Fabulous

We attended a wonderful wine pairing dinner at Malibu Grill in Port Orange & what a wonderful experience it was! Colin and Kelly were amazing servers. Frank Family wines were featured and each course was so well paired. Wonderful small group (less than 50) in a private dining room. Recommended highly!

Wahoo special with ginger stir fry and beans/rice.

Went here for lunch for my dad's birthday and everything was pretty good. Still looking for killer seafood in Central Florida and it's tough. This place was good, not great though. I ordered the Wahoo special as it sounded amazing with a Ginger Stir Fry. I am not a fan of broccoli but this one was delicious. The fish itself was a bit overcooked, but the dish was well crafted. The twin lobster tails were served kinda messy with the lemon butter spilled all over the fries. The waiter brought fresh fries and another lemon butter, but it was kind of congealed like a thick mayonnaise. Not really dippable. The lobster was good though. The wedge salad was delicious! Fresh and cheesy. And the birthday boy got a free dessert and he chose the chocolate one (smart boy). It was also pretty good and disappeared the fastest of all of the food. I wasn't in a drinking mood (I know, right?) but I will say their drink menu looked phenomenal. There were at least 4 drinks that I wanted (typically, it's 1-2 on a normal cocktail menu). I'd definitely go back as they had a pretty diverse menu. Service was excellent up until the point where it was time to leave. The place got a little busy on a Saturday afternoon. But the drink menu is the reason I want to return. Then head to Homegoods for drunken shopping!

Gross burnt shrimp tacos.

Absolutely ridiculous lol. Putting a to go order. Went in even tho it said not ready to see my food sitting there. No one to come to the host stand to give me my food. Asked for extra pico.... Please see the photo of my extra burnt shrimp tacos with two pieces of pico

Fish tacos that were fishy and awful

I don't know how we made the mistake of eating at this restaurant again on a drive to South Florida. I (as always trusted Yelp) and because there are limited options in this area, we went in. As soon as we walked in, we knew we had been here years ago and it was bad. We should have left. The server was nice enough but he was waiting tables, working the bar, and the whole experience was a disaster along with bad food. Fish tacos were fishy and awful! Wrap was not good. Service was awful. My husband had to go find him after us being there an hour to get our check. Stay away! We will not go there again. Period.

What a great find! We visited Macker Seafood on the 4th of July and had a wonderful experience…read more Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The clam chowder was rich, hearty, and loaded with clams and other delicious ingredients. We also took advantage of their happy hour special with $1 raw oysters, which were fresh and delicious. The fried fish and fried shrimp specials were both excellent--lightly battered, perfectly cooked, plump, and juicy. We paired everything with a couple of beers and sweet tea, and it made for a fantastic meal. The service was outstanding. Lauren, our server, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Brian and Mama were also so welcoming and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere, the clean restaurant (including the spotless restroom), and the background music, which was at just the right volume. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend Macker Seafood if you're looking for fresh seafood, great service, and a relaxed dining experience!

We had chowder, raw oysters, lightly blackened mahi-mahi and peel/eat shrimp. No complaints with any. Peel/eat shrimp came with potatoes and corn, too-- nice surprise. Mahi-mahi came with tasty fries. Just a simple little place with basic menu; I guess I was hoping for a bit more variety and different dishes, this being the 3rd day of seafood fest! No complaints at all, but there are other places in the area with very good seafood, full bar, seating on the water, etc. (I thought this place could probably charge much more, being just as it is, if it were anywhere near the actual beach or waterway).

The inside of this place is super cute, and it feels every bit like a family owned restaurant, which I loved. We had a reservation, and we showed up about 5 minutes early, but then 2 other parties of 2 who arrived after us were seated before us even though one of them was a walk in. They were both seated at 4 tops, so I was thinking maybe that's why we didn't get those tables, but when we were finally seated we also got a 4-top. We waited about 20 minutes before I finally asked the host, and then they seated us at the next table that was bussed. Our table was a little tucked away around a corner where you couldn't see it from the entrance. Now, growing up as a person of color, I'm more inclined to notice when I'm the only person of color in a space than most white people I've met are. So, I noticed almost immediately that all the white people who arrived after us were sat before us in very visible tables and then I (the lone brown person) was sat around the corner away from the entry. Now, I don't know these people, so I have absolutely no reason to think that this was intentional, but I need them to realize how it might look. You have to be cognizant of things like that. Even if they just forgot to seat us and the hidden table happened to be the next available, it looked very bad. Now, the server who was assigned to us was awesome. We told her we were in town for Rockville and we all talked about music. She was super nice and attentive. For food, I got the catch of the day grilled with grits and mashed potatoes. When I ordered this, I don't think I imagined how unappetizing it would look. Nevertheless, the fish was well cooked, but I found myself wishing that the grits were a little cheesier, the potatoes were a little smoother, and the fish had a sauce. It was a very drab plate both visually and from a flavor perspective. My companion got the francaise with scallops. It was good, but not enough to fill him up (which we would've expected from the price). So would I go back here? Probably not. I think that this place is kind of overrated, possible because there aren't a lot of nicer options in Daytona. Again, our server was awesome, but the food didn't stand up to our expectations, and the initial experience with getting seated was disappointing at best.

One person was sitting at an outdoor table, there was a table of six and a table of 2 seated ahead of us. The last page of the menu states food is prepared "a la minute," so prepare yourself for a 15-40 minute wait for your food. If this is the case, we'd like to recommend the owners put out some bread and butter for the patrons to munch on as they prepare for the long wait. We watched as the table of 6 food came out rather haphazardly and certainly not all at once. We happened to have a coupon for a free appetizer, so we ordered the Crab Dip and a side salad to start along with our main entrees of "Fall Off The Bone" Ribs and Octopus Rissoto as soon as the server came by to take our order. So, 4 tables for her and she was by herself and the owner was in the kitchen cooking the food. The server bumped this review up an extra star. After sitting, waiting for quite some time, we had to ask the server if she could at least bring out the salad, and she said it was coming next. We'll, the Iceberg salad, came out along with the lukewarm Crab Dip and chips that could have been fresher. So, we ate those, and the main entrees were ready to come out as we finished the dip. The server brought out the fries and coleslaw and then we waited for the entrees to follow. The Octopus, surprisingly, was the best item. The rissoto was too dry for us. The ribs were the worst we've ever had dining out. Even with the sharp knife provided it was tough to cut the ribs apart from each other and the backside was burnt. Again, we were told the owner was cooking. These ribs should never have come out of the kitchen. We ate 2 of the 4 ribs and asked the server to take the other 2 back and present them to the chef along with our remark of them being the worst we've ever had when dining out. The server took the ribs back and removed $5 off the $17.99 ribs. As we left there was one table left finishing up their meal. The owner had every opportunity to come out and address the ribs and our dining experience but apparently chose not to do so. Anyway, we dine out at least twice a week and prefer to give the smaller mom and pop establishments are hard earned money. So, I implore the owner to go back and read MM's review from 2 weeks ago and realize nothing seems to have changed in our eyes. We won't be returning either as he/she had every opportunity to receive feedback in person while we were at the establishment. By the way, the server didn't know we were getting a complementary appetizer when she gave us the $5 off the ribs and we have no idea how she came up with that figure. Service was very good from her with what she had to deal with in the kitchen.
