Mehhhh is review ! Heard through the online chatter this place was amazing, well I've had better. First off parking is a near death experience death challenge. Most parking is on street with cars cruising by so fast I'd be a bug smashed to a windshield if one hit me was the first issue. Second the treats didn't live up to hype. I purchased a cream cheese danish and took 2 bites before I tossed. Actually one of the worst I've had. Next was a bag of Italian macaroon cookies.. Not real great flavor and kinda dry so I shared with others to at least have a use for them. Well, the moral of the story is DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE brothers & sisters...

Following my friend's suggestion, I came by earlier to try and catch their fresh beef curry around 11:30. Their small parking lot was already full so we parked in front of the store temporarily. The inside of the small store was also bustling with patrons. Everything smelled so good and watching them assemble the fruit cake was such a treat! We decided not to eat outside the store and went to the park in the back so by then the beef curry bread and bacon cheddar braid had cooled significantly. The cheddar cheese was so crispy and contrasted with the soft bread and bacon. The beef curry filling is just simply ground beef (no potatos which was a slight let down for my partner). The azuki Malasada was very very sweet (due to the sugar coating) and since it's such a thin layer of sweet red bean I couldn't taste it much other than the sugar. Definitely would come back again just for the ube malasada, once again our favorite!

Friendly staff greeted us when we walked in. First time there and was impressed with the variety. We go so much and for Seattle and it being under $25, that's a good deal. The pastries were delicious. Would make the drive here again! There's a small parking lot to the side of the bakery.

For me, no trip to Seattle is complete without a trip to Fuji Bakery. I'm incredibly envious of the locals who get to indulge on the sugary treats and the endless carbs that this place is known for. The variety is excellent, the vibe is extra chill and incredibly local. I would kill for something like this in my neck of the woods. Seating is is limited to a couple of two seaters outside, but that's really it. Parking is also a small lot to the side of the building, and my last two visits have been on the street along Elliot Ave. The latter is not generally recommended, but doable in a pinch. Their ube and matcha malasadas are excellent. The breading is light and the ube filling is perfect. Their danishes may look ordinary, but they're delightful and indulgent. The variety of croissants are impressive, but the butter and almond croissants stand out for their simplicity and addictive qualities. It might sound dramatic, but the sandos are so good that I'd come back just for those. The egg salad sando is an instant foodgasm and the chicken katsu is superb. The price is reflective of the quality (i.e. a tinge expensive) of the pastries and the staff is fairly good about recommendations and are quite good about moving the line along. I already know Fuji is in the cards again when I'm back in the Pacific NW.

This bakery is unassuming, but now I know why they had such a long line. They offer both Asian, and French inspired treats. I got the jalapeño bread, warmed, and I couldn't wait for my drink to be ready before I basically swallowed it whole. I really enjoyed the matcha lemonade, and the world cookies reminded me of a better version of Mexican wedding cookies.

Saw this bakery on my way to work and was intrigued. SO GLAD I STOPPED IN Holy moly, quite literally the best dessert items I've ever had. They know what they're doing. Small place, no where to sit inside (a couple small tables outside), they serve coffee too (I did not get any). Service was kind, I didn't feel rushed which is always nice and all items reasonably priced. I hate that I came in because I WILL be back lol

Really enjoyed the variety! Line wasn't that bad for a sunny Sunday afternoon. Great place to come and get a variety of savory and sweet pastries. We'll definitely be coming back!

I saw this bakery on a YouTube channel I was watching and made this a stop. This was a perfect bakery to stop in after a 5 mile walk at centennial park. I admittedly ate way more than I should have, but equally enjoyed the strawberry, matcha and bacon pastries. The matcha fizzy was slightly sweet but didn't overpower the drink. It was balanced perfectly with matcha and fizz. They also have gluten free options to enjoy.

I wasn't able to get a lot of pics since we were in a bit of a rush, but I took a quick pic of our assorted pastries they packaged up for us. We sampled one of each Malasada - Crunchy Cream - Ube - Lilikoi (passion fruit) - Matcha - Strawberry The fillings were light and fresh tasting. They had a good amount of filling as well. I wish they had other options besides sugar tossed malasada's. I enjoy mine powdered or plain, which is probably why the crunchy cream was my most liked of them all. The beef curry had a slightly intense curry flavor. Borderline too intense for some, but for me it was quite enjoyable. I wasn't a fan of their hot dog bread. Maybe because there wasn't much hot dog. If it's going to be a hot dog themed baked good, I want hot dog in every bite please lol. I would definitely like to come back and try other items as they had a large assortment of baked goods. It's a cute little bakery with friendly staff. It's bright pink outside so you can't miss it and there is a small parking lot located to the side of the building. Stop by and judge for yourself.

Cream puff

This location has a lot more items than their location in International district! They have a huge selection of pastries, Asian baked goods, donuts, some sandwiches and more. They also have some seating inside and outside as well as a small parking lot as well. We grabbed some pastries to-go to enjoy at Kerry Park. We got a cream puff, and an ube malasada. The cream puff was MASSIVE! The biggest cream puff I've seen, it was delicious and like 90% cream. The ube malasada was also yummy, the donut was light and airy and not overly sweet. Next time I want to try one of their Japanese sandos!

Pretty solid! We went on a Saturday morning and the place was packed! The parking is quite tricky so I recommend either getting there quite early or parking elsewhere. We parked in the taco time parking lot and had one person stay in the car. They had a good variety of pastries but things like the donuts were selling quite fast! We got a chocolate chip cookie, an egg sandwich, and an ube donut! The donut had a great flavor but I would say flour box donuts have a better overall donut! The egg sandwich was quite good but I don't think I would get it again for $8. The chocolate chip cookie was HUGE!!! The classic American chocolate chip cookie was named quite accurately. Perfectly chewy, good chocolate chip distribution, and nicely sweet! Nothing stood out too much but everything was very good!

I've passed by this bakery previously and noticed it from its bright pink color! I went on a weekend morning and surprisingly the line wasn't too bad. There were probably 4-5 parties ahead of us and the line moves fairly fast depending on how much people order. We ordered the pear croissant, the milk stick, and the crunchy cream malasada which were all pretty good. Solid flavors and textures. We also got the berry chocolate cake, which has raspberry jam on the inside and meringue dollops on top. It was really good and not too sweet. They serve Fulcrum coffee, and the iced latte is really good too.

We've officially become regulars at Fuji Bakery and I am not mad about it! We stopped in one weekend during their birthday celebration, and now I can't imagine a weekend without one of their malasadas. I've tried every malasada flavor (commitment, I know), and my top recs are the crunchy one (rolled in cornflakes with vanilla custard inside--amazing texture and flavor) and the Azuki, which is always so satisfying. My partner is more of a savory pastry fan, and Fuji has been the perfect addition to our weekend bakery rotation, she tries something new every time and loves it. Bonus points: the coffee here is consistently excellent, service is super fast and always friendly, and the prices are really reasonable for the quality and location. We are forever fans now!

We recommend you try something new and prepare to be impressed. Rather extensive menu for such a small place. They do not cut corners on preparation or ingredients. The star for us are the croissants which are actually perfect. Really! Service: Superb in every instance. The staff is there to serve you and they do it with class, good humor and professionalism. They are very knowledgeable about their products and are happy to share that knowledge. They work as a team which means no breakdowns when things get busy. Physical: Does not wow from the outside but is very attractive inside. Well laid out for efficient service. All the details are top notch - displays, cloth napkins with beautiful silverware and china, art, etc. The outside seating in very inviting now that the weather has improved. Atmosphere: You actually do feel like you are in a French café, except with friendly service. Prices: Given all of the above the prices are very, very reasonable. This is one of the few dining experiences where you actually get what you pay for. We always leave happy. I repeat - six stars.

After wandering in a Friday morning, we…read morefound the place pretty busy, with several people in line ordering pastries and others sitting outside sipping on drinks. Moonrise Bakery has a pretty good selection of croissants and other baked goods, which intrigued us enough that we ended up purchasing two: Kouign Amann ($5.95) - Overbaked and burnt on the surface, the exterior layer flakes off and tastes extremely acrid. The caramelized sugar layer is also baked hard resulting in a much firmer toffee-like texture rather than more sticky caramel. It's not too sweet and there's a bit of salt sprinkled in the center to bring out the flavor (although since it's overcooked, the flavor is on the more burnt side). The dough itself is layered pretty well and the interior texture is ideal, airy and chewy. Unfortunately the acridity on the exterior really dampened my enjoyment of the pastry. (3/5) Pain au Chocolat ($5.65) - This chocolate croissant is crisp and flaky with a rich buttery taste. It has pretty good lamination and honeycomb structure. Two classic chocolate batons added to the interior make this a solid croissant. I have no real complaints about this one; it's definitely a good eat. (5/5) I'd return to Moonrise to try some of their other baked goods. As a reminder to myself: don't order anything that looks too dark in color and/or looks burnt. Bathrooms - One unisex room in the back, key is hanging on the door.

I'd love to go back soon and try the coffee and the other pastries as well.

I have so many things that I need to go back and try, most likely with a group, so I can try lots of things. They do lots of specialty items, depending on the day which is a fun way to spice up their menu. I ended up going with the burrata focaccia sandwich which came with burrata, roasted bing cherries, pistachio butter, balsamic, arugula, and sea salt focaccia. SOOOO yummy. Great sandwich, and I am so glad that they did lunch items early in the AM. The cherries were such a unique addition to the sandwich but worked well, and they were also representative of the local area (Rainier Cherries). I wish that there was flaky salt on the bread. I didn't get much salt flavor wise, even though is says sea salt focaccia. The focaccia bread was soft which is my preference for focaccia. Sometimes burrata texture can be weird, but this one was smooth, creamy, and perfect texture.
