This is my go-to now for dim sum. Their sui mai, the dish by which I measure all dim sum places, is what I expect from Hong Kong style dim sum in terms of wrapper, filling and texture. Sometimes during the weekdays, it tastes re-steamed or over-steamed. Generally, they are wonderful. The rest of their dim sum menu is also flavorful - bean curd rolls in traditional Hong Kong style oyster sauce gravy instead of the soy bean broth, spare ribs, har gou, deep fried tofu, honeycomb tripe, etc. I go there often so they know me which is a plus. I like to have pu-erh (bo lay in Cantonese) tea with my dim sum and they bring it to me as soon as I'm seated. It's one of few remaining traditional dim sum houses around now, where you sit down in a banquet style place and are served. It reminds me of having dim sum with my dad which I deeply miss. Wished Full House still has push carts for dim sum. If I am having dim sum, I would want the full experience with the dim sum ladies pushing a cart of fresh hot steamy dim sums to our table. It's what I really miss nowadays. Growing up in the west side, we never had a dim sum restaurant with push carts. Just about every Saturday, my parents would drive us (~18 miles) to Chinatown to have that real Asian dim sum experience. The ambiance, red, gold, and silver walls will keep you immersed while dining. the waiters speak Cantonese and they also communicate effectively in English. anyone can tell they've had a lot of experience over the years. they're attentive, swift, and courteous which is pretty generous in Chinese culture. order the xiang pian hot tea when they ask you. it's tastes like jasmine tea. I also usually order iced water to go back and forth with it. also, order double the chili small plates if you like it spicy~ my favorites were 1) siu mai 2) shrimp rice rolls 3) beef tripe 4) har gow only con is if har gow filling didn't have any flour with shrimp- but still better than a lot of places. the fried dough was stale unfortunately and the lotus wrap rice didn't have as much filling as I'd like. if you can, come on a weekday morning to beat the crowd. their lunch menu is also from 10am-3pm and dinner 3pm to closing. i will come back to review those!! read more

It wasn't bad for our first time here. Was looking for something in the area as we had something else going on later and didn't want to venture too far from it. Sunday and it was a good packed amount inside. There wasn't a wait as some tables were open. Everything is ordered from the sheet so no dim sum carts going around. Price wise per items were good, about 6.00/7.00 depending on a A or B dish. There's loads of other Ala cart items as well. Good didn't take long to arrive as things come out either at different time or a few at a time depending on availability. Quality was nice for what we had. There are a few beer options on had as well. The salt and pepper calamari was way to salty but everything else was nice. First time and it was nice. Why the 2.5 stars average Yelp rating? Ouch! Well, I had a chance to check out Full House BBQ To Go when I was in the area. Since, I did not feel like driving to my usual spots for Cantonese BBQ, I gave this place a try despite the low Yelp ratings and was pleasantly surprised: their food was good! Clean BBQ area was well. Full House BBQ (food stall) is an extension of (Full House Seafood) their restaurant next door, but located within the food court next to 99 Ranch Market in the President Plaza in Arcadia. It's sad to expect minimal service at a Cantonese Dim Sum restaurant but that's what we received. The food is tasty and meets all of the required flavors however temperature wise - the items did not come out steaming hot which is what you expect for a mark the item and bring it to you restaurant on a weekday. I came here to try some dimsum that i apparently haven't heard of, and my cousins wanted to show them to me. Especially the Chinese sausage rolls. This place is in a small strip mall with mostly Asian shops. Almost the opposite end of the mall from ranch 99/ 99 ranch. It looks litk quintessential chinese dimsum restaurant. Though like in Hong kong they have started touse the fill out forms instead of the carts that I remember growing up. The food is pretty good. Like each place they have their specialties. I really like their offal dish however the turnips were not cooked with the offal so so the flavor was not soaked i, I also liked the Chinese sausage rolls, it has the richness of the Chinese sausage coupled with the subtle sweetness of the steamed bread that wraps it. Over all everything was very good. I like somethings better at the places and I like somethings here better. The servers were the stereotypical Chinese servers at Chinese dimsum restaurant. However, we were disappointed by the poor service we received as our order was forgotten, leading to delays and frustration. We tried to cancel it since it was taking too long, and they ended up making it for use, but we managed to cancel it. My family and I were loyal customers of Full House Seafood Restaurant in Arcadia since I was a young gal! This restaurant has been in the city for years and has gone through lots of changes. I haven't been a patron for a while and decided to come back! I came on a gloomy Sunday morning with my boyfriend and was seated down quickly. Full House used to have the OG dim sum carts with those old-school push carts. Now, they do not. Hence, it wasn't as busy as I expected them to be. It used to be packed and lined up outside every weekend. The old-school push carts really add to the in-person dining experience. Whoever made the call to take that away should definitely reconsider! *Hint Hint That being said, I had to order through a menu selection. Nonetheless, everything still tasted good. I ordered all the favorites with my boyfriend - shumai, turnip cake, egg tart, chicken feet, and Chinese broccoli. 5 dishes for two people was enough to satisfy the dim sum craving! I do wish the food was hotter though. Although I missed the unique experience of scanning the room for the dim sum cart pushers and waving them down + having them come to us to reveal the steaming hot food - the food was still good. The pricing is still fair being in 2023 but still expect you'll pay at least $6 per dish. I can't guarantee I'll be returning back in the near future but you can bet I'll be running here once I hear Full House brings back the dim sum carts! read more

everything was okay, but nothing stood out full house used to be my go to dimsum place in the SGV, but it has been years since i had been. went in at 11am on a sunday and it was fairly empty (although it filled up as we were leaving around 12:30. the restaurant hasn't changed much over the past 6-7 years, and could definitely use a little refresh and cleaning. they no longer have the dimsum carts, but all the items can be ordered and marked on a sheet of paper. i found this to be easier! the food was all okay and prices were decent so no major complaints! read more

Big restaurant with lots of seating, great food, decent prices, with big portions. They brought out the food very quickly. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Having grown up in Arcadia, I've frequented Full House quite a bit since the 90's and have seen this place undergo lots of change. My visit on Sunday night was pretty quiet, and the food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. There was no background music, so it was easy to hear other parties and the occasional chopsticks on plates on bowls or metal spoons on plates. We started off with an appetizer of salted peanuts. At most restaurants including this one, they are often fairly salty, but I don't mind since this gives me an opportunity to sip tea. During my most recent visit, I wanted to try some of the dishes that I previously ordered, specifically the egg tofu with broccoli and honey walnut shrimp. The sauce for the egg tofu was the perfect consistency and flavor. The honey walnut shrimp was lightly fried for a slightly crisp meat and unlike other restaurants that I've tried was not over marinated or slathered with runny sauce. However, there was a hint of sour and slightly slimy after taste, albeit not enough to cause concern. Both dishes were decorated with lightly salted steamed broccoli, which I could foresee some to label as bland but they are in fact good palate cleansers. Rice was served with the entrees, and the rice is on the grainier side. Each grain could be tasted as it was chewed. Overall, I find that despite the many changes at Full House, it remains to be an local, easy and safe go-to option when I can't decide where to go. From my most recent visits that were for lunch, I recall the shrimp rice noodle - or cheong funs in general - being quite powdery. Following previous reviews, I agree that the dim sum quality has steadily declined since the past several years, and I am unsure of what caused the decline in quality and taste. I am saddened, though, because Full House used be a local favorite of mine. read more

Full House has always had pretty standard dim sum, but it's never been my family's go-to when we crave dim sum. But when we want dim sum and don't want to leave the house, we'll order from here because it's close and the food quality is always pretty good. And now, seeing as the pandemic has us staying in - I've found myself ordering take out from Full House pretty often. Especially since the normal locations I frequent haven't had up to par items/raised prices. We always order the usual - pork siu mai, baked salted egg yolk pineapple buns, chicken feet, and steamed BBQ buns. These never disappoint; while the siu mais don't have the fish roe on top (my favorite part of a siu mai!), the pork is super tender and juicy and tastes amazing, especially with some added chili. Their chicken feet are pretty jumbo sized and the pineapple buns with the salted egg yolk flowing out of the middle - delicious! I have to say that the steamed BBQ buns are a little on the smaller side, but bun is fluffy and the filling is tasty. Pan fried turnip cake, beef rice roll are also always good items to order. I love the mix of cilantro with the beef in the rice roll. Beef meatballs were alright, wasn't a fan of the peas stuck to the bottom, but the meatballs were pretty huge and the taste was good. The regular egg custard buns were also fresh and the filling wasn't too sweet. I know now, they offer take-out, phone orders, and online ordering. They're super busy during weekends and items might run out, so be prepared. Also make sure you check your order to make sure they're not forgetting anything - especially when they're so busy. No minimum on card. I believe each dim sum is around $4 with some items costing a bit more/less. Workers are pretty efficient and friendly. Definitely recommend if you're craving dim sum! read more

Take out review: Absolutely horrible experience. I picked up the food with full anticipation of good food, given each entree costs $18.95 - that's on the pricier end esp for Chinese food. I was in shock when I opened up the lids. The amount was very little (4 pieces of beef and about 10 pieces of radish). The seafood pot had 2 pieces of shrimp and some other little protein. I felt cheated right off the bat. But still, i I tried to look past the quantity, as I understand with inflation, doing business is not easy these days. I was even more disappointed when I tasted the food. Bland and flavorless. I can't believe this is from an authentic Chinese/Cantonese restaurant. I'm simply out of words for how bad the food is. As you can see from the Yelp reviews, the quality of the food and services are not consistent. Sometime you get a good experience and in other times you would bumped into bad food or service. We have not been here since Covid started. First time and we were kind of surprised by how good the dim sum were. No more pushing dim sum carts due to COVID, like other dim sum places, we had to order our food on a dim sum menu by making a check mark on the items we wanted. The dim sums were steamed to order so they all came out fresh and steamy. The sticky rice in lotus leaf was a hit. The rice and the fillings were done perfectly with the flavor and texture on the rice, no mushy rices. The shrimp dumpling were filled with huge prawns and flavor. The turnip cake or radish cake were also good. I particularly like their soy sauce fried noodle with bean sprouts, crispy and flavorful. The restaurant also offered whole roasted Turkey for the holidays, for less than $70, you can get a 12 pound roasted Turkey and a tray of sticky rice stuffing for the holiday dinner. When we were there for dim sum on Thanksgiving, we must have seen over 50 take outs for the Turkey. So come to the restaurant without too much of an expectation and enjoy the dim sum, you might get a good dining experience. read more

I've lived in Arcadia my entire life and this has always been my go-to dim sum spot. It used to be the only dim sum spot as far as i know. It's located inside the 99 Ranch plaza. This place is usually packed on the weekends, but the wait shouldn't be more than 30 minutes. They have good dim sum choices, the portions of the dim sum is nice and the price is very reasonable. The food always tastes hot and fresh (love the siu mai and har gow). The servers are friendly as well (and not too pushy). They have good dessert dim sum dishes as well (tofu soup, sponge cake, egg tarts etc.). There's a reason this place has been around for over 20 years, it's because they continue delivering quality food. I've never had a bad experience here.
