Tapioca! It's one of my weakness's. I haven't tried any of their food but their drinks are on point! The balls don't stick together. They're not that hard or soft. They have a slight taste to them without being too sweet. For some reason, a lot of places can't get that right (not just in N.O. but all over the U.S.) Balls that are just the right consistency and flavor, why go elsewhere? The liquid is not watery or super thick. I guess good balls are hard to come by, so come here for them. They have a knack for it at this little shop. Service is also pretty fast. P.S. Good food. But the employees are so rude for no reason. I call to make an order and ask specifics and they say "okay????" Like they do not care or explain further what's included or not included. Once before this I went in to pick up my food and the Chinese/ Vietnamese ladies stared me and my 4yr old daughter down for absolute no reason. We are always well mannered where ever we go. If you like sugar, this may be your place, but the tea was WAY too sweet for my taste... Yuck!

For starters, get the thai tea Frozen blended , not iced. You will like it if you are into sweet tea

They were about to close the first time we went there. We ordered the 32 oz tapioca smoothie. The texture was chalky but we decided to return a second time to see whether it was the situation or just the smoothie itself. We returned and not only was the texture the same, they barely gave us any tapioca for a 32 oz ($7 drink). We will not be visiting again. Maybe the other smoothies are good but I will not recommend the taro. read more

My favorite place to get some tapioca! My personal favorite is the peach jasmine tea with green apple and lychee jelly and pomegranate jasmine tea with lychee and tapioca. Also, i ate the eggrolls and chicken here and it was delishhh!! The service was fast and friendly staff :) I would definitely come back for more. read more

Frosty's is pretty awesome. Weird name for a Vietnamese restaurant, but it's still awesome. First off - the bubble tea - really hard to mess it up but they make them good. A lot of flavors, choices of mix-ins (tapioca pearls, fruit jelly, etc) - they also offer coffee and such. Bubble tea is pretty self explanatory by now. So now for the food - pretty awesome food for a great price. Standard cheap-on-the-go Vietnamese fare - pho, pho ga (chicken noodle soup), fried rice, chicken wings, noodle bowls - I would frequently order the pho ga which was pretty tasty and for under 5 bucks. Fried Rice was wok prepared and pretty tasty as well. Whenever I was in the Westbank visiting friends I would make a point to come here to grab a bubble tea at least or have a quick bite to eat. Always busy during the afternoon, especially after school lets out. I can't say much for the metairie location (i've never been) but if it's as good as this one, I'll visit that one too. read more

Went here just to grab a tea and ended up getting the shrimp and pork spring rolls as well. There is a large selection of bubble tea. I got the tia tea bubble tea iced and it was just as expected and delicious. The spring rolls were fresh and the portion was large enough to fill me up. Best boba tea in the city! Service is always quick & the boba teas are all delicious. I recommend the mango, Thai tea BLENDED or mango/peach flavors. The tapioca pearls are always a refreshing chewy. Frosty's Caffe has two locations, one on the Westbank and another on the Eastbank on Cleary Ave. Aaron M. and I went to this location after having dim sum at Panda King Fine Dining. All of the smoothies are delicious and the star on the menu notes the drinks are made with fresh fruit. Their drinks aren't quite as good as what you could find in San Francisco or New York, but I believe both Frosty's Caffe locations serve the best in the area. I've also had their food, but you can find better Vietnamese cuisine elsewhere. read more

I'm pretty picky when it comes to bubble milk teas. I really dislike the powdered artificial milk teas. This place uses real tea. Not too sweet, just perfect. We had the jasmine milk tea and the Thai tea. Both were excellent. Tapioca balls r of a good consistency, just the right amount of chewiness and sweetness. Although I go for drinks, I've never tried their food, which I hear is also simple, yet good. My favorite flavors for drinks are strawberry/watermelon with green apple jelly (no tapioca pearls), honeydew with lychee, blended Thai tea with tapioca, and strawberry/mango with lychee. Beware, they do charge extra for the jelly! It's .75 cents I believe. I just find that it fits better with fruit flavors. Overall, they never disappoint. This place is way much better than the one on Veterans. Vanilla latte and milk tea are always consistently good and are my absolutely favorites. The rocky is great as well. My go-to place to get bubble tea in the Westbank! I also get their fried chicken wings, which comes with fries, and the oyster po-boy - both taste pretty good.
