It's the good old Applebee's. Darrin the bartender is a super host. They have daily specials. The prices are reasonable. The service is very good. I like to go on Thursdays. Open at 11 arrived very much after 11 and waited outside for them to open and then waited inside to get a seat. We stoped in to get their new 9.99 deal. I do have to say the burger was fresh, not frozen and was cooked perfectly. The bacon was crisp and we both opted for coleslaw. The meal deal comes with bottomless soda and they had Pepsi products. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were the worst. The floors looked like they had not been cleaned in several months and the doors were slimy with the toilet paper roll holders broken. I'll end on a somewhat positive note with the service - although they opened late the server was delightful. Yeah, we fancy like Applebee's on a date night (that's right) Got that Bourbon Street steak with the Oreo shake (ayy) yeah okay this visit wasn't that exciting but in the same breath I admit it wasn't that bad either. We walked in just after the noon hour and found the manager conducting a job interview at the hostess station and seemed oblivious that we existed so we fricking had to hang out and listen to the BS while the manager did his song and dance, very unprofessional to say the least. (this guy is the reason a star is missing from this review) After being seated we waited and waited because I'm sure the manager alerted no one of our presents (he showed us to our seats and went directly back to his interview what a great example of tunnel vision) Finally by happenstance a server appeared so not wanting to risk the horse and pony show of just her taking our drink order we quickly blurted out our complete order as soon as she completed her greeting - I will say as poorly as the experience began our server did perform efficiently and professionally. The Dr. Peppers were tasty and refreshing and met the brix levels no watered down pop here - the appetizer (artichoke and spinach dip was just okay, the chips were fresh and the half ounce of salsa that accompanied the chips and dip was pretty good). The Classic Cheeseburgers were definitely the stars of the show, very flavorful, cooked perfectly pink served with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and pickles and topped with a nice slice of natural cheddar cheese. My daughter and I did a late night dine and we loved it! It was empty and peaceful! Our server was dope asf! We ended up just getting appetizers instead of a full meal cause we weren't super hungry. We got wonton chicken taco things, boneless Buffalo wings, and the sampler platter which had Salsa, chips, artichoke spinach dip, quesadillas, boneless Buffalo wings and cheese sticks. We travel all around the country and always like to try to visit one Applebees in the area where we are visiting. Menus mostly are the same all around as they should be, service and food all depends upon the staff. We stopped at this one and we were very pleased with everything, service was great and food was delicious, also we noticed that many locals like this place as well, which is a very good sign. We went before 6:00 p.m. on a Monday night, but during bike week. It was about a 20-minute wait which seems reasonable. But, once you look around, there was a lot of empty tables. It seemed to us that they were short of wait staff. We assumed that our waitress was new and probably normally would have been training with another waitress, but because they were short-staffed she was on her own. She was pleasant and eager to please, and I'm sure she did her best - I've been in that position before and it sucks. The food was okay, My Margarita seemed a bit weak, but it tasted great. I can't judge overall from one experience. My feeling is that they were having a rough night because of inadequate scheduling, sick calls, or both. So I will just summarize by saying that I've had better experiences at other Applebee's. read more

What happen to extra cleaning due to Covid! This restaurant was so disappointing. It's was dirty, from the entrance window and doors. All the doors were so dirty and are not wiped down at all. My wife went into the bathroom with our daughter and said it was so gross even a used t***pon on the floor. She was utterly disgusted! We mention the vent first and conveniently his vacuum was in his car to address. Then as we are sitting at both the window ledge was full of food that hasn't been wiped. The waitress was awesome. Hit Applebee's after about a 2+ year hiatus. Best I can say is, "it's an ok experience. The fish & chips was good (particularly for the Friday special price point) but that was after it took 31 minutes to receive after placing the order. And after being seated waiting over 10 minutes for a drink water. We were told it was shift change at 4:45 PM and there was some confusion. Don't know why the hostess seating us did not quickly get a drink order in. There is just so much competition for this style of dining, but nothing great stood out about this Applebee's location to return to. read more

I don't know what you're expecting from a review for a place like this, but it was all good enough. I got a drink that came with a fruit roll-up in it, and they were playing star wars on the TVs. It's about as bland as you can get, but is incredibly safe if you have a kid that's a picky eater or are with old people who are terrified of ethnic fare like "Sriracha" and "salt" Everyone is friendly enough in that "if we don't welcome you within 20 seconds, we get fired" way which sucks for the people employed here but otherwise means I'll at least get timely refills. read more

I called at 9:05 to place a to-go order for my son. He is autistic, so he is extremely picky about what and where he eats, and this is one of the very few places he will actually eat. I had my newborn sleeping in the car and also my toddler with me. It was raining outside, and I called to place a curbside order. She told me she can't come outside after 9, which was 5 minutes ago. I explained to her my situation, and she didn't care. I know there are rules, I get it, but virtually any other restaurant would have just come out for the 5 seconds it would have taken to give me an order that would have taken me 20 minutes in the rain with my kids. What are two things you look for in a restaurant, good food and great service. Tonight my wife and I had the misfortune of eating at Applebee's in Port Orange. When arrived at around 6:30 they were not that busy, from the time we were seated until the waitress came for our drink order 10 minutes and we placed our food and drink order at the same time. Ten minutes later we got our drinks, not long after the food came. My wife had the Southwest Chicken Bowl and I had The Grilled Bacon Cheese Chicken Sandwich with fries. My wife's looked like a crispy chicken salad with guacamole and Blackbean Salsa, mine the sandwich was very very very salty and fries were cold and soggy. Had a bad experience there yesterday, ordered riblets mashed potatoes and green beans. The riblets were ice cold with ice cold barbecue sauce on them but the mashed potatoes were warm. Beans were raw. Told the server, she just saw sorry but didn't offer hot plate of food. Called to speak with the manager was told by a supervisor he was going to mail us e-certificate to try again but nothing. Came in for the happy hour after 10pm. My tacos were burnt, my drinks never got refilled, the manager came to talk to me and he smelt like crap. Told me I'm not worth their business with my 50$ tab. Disappointing service. I don't know what it is about ordering food to-go but the quality of service seems to be ignored. When I arrived in the to-go parking spot, I waited about 10 minutes to be greeted by someone. I decided to get out and go inside to order my food. When I got through the door, I had to interrupt a waitress to ask her for a menu and was told to get it, myself, at the podium in the front of the restaurant. Of course, because I don't know my way around the restaurants podium, the only menu that I could find was a kids menu. The same waitress came over and found a to-go menu for me. Why didn't she just get it for me to begin with? After I found the menu, I returned to my car to share it with my coworker. Once we figured out what we wanted, we called in our order and was told it would take 15 minutes. I let the waitress on the phone know that we were already in the parking lot, so as soon as it's done, we will be here. Side note, the menu is out-dated. I tried to order an appetizer that they no longer served anymore. 30 minutes later, I decided to go in, again, and check on our food. It still wasn't ready so I waited inside for about 10 minutes longer. When I finally got our food, our total was $30 and I handed the waitress a $50. She took it and said, "I'm assuming you need change?" Uhhh.... "Yes please." My thoughts are that I'm not giving a $20 tip even if the service was spectacular. I would have given $5 at the most because it was take-out. In anyway, she seemed annoyed and told me that she had to go find some change. So there I waited some more time while she went around the restaurant looking for my change. The food was actually pretty good overall...despite all of the waiting and sub-par service. Hence the 2 stars instead of one. I ordered the Cajun Chicken and Shrimp that was served with potatoes and onions and mushrooms. The onions weren't cooked through, and I'm not sure if they were supposed to be, so I won't discredit them for that. I just assumed they would be caramelized. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly but there wasn't enough of them. I would say that there was about one mushroom cap, sliced, total. The chicken was char-grilled, I think. They added a pad of what looked like a compound butter on top that was delicious! The shrimp was my favorite part, it was spicy, grilled tasting, and you know it was good if you're whimpering when you've realized you ate them all. All in all, I'm going to give them another shot in the future, but I'll definitely have to dine-in. read more

I haven't been to an Applebees in a million years and after last night I remember why. I stopped in with a friend to catch up and have a bite to eat; I ordered the fish and chips and she ordered the Asian chicken salad. We also had two-for-one happy hour margaritas. I can't speak to her salad, she ate the whole thing so I can only assume she was satisfied. The chip - or french fries - as I like to call them, were liberally dusted with approximately a large mountain's worth of salt, and the fish...well, technically I guess it was fish. It tasted fishy, anyway. It was so greasy though, it was kind of hard to tell. We each took a sip of the margaritas, simultaneously raised our eyebrows, and pushed them as far away as possible. If there is a Koolaid packet that tastes like overly sweetened lime flavoured paint thinner, then that is probably what they used to create a beverage so foul. As no one brought any water to our table at any point in the evening, we had to wash our food down with copious amounts of shame and regret. Our server was rather attentive -almost too much in fact. As I mentioned, my friend and I had met there to catch up, and during the course of our conversation we must have been interrupted a dozen times by our waiter, or who I can only assume was a manager type, to ask us how our food was. I didn't make any complaints, because, well - it's Applebees. What did I expect? I could hardly say "I came here expecting crappy food, ordered it anyway, and boy you sure didn't fail to disappoint!" My only real complaint about this place is that when you order their two-for-one draft beers, they bring them both out at the same time. So while I drink one, the other gets warm.
