    Chicken fried rice

This restaurant is a 10 out of 10. I definitely RECOMMEND!!! The food is so fresh and authentic. The service from Maxine was superb. Even with a little language barrier she was patient and understanding. We went on the website and clicked order now to real see pics and understand the menu. The vibe is Latin culture, very Quaint! I'm a foodie and love eating off the beaten path. For appetizers we ordered the chicken empanadas. First time ever having them made with a cornmeal shell. They were delicious. And whatever sauce that they serve in the bottle. It goes on EVERYTHING!!!! We also ordered their version of cheese sticks. This was the only thing that we weren't a fan of. Was looking for that cheese pull. But they seemed homemade. We ordered the family size roasted chicken. All I can say is OMG!! It was seasoned to perfection and taste like it came straight off a grill. My husband had chicken fried rice and we all dug in and made it a side for our chicken that already came with two other sides. The black beans had sooooo much flavor. I ordered the beef soup which was so good I packed it up so I could eat it in the comfort of my home. I also had a passion fruit caipirinha. One of the best I've ever tasted. If you ever in the Daytona Beach area it's a must if you want some authentic Latin food!!!

Ceviche mixed con parrillada . This food was legit in typical Venezuela style. Check them out !!

The chips were fresh, not greasy and the salsa was good. Everything is authentic and homemade. I had a lightly salted margarita on the rocks. It was great and they use pure agave instead of sour mix. I asked for light on the agave and extra limes. There are so many Mexicans restaurants but a few locals pointed me to this one because everything is so fresh.

I asked for a ranch water and the confusion on the gentlemans face was funny and instead of checking or even using Google to find the recipe he just said no, so I asked for a martini nope dont make those either, I settled with tea. I ordered chicken tortilla soup light on the tortilla strips, it came out the same time as the meal, tons of tortilla strips and at most it was warm. The chille reno was so cold the cheese was firming back up, beans and rice both room temperature. The salsa was good and if the food would have been hot by the taste it would have been a good meal. They dropped the ball by not looking up a simple drink recipe and serving cold food. I might revisit but I wouldn't take guests there until they work out a few things.

Came here for Father's Day celebration and need dinner. Just went in…read more The outside is not very flashy but it can tell it is a local place. We went in and got greeted right away. The restaurant has local charm. Not very very expensive but it is nicely decorated and very friendly. We got crispy calamari, mahi fish sandwiches, shrimp po boy sandwiches and coke and unsweetened tea. The food came up fairly quickly. The calamari is very good, esp with the sauces and lemon juices! My fish sandwiches were perfect and very yummy with the tartar sauce. It also came with fries, hush puppies, slaw. Shrimp po boy sandwiches is also amazing. Overall this was a very nice dinner with quality food and services!

I was excited to try this family-owned restaurant because of the strong reviews, and I truly wanted…read moreto like it, but overall the food and value were disappointing for the price point, even for beachside seafood. My husband and I started with the buffalo shrimp, which is a go-to order for us at seafood spots. The buffalo flavor was good, but the sauce was very oily, and several shrimp still had bits of shell attached beyond the tails, so I ended up picking shell out of my mouth while eating. For my entrée, I ordered the snow crab and shrimp platter and asked for it to be cooked without butter but keep the old bay. The plate arrived with no discernible seasoning at all, and the seafood, potatoes, and corn tasted like they'd been boiled in plain water. When I asked about it, the server explained that they don't steam crab or shrimp in Old Bay, despite agreeing to that when I ordered, and that the platters rely on butter for flavor, which was disappointing for a $40-$50 dish. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because my mother did enjoy her lobster platter. That said, her lobster was absolutely swimming in butter and Old Bay--not lightly drizzled as the menu implies--and it felt like butter was the main source of flavor rather than an enhancement. The server even mentioned how much butter the restaurant goes through in a day, which reinforced that this is their primary approach to seasoning. I enjoy seasoning and lots of flavor, and I prefer seafood that's cooked so the spices and the delicious taste of the shellfish stand out, not preparations that rely on heavy butter, so this restaurant ultimately wasn't a good fit for my preferences.
