Very busy on a random Saturday morning! I was pretty frazzled, but the staff was very comforting, friendly, reassuring, and seeing how many people were coming in and out of this place, I was convinced that it was going to OK and more chances of survival! Haha! Noell was the smallest lady there but she took my daughter out and had the best experience as a first time skydiver! Every staff I talked to was helpful, informative and an expert! Absolutely a waste of time. These people are terrible, do not do business with them. They'll waste your time and dismiss you and try to keep your money. I'll definitely be following up with the BBB and possibly a lawyer because this is ridiculous. I've never felt more dismissed and disrespected in my life! I intended this to be an unforgettable experience for my mother and after a 2 hour drive, was told we couldn't jump an hour prior. Fast forward to Nov and they pushed my appointment an hour then instead of boarding us, we were asked to wait 3 hours before they could offer a refund! What a ridiculous and shameful policy! It's like they know they have leverage so they try to sneakily steal your money. And when I asked about reparations they just told me I could do 10$ off a media package and still tried to upsell me! I figured 15% isn't such a bad thing to ask for but they insist on trying to get me to call but they're no help: they give you the run around and they don't even have the complete information with them. 0/10 the staff is unprofessional and they refuse to acknowledge the customer. My instructor, Fred was absolutely amazing. From the second, I met him he was making me feel comfortable and cracking jokes. He reviewed the instructions with me over and over again and made sure that I was understanding of what I needed to do when we got on the plane, to when we landed. He is a sweetheart, and I highly recommend him, especially if it's your first time! Also, my friends's instructor was super rad and really enjoyed him as well. 10/10 would jump out of a plane again -- and yes, I did it on purpose. Did my first skydive in Oceanside, and from the moment I arrived, the vibe was pure thrill meets chill. The staff were so calm and cheerful -- which is impressive considering their day job involves tossing people out of planes at 13,000 feet. My tandem instructor was a legend. He kept me grounded (emotionally) while we prepared to leave the ground (literally). Clear instructions, cool as ice, and somehow got me to smile while freefalling at terminal velocity. The jump? Absolutely insane -- in the best way. Mouth went dry instantly, brain went "what are we doing?!" but my soul said "FINALLY." When that parachute opened, peace hit like a California sunset. This was a totally last-minute decision--I hadn't planned on jumping, but I took my daughter and her best friend for the experience. While we were checking in, Maria, one of the friendly staff at the front counter, noticed I wasn't planning to jump. She asked why and reassured me about the safety and how incredible the experience really is. Her confidence was contagious, and before I knew it, I decided to go for it! They had lockers to use for free to put all personal items keys purses, etc. There are various gear you can purchase such as T-shirts, hats, etc. along with snacks and drinks. After signing up, they handed me a slip with my name and some basic info. The waiting area was an outdoor patio with comfy furniture, tables, and benches--perfect for relaxing while we waited. The restroom was in a separate building, very clean, though it could use a bit more lighting. The wait wasn't long. Soon, they called out the names of those boarding the next plane. We moved to another outdoor waiting area where each tandem instructor began calling their partners. If you opted for photos and video (which I highly recommend), the videographer took a picture of your slip with their GoPro to match the footage later. My tandem instructor was Zach--and let me tell you, he was amazing. Super friendly and professional, he walked me through everything step by step. As he helped me into the harness, he explained each part of the process, always letting me know where he was placing his hands to ensure I was comfortable. We even had a casual chat about our lives, which really helped calm my nerves. He shared his skydiving experience and how many jumps he's done, which gave me even more confidence. Before boarding the plane, Zach explained exactly what to expect during the jump and how we'd be seated. He reassured me that if I forgot anything, he'd guide me through it. Throughout the prep and flight, he kept recording and made sure to include my daughter and her friend in the video--even though they had their own. He was intentional about capturing every moment, constantly snapping photos and videos of us. On the plane, Zach kept me informed about every step--when he was connecting our harnesses, adjusting straps, and what to expect next. Right before the jump, he reviewed the process again, including how I should position myself and when he'd be able to talk to me (not during free fall, but once the parachute opened). When it was time to jump, he gave me one last reassuring word: "I've got you. You're going to do great." And then--we jumped. It was absolutely incredible. The free fall was exhilarating, but surprisingly calm and smooth. Just like Zach said, everything happened exactly as he described. Once the parachute opened, he started chatting again, guiding us through gentle turns to show me the stunning views--the ocean, the hills, the city below. It was breathtaking. As we floated down, Zach explained how we'd land and even did a practice run mid-air. The actual landing? Smooth. At the end of the jump you take a short shuttle ride from the landing site to the Main building. Once inside the building the instructor will find out and hand you a certificate to show your jump information(who your instructor was, date, altitude of jump) When I finally got the photos and video, I was blown away. Zach captured every special moment perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. If you're thinking about skydiving, do it--and if you can, request Zach. One of the best experiences of my life skydiving here at GoJump Oceanside. I came with my family during Memorial Day weekend, so it was a bit packed and the traffic was pretty bad getting to the location (driving from San Bernardino), however after calling the location there was no issue with our late arrival. After arriving we needed to sign a few waivers and were asked to wait since they had fallen behind schedule due to the weather that morning. Just outside they had plenty of space to sit and watch the planes take off and view others coming down. We ended up packing our lunch and this was the perfect time to enjoy it while waiting. Eventually we were called to get harnessed and go over a few last minute things. The tandem jumpers were all very friendly and supportive with it being our first time. We opted for the video package which I would recommend to anyone who is only planning to skydive once. Our instructors had go-pros they used to document the whole experience from start to finish and the video quality was fantastic. I would highly recommend anyone looking to try skydiving to come here! read more

It was a fantastic experience, I was very nervous but the instructor JC is the best with 40 yrs of experience jumping, he was calming us and making sure we understand the instructions, even people not assigned to him were asking for info, he was a great hero, of course in a foggy day we get to wait like 2 hours in order to jump, but we did it. You get to live the experience to understand how wonderful is, the people around us were very friendly, also Rebecca the receptionist she is a charm. Prices are very affordable for a very equipped crew. The crew were taking photos and filming and at the end you can buy them, for your memories. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Skydiving has been on my bucket list for as far back as I can remember. I finally took the leap (no pun intended) and did it and have zero regrets. I got paired with Noell and Eddie and they made the experience better than expected. The activity itself is nerve wrecking, especially if you're a first time jumper - my case! Noell made sure I felt comfortable and at ease, and despite being shorter than my barely 5'2 self, she assured me that I was in good hands. Throughout the entire process she continuously checked on me and ensured I was good. Eddie, despite me being one of the last jumps of the day, brought the energy and captured some really good moments. You pay to have a camera in your face to capture the entire experience but he never made it feel like too much. And that view! You cannot beat it! It's breathtaking! This was my third experience skydiving and the first with GoJump Oceanside. I mainly went since my partner wanted to do it for his birthday (first time). It is nice that they have a Groupon you can purchase for a tandem skydive and it was relatively easy to call them and schedule. Note that weekends you will be charged an extra fee, but altogether it was a good price for the experience. As for the location, they're right off the 76 and pretty easy to find. The check in process is streamlined by checking in on iPads and signing the disclaimers, etc. Unfortunately we were a little late due to traffic so we were quickly sent to gear up to catch the next plane. I barely had time to use the restroom although it was mostly my fault for being late. I also would've liked if they had lockers to keep your stuff, instead they just had us put our stuff on the back counter. Once I went to the boarding area, I was suited up with a harness and again due to our tardiness, perhaps we missed the safety briefing/orientation since we really only received brief instructions while being fitted for our harness. I guess I was comparing it to my previous experiences where we had a sit down intro about what to expect, safety, ect. and had to wear a full on jumpsuit vs wearing your street clothes. While it wasn't such a huge deal for me since I knew what to expect, it would be good for first time jumpers and as a refresher for those who may not have done it for a while. I took it into my own hands and asked the staff a bunch of questions. Upon my fried observations, they seem to be pretty tourist oriented so their process is very efficient, making sure they get all the groups up in the air. Pretty much as soon as one group lands, the next goes and I think it was a group of 12 people who went up in the plane together. I do want to mention the instructors, both mine and my partner's were so excellent. They really brought the energy and got us pumped, taking photos and videos of us before, during and after. They patiently answered all of my questions and gave instructions on when to do what. I also got to do 2 air flips and steer the parachute and they are what really made this experience great. At the end I was pleasantly surprised to be presented with a reusable bag and hardcover book titled "2 Much Fun: 101 Reasons why tandem jumping rocks" and a signed certificate. They also included a pen, postcard, stickers and a $20 off your next skydive coupon which I thought were great parting gifts, not to mention smart marketing. On a side note, if it's your birthday you can get a free t-shirt, you may have to ask them and $20 off a video/photo package (although you may need to tell them in advance). In all, My partner and I both had a very memorable and fun time, thank you GoJump Oceanside! read more

Location- the only reason we dived here, versus their competitors. we wanted to see the ocean while we jumped, not a bunch of dirt hehehe My group and I bought Groupons which had semi confusing terms but if you call Go-Jump, they'll explain the fees and terms with you- you'll save about $50 depending on the package We were 20-30 minutes late to our appointment and super anxious about it. when we called it in, the staff were super nice, calming and told us not to worry about it. they'll make sure we get on a jump, no matter what :) parking: plenty of it! no need to worry about spending time with parking while also being late :P offices/ cleanliness: polished. their bathrooms were clean and on the outside by the parking lot. inside office/ check in area was super spacious and well kept. their lounge area before the jump (super neat idea) was comfortable and well looked after staff: AMAZING!! we had 3 first time jumpers but all our nerves, worries and answers were taken care of. they were funny, sarcastic and ensured we had the best possible experience. we all ended up buying their video/ photo package because we loved the jump sooo much. it was unfortunately a bit cloudy when we jumped but the views were still breathtaking :) read more

Initial service: We walked in the front area of the building, which leads into the large preparation area. We walked up the trailer ramp and contacted staff inside. We had to fill out a disclaimer, advising that we wouldn't sue the business if something unexpected occurred. The staff was amazing, advising of what was going to take place and was telling me about their business. Price: Depending on what type of package you buy, the prices could vary between $75 to $180 person. I initially did not buy the video and picture for myself; I had only bought it for my fiancée. My fiancée ended up paying for the video and photographs for me. Boy, am I glad that she did. If this is your first time jumping, I highly suggest that you buy that photo / video package. It is truly worth it!!!! Grievance: None. Conclusion / Overall: Based on the service, the quality, the professional service, and courtesy, I will definitely give this business 5 stars. Imagine taking a few steps and then jumping out a plane. As you take one last gasp of air on the aircraft and your first in the blue sky; Tyler and I wasted no time and dove right in. Thirteen thousand feet of nothingness between us and the ground; we were flying through the sky like nothing in the world. My location...Somewhere over the rainbow on cloud nine. Ok fine, Oceanside California--soaking up a natural vista and taking it all in. Why am I here? I like baking and sewing; I am by no means your average jumper. Nevertheless, I got all my answers to life answered while I was up there. Once you have tasted the taste of the sky you will forever look up is what they say and I've been looking up ever since. Skydiving its where regular people and extreme sporting collide. Would you try it? And No, Zooming in on google earth REALLY fast does not count. If it scares you then it might be a good thing to try. Booking a jump here was quite simple. They have a few packages and you can add on video if you should choose to. On the day in question I arrived about twenty minutes before the jump time as suggested. Had to wait until visibility had cleared; then Geared up and we were all loaded in the plane. While you are up there you can almost feel the heartbeat of the city OK maybe it was my heart dropping into my stomach AT FIRST but WOW! I felt like I was breathing in 4K.
