll be falling over 100 mph at 13k feet for about 40 seconds until they deploy the chute which lasts about 4 minutes. Although, the timing is dependent on your weight (heavier = faster, lighter = slower). Larry was my brother's instructor and Chris was mine. They were awesome. For me, sky diving was a meditative experience and it seems like it'd be great for those who want to meditate but don't know how to sit still. I'm glad I was finally able to jump out of a plane and feel the wondrous force of gravity. If it wasn't so expensive, I'd do it all the time.

Best Mother's day EVER!! Ian ( tandem instructor) and Shawn (photographer and hype-up man) Were just Awesome! I would do it again in a heartbeat!!! Thank you all for such a an amazing adventures.

Holy crap! Let me tell ya, I never thought for a second I would jump out of a plane but here we are. Bachelor Party Shenanigans. Skydive San Diego was about as good of a first experience as you could ask for. First off, our crew of seven was thinking we'd get separated into at least two different planes but they were able to accommodate all of us onto a single plane which was great! Each of our tandem buddies were personable and knowledgeable (my guy has been tandem jumping since '95). We started off with several instructional monologues on the ground from multiple ground crew members. Then we suited up and got the instructions again before boarding the plane. The flight up wasn't too bad considering how cramped and small the plane was. Once at jumping height, our tandem buddies walked us through every step of the way. There's just nothing like jumping out of a plane for the first time. It's surreal. And I was made very comfortable the entire process up until touching down on the ground. I'm really glad we got to experience this and will definitely love to do it again. P.S. don't expect your tandem Buddy to stick around too long after landing because they service flights back to back to back all day. They make sure you're good to go and take off to prepare for their next jump.

You have to do this! Jumped with my daughter and her Bf. Tyler was my pro for the tandem jump and he was awesome. The scenery from this location was so perfect and The whole experience is surreal. The entire staff is super nice and make you feel welcome and comfortable the first step into the registration building. Plenty of porta potties outside, clean and organized layout and lots of parking. Will be back for sure! Quick edit, Collin did the video and pics of my jump and they are amazing. So glad I went for the deluxe package; three videos, two are shortened for social media and one full length. Tons of pictures to remember this jump. Highly recommend going for the deluxe package as you will be looking at the videos and pics for years to come! Thanks again skydive San Diego!

Best experience you could ask for during your sky diving experience. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to share this experience with. Everyone was extremely professional, understanding, and fun. Definitely will come back and highly recommend this to be your sky dive place.

Our instructors. My instructor, Fernando Ochoa (far right), so amazing!

This was such an extraordinary experience! The staff and instructors were very friendly, fun and just overall helpful throughout. The environment was very welcoming and accommodating especially for my group of friends who came to support me. There was plenty of space to lounge and great view for landing which I'm thankful for since it enabled my friends to get great footage of the experience! My instructors name was Fernando Ochoa and he was truly amazing! From the moment meeting him he had such high energy and super friendly, funny, fun and very informative. It really helped my experience. I really felt the support and reassurance throughout the process which brought such comfort to me. Thank you Fernando for being there for me! Beforehand I did my research and part of it indicated that your instructor makes or breaks your experience and I am so thankful that Fernando really made my experience all the more worthwhile! He really made me comfortable. Not just for me, but also for my sister who skydived with me for the first time as I celebrated my 30th birthday; diving into the new decade! I was not disappointed! I highly recommend this place for first-timers. The staff from the front desk to the very end with assistance, to instructors, I was very impressed. Everyone was so nice and genuinely gave such care to their service. I am very happy with my experience. Especially how fast I received the video footage, 1-hour after! This was amazing, to be able to look back at this experience shortly after. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 100% recommend!

It was my first time and Fernando put my nerves at ease - it was so exciting and thrilling I would do it again and again!!!

I jumped with Aaron J and I wish I could remember my camera guys name because he was also so cool and incredible. These people are so rad and truly professionals of the craft, I highly recommend spending the money and getting the deluxe package. It was super safe and I didn't feel like I was in danger at any point.. I was so scared and they managed to chill me out and it was a life altering experience, if you're scared of heights or just an anxious person in general I highly recommend doing this. If you have the right mindset it will make you see things a little different. 10/10 will do again. Well done guys. Tip them if you can!!!!!

So much fun, accelerating, mysterious, super experience. This is something you must do at least once in your life to experience falling onto earth. You're not gonna find many experiences like this. So just do it. The staff is extremely friendly and professional and experienced.

For a minute I was terrified haha! Overall it was awesome experience!! All the staff was friendly and had a great sense of humor. Met the manager Woody, and he got my twin brother and I pumped before getting on the plane. Good times!!

Great service, clean atmosphere and super fun experience. I went here for my bday and had 4 friends come with. We were scheduled for Saturday but due to winds it was cancelled after waiting 3 hours. I was bummed but we rescheduled for the next day and it was nice because we received text messages letting us know if our time was delayed. We were able to jump the next day and it was unforgettable! We all had awesome instructors, I had Dalton and he was great! Answered app my questions and double checked to see if I was strapped right. I was nervous at first but I did it! The best part was the soaring for me! I had a little hard time breathing right but it was still amazing. The view was beautiful and perfect because it was almost sunset. I highly recommend the video package because it is actually a really great video! Something I will always have to remember this awesome experience. I highly recommend skydive San Diego! I will be returning for sure!

This place is great! (coming from a first timer) My instructor Fernando was amazing! They definitely make you feel safe, and all have great energy

Everyone was friendly, helpful, and with lots of energy, I was here for my birthday and it was an awesome crazy experience that really cannot be forgotten. My instructor was Fernando, he speaks English and Spanish, he is from Tijuana, he made sure that all my equipment was in the right conditions on the ground and also on the plane, and all my questions were answered. Everything felt very safe and I had no problems at all in the whole process. I got the Deluxe video package, Chris was the one that jumped with us, he was cool too, he was friendly, he answered all questions too, and took great videos and pictures.

Pacific Coast Skydiving personnel was so great! Rosie was always available via phone when I called about what to wear, can I have friends come and watch, can I make video changes because the songs were not right, etc and she was very professional and friendly, and just a sweet person. My tandem skydiver was Phil. He was awesome! We had a great conversation (limited due to the noise level of the plane), and he just made it a fun experience. He did allow me to pull the cords to make it the skydiving parachuted turn-- which my stomach couldn't handle. The video recording and photos were definitely worth the price. I couldn't get enough of watching the video over and over and over again! I loved it! I do recommend for those who get motion sickness easily to 1) wear sea bands and 2) take Dramamine. My husband recommends: 1) wear those silicone earplugs that you insert in your ears because the airplane is really loud and was painful for my husband who also has tinnitus in the ear. Also, the harness was tighten too much on his legs that he felt his leg nerves were in a lot of pain. Overall, I highly recommend Pacific Coast Skydiving and would do it again!

I was super excited and wasn't afraid at all but if you are scared, they'll put you at ease. I jumped with Simeon and he was fantastic. He's very funny and was cracking jokes the whole time to make you feel comfortable. The jumpers have a lot of experience too, so there's no need to feel worried or scared. ---- How it worked: - The process is arrive 30 minutes early from the booking time - Go thru the gate, they text you the code either the day before or the morning of - Park and walk up to the seating area and building where you are greeted by the staff and jumpers - You fill out liability forms and sign waivers - Then you pay the remaining amount - Next they put the harness on you and then trained on what to do when you jump - Then they film some footage of you, walk to the plane, and take off - They film bits and pieces throughout the entire process like during the walk to the plane, on the plane ride up, and on the jump down - You fly up for a few minutes maybe like 10ish minutes, maybe less? During the flight they pointed out some places like the Mexico border and some prisons, they also open up the door so you can get a better view - It's very, very loud on the plane especially when they open the door, so if possible I'd ask if they have ear plugs or if you can bring your own - Once you reach closer to the altitude, they attach onto your harness, put on the goggles, then they open the door and you jump! - They let you steer the parachute a little bit and you can do spins, but if your like me and get motion sickness I'd recommend taking some medicine before hand or skip the spins haha - On the landing, you keep your legs up until they tell you to walk/run - On the ground, they detach from you, remove the harness, then you hop into their van to drive a couple minutes back to the building area you arrived at - They compile the footage from their GoPros into a short video to preview which took a few minutes - You have the option to buy the photos and videos at the end of the jump or if you want to decide later, they say they save all the footage just in case ---- My only gripe is that the plane ride up was reallyyy loud and I have sensitive ears, they didn't give any protection like ear plugs unfortunately, so my ears were hurting a bit during the ride :( beside that everything was very quick and great ---- Other notes: - The entire process from arrival to finishing watching the videos of the jump was around an hour - They said be prepared to spend 2 hours there but I think that's if there are larger groups of jumpers, we had the 10am appointment and were the first ones there so it was really quick - In their waiting area there's a lot of tables and a ping pong table as well - There are 2 bathrooms available and a water dispenser if you're thirsty ---- Overall: A fun experience to check off the bucket list, there's no reason to be scared, great staff and jumpers, ask about ear protection tho! Shoutout to Simeon :)

I was familiar with the Torrey Pines Gliderport but didn't know that Warner Springs had an area for sailplanes/gliders. A glider is a fixed-wing aircraft that is supported in flight by the dynamic reaction of the air against its lifting surfaces, and whose free flight does not depend on an engine. Normally a sailplane relies on rising air to maintain altitude. So we made a date out of it. We booked our flight at 10AM on Saturday, September 16th. On the drive there, we were a bit apprehensive as the mountains were cloudy and it was somewhat drizzling, but after exiting and we reached Warner Springs it was bright and sunny. As we were parking, we saw a view of several sailplanes/gliders. Walking inside, we were immediately welcomed by one of their staff - Piper. Piper was a big dark brown golden retriever with flashes of golden, SUPER friendly, and immediately went on her tummy for rubs. The interior was decorated with cloths with notations of those completed their first flight of flying. There was an area for kids to play in, some bar stools around, and a seating area right next to the bathroom. They also had a cat strolling around, doing its own thing. The bathroom had a wall of interesting tidbits, so be careful if you go in! You may be in there for a while reading them. We got checked in and the kind lady (possibly Donna?) working the desk let us know that Garret will be with us in a few minutes as he was finishing up another flight. We saw a few people fly their first plane out or were taking lessons. While we were waiting, Piper kept us company with asks for pats. When it was our turn, the lady gave us a camera for Garret/his colleague (whose name I forgot) to hook on to the plane, and we walked on out to go on our 30 minute flight. For our reservation purchase, it is for the ride and also for an SD card for the memory of the flight. If you were flying just on your own, you get the opportunity of flying the sailplane under the supervision of the pilot in the front. Since there was two of us, they had to take the controls out from the back. Our pilot, Garret, helped us get into our seating space, and buckled us in, as well as giving us instructions on where we can get air during the ride. We were a cozy squeeze in the back, while Garret was in the front. His colleague helped to ensure we were towed by a plane ahead. It was an amazing view, and a bit surreal to have flown up. Garret and my husband conversed, and he asked a lot of questions. We had minor turbulence. My husband got to disconnect us from the other plane and we were gliding in the air. I did end up bringing a gift to the ground, as I had just a banana for breakfast - which was probably too acidic for the ride. Garret also checked that I was comfortable before he brought us on a fast loop dive (which I've only seen in movies), it was something else to actually experience it. We had the opportunity of flying with Garret Willat. Garret represented the US Open Class team in 2008 and 2010 and the Club Class team in 2014. And he has won 3 US National Championships. I would recommend that if you're looking to do, and you're not afraid of heights/rides, check out Sky Sailing. And for food, check out Jeremy's on a Hill! They have a reservation system and I would suggest that you get food if you had nothing left in your body if you also bought back a gift. Or just Julian after, super close!
