This to me is pretty Americanized Chinese food. If you come in here with that mind set, you will leave happy. Also, they have big portions. I was really craving some Chinese food the other night, so we decided to try this place out. It was not busy for a Friday night, seemed like a lot of there business is done with food delivery services, like Uber Eats or something along those lines. Pricing wise, you can order presets from anywhere from $14/per person and up. We chose a preset menu that included Walnut Shrimp (my fave!) and it was $17/person, 2 orders required. So Cody and I got: - Chinese ribs - Egg drop soup and hot and sour soup - Orange Chicken - Walnut shrimp - Egg rolls - rice - potstickers we order separately I really enjoyed the walnut shrimp and the orange chicken. The egg rolls were kinda awful. Don't get them. I didn't even finish my egg roll, it was really bland. Again, Americanized Chinese food. You couldn't tell from the outside but they have some of the best American Chinese food in the area. In particular is the orange chicken and green beans and garlic. So delicious!! I used to always think Chinese food sounded better than it actually was, until I discovered Fu Shen. I'd be disappointed each time I'd try a new place. This is my second time ordering take out from Fu Shen, and it was just as great. I ordered the General Tso's chicken, and fried rice with beef since the chicken doesn't include a side of rice. I'm looking forward to getting the combo plate next time that comes with soup and house chow mein. The rice and chicken aren't dry.. and the chicken has the perfect bit of crunch to it! I love that they box the broccoli separate so that it doesn't get soggy, and they give you a nice amount (more than a few pieces). Portions are good for the price as well. I was craving some classic Cantonese Chinese food and this spot hit the mark! The staff is so friendly and fast. We ordered over the phone and as my husband pulled into the parking lot, the lady who took our order came running out with our food! Amazing service, even in the middle of a pandemic. We got their honey walnut prawns, broccoli/beef and mushu pork. Prawns were good and the mayo was perfectly seasoned. The beef was so tender! And the mushu pork was tasty as well, with yummy pancakes for wrapping. It was a ton of food too! We spent about $40 but it'll feed our family of 2 adults and toddler for at least 3 meals. Ordered my food over the phone which was easy and the owner walked the food out to my car despite the rain which was great! Unfortunately I found the food overall bland which was disappointing. The wonton soup had no green onions in the broth, lacked much flavor at all. The pork egg rolls also were really plain. Only the duck sauce made them palatable. The Mongolian beef "spicy" was American 1-star, I couldn't taste much, no ginger, tons and tons of onions. Very large portions but I'm not sure I even want to save it for later :( read more

We came in Christmas Eve The walnut shrimp and home style chow mein were very tasty. We are already planning our next visit. The owner was very friendly and provided great customer service. Happy to announce that Fu Shen is my new, go-to, old school Chinese-American spot and would recommend trying it out, even though it's in an odd neighborhood (where you wouldn't expect to find good Asian food) and does look like it's seen better days. The food is nostalgic and classic Cantonese (Southern Chinese) restaurant food that I haven't been able to find anywhere else in Seattle. Do you want hot and sour soup that's perfectly tangy with chunks of tofu and veggies? Do you want moo shoo pork, with long thin strips of saucy pork and veggies to pile atop thin pancakes and smother with hoisin sauce? Do you want many wok-made stir fry delights to spoon onto mountains of white rice? Great! Come to Fu Shen. We decided to eat in (rather than take out) on a Sunday and it was pretty quiet, though Fu Shen had a steady stream of take-out customers coming in to pick up orders to go. Our waitress (also the hostess / owner?) was friendly and super efficient and the peeks we got into the kitchen whenever she walked in and out confirmed that they were making our food to order, in giant woks, just like I had hoped. Food was tasty, not too greasy, flavorful and cooked well - not mushy in texture like some Chinese food that's been overcooked or just re-heated. Best Chinese food restaurant I've visited in the Seattle area yet! First, the restaurant is nestled on the side of Old 99, easily missed if you aren't paying attention. Next, upon walking inside you are transported back in time, in a very good way. The, yes, dated but quality interior decorations, including the tables and chairs, remind me of the great old Chinese restaurants I've visited in Chinatown NYC. Next, the super friendly service, imo, is another attribute of the restaurant that hearkens back to and older time. You can tell just by spying the collage of photos, of many different families behind the register, that this is a place that treats you like family. Finally, the food is fantastic. As I've shared, I've had the privilege to eat at a fair share of old school Chinese restaurants, one of my favorite, which sadly no longer stands, made amazing Cantonese dishes. The restaurant was opened by Canton immigrants, family friends of my spouse, back in the 70's. When we sat down at Fu Shen and tried a number of their dishes, from moo shu pork to kung pao chicken, I was instantly transported back to those fond memories of eating amazing home cooked Chinese food. In 2016, we made a reservation to come here on Christmas Day with a group of friends for our usual movie + Chinese food outing. We arrived with TWENTY-TWO friends to discover two tables were set for us in the elevated space, and after we sat down, hot tea and ice waters quickly followed. To clarify, we stopped in several days before to make our reservation. The owner suggested that we place our order ahead of time so they would be sure to have all the ingredients on hand. We also paid in advance and just collected from our friends to make the bill easiest on Fu Shen. Anyone that wanted drinks or anything additional just paid cash! Been here a few times and haven't been disappointed yet . The food is flavorful and the portions are good. Normally I end up taking some home. My favorite has to be the fried rice because it tastes so good and it's not oily like some places so after I eat I feel like I can do something. Of course I don't and end up watching Netflix but that's an unrelated issue. One thing that always gets me, however, is that they always seem to be closed for like a month in February and March. So friendly. :) The hot and sour soup is really tasty. Not too thick and a nice size. The BBQ pork appetizer tasted fresh and came with a hot mustard dipping sauce. The garlic beef and house chow mein were large portions and were really great. The beef was well done and nicely seasoned. The noodles came with an array of meats and seafood items.
