Our waitress was phenomenal! We had 7 ladies; all separate checks and everything was great! Food came as ordered and was delicious. Our server was Linnea and would ask for her again the next time I go. One of the other employees- Bobby I think - was so patient with us getting settled for photos lol. My husband and I had a very enjoyable dinner last night at Outback in Ormond Beach. Our server Amanda B was just excellent! We started off with house margaritas and a blooming onion. The drinks were delicious and the blooming onion was so good. It had great flavor, very easy to eat and was not greasy at all. My husband ordered 18oz bone-in ribeye (w/o the seasoning) med/rare with sides of Tasmanian chili and a loaded sweet potato. I ordered the 13oz ribeye, medium rare w/o the seasoning with side of house salad and Aussie fries. Steaks were made to perfection, temperature was spot on. The restaurant does have TVS but the noise level was very low which was nice. Amanda gave us top notch service and made our dining so much more enjoyable. read more

Second time we had a horrible experience. We ordered and it took them an hour to get our wilted warm salads to us. Then 20 minutes later still no entrees. We were leaving when to server got mad with us because we were leaving and said you will pay for what you had, like we were trying to skip out on the bill. When the manager finally came over she told us we owed nothing on the bill-we had sodas and some bread- as mentioned 2nd bad experience. We won't be back. read more

We haven't been to Outback for years and were looking forward to dinner. We ordered two Victoria filets last night. Both had a weird, bad taste, so we ate little and brought them home. When we got home, I sliced off the steak edges, rinsed them in water and grilled them in a pan with salt, pepper, oil and butter. They were perfect after that. Outback seems to be doing something in the prep and cooking process that isn't working. We probably won't go back until we know the problem has been fixed. read more

To anyone who is leery about chain restaurants I can only say give this one a try. Dinner here tonight was a perfect experience from beginning to end. Started with the Onion Blossoms, a perfect appetizer for two people. The grilled salmon was done to perfection, with deliciously seasoned rice and broccoli on the side. Alice Springs Chicken was well presented as well, and every bite was delicious. No room for dessert, but chocolate tower to go will be a great decadence later. Our server Scott was on point, delivering great service even with staff shortages and very busy conditions. Outback is always comfortable and welcoming. What a waste of time and money. 3 of 5 meals were stone cold. Another got cold waiting 10 minutes for condiments. Eventually got meals remade to temperature, but by then half the table was done with the meal. Management made no attempt to make it right in some way. Will never be back. So my fiance and I are serious foodies from NY and we travel around the world and go to some of the fanciest restaurants to try the food. Last night we didn't want to go fancy. We wanted steak but simple and local and decent food. We tried this Outback. What a great choice for the night. The steak we both ordered was cooked to perfection!!! For some it is hard to perfect a medium rare steak. This chef Joe not only nailed this steak but he made the best perfectly cooked and tasty steak out of all the Outbacks I've been to in my life. My fiancé even told me at the table I think this is the best Outback steak I ever had. And we laughed because we thought the same thing. Service was kind and friendly. We had Nicole. She was for the most part on point. She was new but boy did she handle us well. No complaints. Just so so friendly! We met the manager and had to compliment the chef and get a chance to meet him. The manager jason was kind enough to bring him out to meet him. Boy was he so kind. The whole staff was so friendly. The steak was amazing!! Didn't have to use A1 sauce. We will be there again soon. Hands down the absolute worst ribeye I've ever had the displeasure of getting more stuck in my teeth than chewed and swallowed more like a huge meaty pill than chewed food cause you get tired eventually. I'm not even excluding the first steak I've ever cooked, it wasn't great but it blew this cut of meat out of the water. That's what it was too, the ultra cheap cut of meat they served as a "rib-eye" as if I didn't know what one was like. That's not to praise the cooks either, the last two times I got a steak from the Int'l spdwy store it was ultra rare and cold rather than medium rare or medium well (which I ordered that way the second time because my first order had been raw months before) both times, rare, chewy, difficult to eat. The cherry on top, I paid $30+ for the privilege each time. I think we can all agree on a three strikes in your out rule as far as I'm concerned outback is "outta there!" I'll never eat at one again. This location greatly exceeded my expectations. I probably wouldn't have dined here because of a long history of mediocre at best experiences at other Outbacks over the years, but we had a gift card. Our original intent was to get a couple beers and apps and move on for dinner elsewhere, but the bar was full of people eating dinner there and everyone seemed very happy so we stayed. We had great service from our bartender (Mollie I think). Our appetizer was the blooming shrimp and I would certainly have that again, great combo with the ice cold beers and the portion size was good as well. I wasn't hungry after the app so we hung out for a while and finally decided to split the large rib roast. They went above and beyond by plating everything separately for us (Salad, Potatoes, Meat) without us asking for it! The meal was a good value overall and prepared well. Other notes: The hostess was friendly, the manager stopped to say hi and ask us how we were doing, and the bar was lively. Sometimes there is a wait time but they try as fast as they can to get you in at a reasonable amount of time while following the Covid guidelines. FOOD IS AMAZING!! Im not a steakhouse person. We received a gift card for outback so we ordered our favorite ribeye. We made it a to go order. My husband got home and i took a bite of an amazing steak cooked to perfection but on the second bite i began to have an allergic reaction. I was allergic to one of the seasons they put on the steak. They made a new dinner, cleaned the grill so i wouldn't get any spice on the steak and replaced the whole meal. That was really great but it goes beyond that. We dont eat out often but when we order from outback the manager always takes care of makings sure we dont have a problem with the steak. This was the worse experience i have ever had at Outback. We were a 4 top, and each meal was overcooked. Hamburger ordered medium rare, came out well done. Bone-in ribeye, ordered medium rare was well done. The server took the ribeye back immediately. Took 25 minutes to cook a new steak. It was the worse steak I have ever gotten. It's like they picked out the worse steak to punish me. So tough and full of gristle, and still over cooked. Ribs were tough. Prime rib was over cooked. Blooming onion and salads were the only high lights of this meal. Will not be coming back. Ate an early dinner at 4:30, 12/30/24. The restaurant was not busy at all. Really disappointed. read more
