I pass Frosty's practically every day and I always see reviews popping up on my feed, so I finally decided to stop in. I didn't know much about Frosty's except that the serve fresh juices, tea and different types of coffee and espresso. They also serve food, but this review isn't about the food. When I was here, the first thing that struck me were the prices- they seemed a little steep for coffee and juice, but hey, maybe it's really good so I held off judgement. I decided to get the strawberry jasmine green tea without the tapioca balls in it. The nice man working rang me up and when the total came to nearly $6 I was a little shocked. That seemed a little pricey just for some flavored tea, but in for a penny in for a pound, I paid and gave it a shot. Well...okay...I get why their tea is a little more expensive. This tea is obviously made with super fresh strawberries and not a mix. I was excited about the fresh fruit flavor and the little chunks of strawberry in my tea. Talk about refreshing! It was almost like drinking strawberry juice. Also, the drink was really sweet (a good thing), so I was able to sip on it and stay cool for the rest of the afternoon. I enjoyed my drink so much, that I think I will have to start coming here fairly regularly. If you are looking for a refreshing and real fruit drink, and you aren't in the mood for a smoothie, this is definitely your place. read more

I'm from out of town and came here after hearing my local friends saying this is their favorite boba shop. I loved walking in and seeing fresh fruits while ordering. I got the mango smoothie with tapioca and I was surprised at how fresh and good it was. To be quite honest, it might be one of the best boba drinks I've ever had. The only place I go to to get a nice cup of bubble tea. I absolutely am in love with the Watermelon and Thai Tea out in this place. The food I've had once or twice and it's pretty okie. My mom actually works out in the kitchen here and when I am craving a cup of bubble tea I can just give her a quick call. A plus for me is having a mom who works here, she picks up on stuff too cook at home hehe. I sometimes come out to visit her and hang out with the workers. I know their fruit drinks are fresh and you can definitely taste it compared to others. The owners from the one out in Metairie are NOT the same just so people should know. As far as getting good tapioca in NOLA, Frosty's is as good as it gets! You get a large variety, and the drinks are always made with fresh fruits, not powders like other places. The avocado tapioca is probably the best here, even though I'm not a big fan of avocado. I usually get either the Thai tea or one of the other fruity drinks (Strawberry mango, mango peach, etc.) with tapioca and jelly. The drinks here are always refreshing, and the quality of the drinks are still great even though the bubble tea craze has long gone. Only downfall? Gets pretty darn pricey. It was almost 6 bucks getting a Mango Peach with tapioca and mango jelly. read more

Best bubble tea ever. My favorite flavors are green tea latte, taro, and green apple. Their tapioca is cooked properly unlike others. It's not too soft or not to hard. I LOVE FROSTY'S. They have the BEST bubble tea. They have almond milk so you can still have a creamy, dairy free boba tea. Just make sure the flavour you're getting does have casein powder in it, if that matters to you. The passionfruit and the hazelnut are my favourite. They also have magically delicious tofu spring rolls (fresh, not fried). You should go her as often as you can. And if you find something you really like, the sizes go up to a pretty gigantic level. I've been having boba craving for over a month, and I finally did a Yelp search to locate a place that serves boba. My review is biased, since I've had LOTS of boba in California. The Mecca of boba tea from Taiwanese people. I was super excited to try this place when I entered the parking lot. I ordered the taro milk tea, and it was one size that costs $5.25. There wasn't much options, like I couldn't choose how sweet I wanted my tea. But whatever, it was a simple menu. I then took my first sip, and it's pure sugar. There was no taro flavor, it was like a syrup they used. I will say that the boba was freshly made and in the right consistency of chewiness. Love love loveeeee this place! I used to go here all the time after school before I moved away for college. Every time I'm in town, I always come by for some bubble tea! This place is also convenient because I live right next to it (thank goodness!). I ALWAYS get the bubble tea here, and it always tastes awesome (my all-time favs: avocado, papaya with green jelly, and taro with lychee jelly). The tapioca here is like the perfect texture, I swear, and the perfect sweetness too. And there is such a huge variety of flavors! Consistently awesome! I despise powdered bubble teas. Frosty's uses nothing but fresh ingredients. The staff are also just as wonderful.

The only difference between this location and the one in Metairie on Cleary is the extra "F" in the name...and the TAPIOCA DRINKS! I prefer this location because it IS closer and they make the drinks better here. It's always packed and always busy, and if you happen to be stuck behind someone who orders 40 drinks, tough luck. That being said, their avocado shakes are consistently good, but I'm more of the regular milk tea or a strawberry lychee slushie kinda gal. It's always sweet and tangy enough to make me go OOH. Cleary can't make it the way Manhattan's got it down. A lot of people come here for the food, but I can't vouch for it. Tapioca, YAAY! read more

After going to the Clearly Ave. Frosty's Cafe I tried this one on the West bank specifically for the boba tea smoothie. Happy to say this place is just as good if not a tiny bit better.
