I'd give no stars if possible. Had service for less than a month. Equipment crashed. Tried troubleshooting with Russell online. Had me disassembling their equipment they mounted to my garage ceiling. Was told someone would have to come out. Earliest appointment was 4 days later because their new install appointments were priority. They would rather sell shitty service to new customers than provide good service for the current customers. Once appointment to repair was set, I was issued a warning that the repair might cost me money. Their faulty equipment and subpar installation might cost ME money. This company is a joke. I have never heard good things about frontier, but after my experience, with being harassed by a frontier rep in my apartment community, I would never ever give them my business. The rep harassed my husband, newborn and I in the afternoon and then walked by our door over the course of six hours, three different times walking up to our door and taking notes on the clipboard and her phone and was here on my property until almost 8 o'clock. That's harassing and disgusting behavior for a company to exhibit to try to get business and clearly shows you how quality of a service that they provide. We didn't even request them coming out and I would never ever ever give them business. I ended up having to call the cops because there's no reason somebody should be soliciting an apartment community where nobody wants their business and it's unsettling to have a frontier person monitor my apartment for hours..... read more

Frontier is the absolute worst internet provider and company. Do NOT sign up for their services. I was a customer for less than a month before I cancelled my services with them. I get that every telecommunications company whether it be cable, internet or cellular, has its issues. However, Frontier has more than issues, it has major problems. Let's start with their technicians. The gentleman who did my install not only used a refurbished WiFi router/modem, the software was out of date, thus obsolete. Also, I was getting booted off the internet at random times throughout the day which was causing problems with my work availability. I called Frontier to explain my issue and the customer service agent submitted a ticket to have another tech come out to my house. Turns out they sent two of them. The technicians noticed the older refurbished router and gave me a new one complete with a longer Ethernet cord. They relocated my router/modem to a higher altitude because they claimed it made a difference. Also, when the techs weren't contradicting each other, they both kept pushing me to try Google mesh technology. That was actually a decent piece of advice because I looked into it and it's a good system. So after these techs left, we expected to have no problems. WRONG!! That night, we experienced lag and our internet kicked us off again. It had nothing to do with the WiFi signal because I was HARD WIRED INTO THE MODEM!! Alas, their internet is horrible. The final straw was on 2/8. Whilst enjoying Hulu, the "connection error" screen appeared, then disappeared, then reappeared, then disappeared. I thought it may have been something wrong with my PS4. Nope, it was the internet service. My PS4 showed it was trying to connect, then stopped, tried to connect, then stopped just like on Hulu. Did I mention I was paying for the gig plan? Yep! Not only were these problems happening, I was paying for them to happen! How can they get away with treating customers that way? The days of only one internet options are over! Their customer service is BEYOND unhelpful. One of their techs cut off our internet. We called the company and they told us we had to wait over a week for an opening so someone could come fix it. I work from home.... But they "understand" how frustrating this can be. They also lied (via FB message) that there was an "escalation freeze" but the customer service rep we talked to on the phone said no - that wasn't what was happening. And i don't know why we would are made to wait days for a mistake one of your techs did. I wish we had another option but sadly this is it. read more

I work from home and I need a reliable ISP. Frontier is inconsistent and slow. I've had so many dropped Zoom calls. I think they slow it down on purpose, as their only solution is to "upsell" you to another, more expensive plan. I am shopping around for another provider. read more

I just moved into an apartment, and they fiberoptic cable is broken. They told me it would be fixed and I would have internet in about a week. It's been a week and a half, and no one can give me an answer on what is going on. They lie to me about what time the 3rd party contracter they hired closes, saying they cant contact them right now. They have scheduled several call backs, but never called. Tbey have scheduled for supervisors to call me back, but never called. Today i spoke to an extremely rude employee, Alyssa employee #862120, saying that I want to either speak to a supervisor, or cancel my service. And she REFUSED to do both. She just kept talking to me like I was stupid saying "what you don't want fast reliable internet? Who are you going to go with? Spectrum isn't reliable" with a condescending tone, until I just hung up. It's has been the absolute worst experience. read more

Frontier came out two months ago to install their fiber throughout the neighborhood. They ruined one of my sprinklers. I contacted them and they sent someone out and they confirmed they broke it. i Was told they were going to send a contractor out to fix it. After 2 weeks of not hearing from them or a contractor I called again and they said they would send someone asap. It's now been over two months. My sprinkler is still broken and getting ahold of them is almost impossible. I would like this fixed asap. And I would highly not recommend them to anyone. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced!!! Doesn't even deserve a star. On August 28th I set up an appointment to have Frontier come out and connect internet for us. I was scheduled for Monday August 31. Then on August 31st I get a voicemail stating that they need to confirm my appointment, so I call them back. The rep on the phone says that they cannot find my order number and can't see any scheduled appointment to set up service. She tried to reschedule me for September 5th but I said that was not ok because we were promised that we would have internet that day. I told her that my children were unable to attend school because our internet was not connected. Only after I pushed back did the rep all of a sudden change their story and said that she finally found my appointment, but said my appointment was for Wednesday, September 2nd. Exhausted by the conversation, I conceded to have internet installed 2 days later than what I was promised. They said the tech would come between 1pm - 4pm. Cut to September 2nd, I took a vacation day from work so that I could be home for the installation, but by 4pm no technician has shown up, so I get on Frontier chat and asked them why the tech hadn't arrived yet. I was told that there were "unforeseen circumstances that caused the technician not to be able to install" my internet. The rep then tried to push me to have my internet installed on September 9th. So now I've been pushed off 2 times, have lost a day of vacation/work, and my kids are being asked to miss school for an additional week! Frustrated, I asked to speak with a manager. That rep then escalated me to Jessica, and after speaking with Jessica for over an hour, I was told that they didn't have the ability to deliver the 500mb speed of internet that I ordered. Right then my chat was disconnected and I tried over and over to reconnect, but with no success. So I reload the Frontier.com website and connect to chat again. I get on with a rep and ask to be connected to Jessica and I'm told that she is in a meeting but they would connect me with Arnold. After getting nowhere with Arnold, I asked to speak with the manager of the manager and I was passed along to Giennah. I've now been speaking with them for 2.5 hours and I'm no closer to getting internet for my family that when I started and each person is pushing me to the back of the line instead of prioritizing my needs as a customer that has been rescheduled multiple times and was not notified of their inability to complete installation. Giennah leveled with me and indicated that their scheduling team/customer service team did not communicate with the technician team and so they missed the fact that I didn't have 500mb internet connected in my area. Giennah said I could file a complaint with their tech team but that would take 72 hours, so I pitched a fit again and magically, the technician team was able to call me the next morning, and she promised that I would hear from them no later than 12pm. I told her that if I didn't hear from her by 12pm, I was going to report them to BBB. It's now 2pm on September 3rd and no call, so I get on chat and am actually on chat with them right now and the rep just said that they "will schedule me for a call back." This is insane... How many times can I be lied to? Put off? Ignored? My kids are falling behind in their education because of their incompetence and inability to do what they keep promising me they will do. read more

If I could rate Frontier with NO stars I would. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 year and what they have done I can not even wrap my head around. I have tried several times to resolve an issue with Frontier over a phone bill. Back in January I cancelled by phone service which was a bundle package, January 18th I believe. Approx a week later, I noticed I still had phone service, I called Frontier and was told that my service would be cancelled the next billing cycle. With that being said, I assumed my service was paid until the next billing cycle. To my surprise, after being a loyal customer for over 20 years, I received a phone bill for $484.00. When I called I was bluntly told that my service was cancelled and that since I no longer was on a bundle plan I had to pay for long distance. Well, if I would have been told that initially, I would have never used my phone service which I thought was paid up until the next billing cycle. This is totally wrong for Frontier to allow a service that was cancelled, then tell the customer it would be cancelled the next billing cycle leading them to believe their service was paid up then allow charges without their knowledge. I can not tell you how disappointed I am in Frontier that I will now be seeking out other service else where. To conduct business in that way, and now especially during times like this is got to be the most absolutely poorest way of service. The money is really not the issue here, its the way Frontier conducted themselves allowing a service that was CANCELLED!!!!! I agree the phone calls were made from my phone I take total responsibility for that and even suggested that Frontier absorb half the cost but I was told in no certain term, Frontier could not help me out period. Sad, very poor customer service and what is even sadder, is the fact that you as a business assume NO responsibility to your customers. I am seeing the other reviews and I couldn't agree more. One star is way too much for this company. First they start charging $4.00 for a printed bill which I had opted out of and then the representative said it was stated on the bill. Ya, on the last page of the bill in tiny type in the middle of a paragraph in the corner. I spent two and a half months trying to get this fixed and then got a $3.00 discount. My internet always shows up as "low speed" on my TV and computer. I spent over an hour trying to cancel this worthless piece of crap and then was told since I was cancelling 3 days into my billing cycle I was responsible for an entire month plus a $20 equipment fee. This has been the absolute worst company I have ever had to deal with. Between trying to get a customer representative on the phone or on their "chat" is nothing short of a nightmare and the attitude of their people leaves more than a little to be desired. This is the worst service i have ever dealt with. The internet is much slower than the speeds i paid for first of all. When I called to cancel my service in November they never sent the box to mail the equipment so i called back to find out where the box was because i was moving and they told me they had no record of my cancelling service.. i have them my confirmation number which they basically said didn't matter because there was nothing in their records. So after going back and forth the representative basically ignored the issue and just cancelled the service that day and acted like there was nothing she could do and that i was still gonna get charged for another month. I asked to speak to someone above her and she said it's monday and they were too busy. I wish i had read reviews before switching.. I'm sure the people in charge of this company cannot sleep at night because of the poor service and low accountability of their service agents. Frontier Communications let me down as a POTENTIAL customer. I say potential because my service has not yet been installed before I knew they were disappointing. I ordered cable/internet service and expected install on Aug. 15th. On the day of installation I waited for a tech but no one called or came to my residence. It wasn't until I called customer service that they mentioned my installation would need to be moved to a different date because the techs needed a certain part for the 500/500 internet service. New install date was set for Sept. 5th but same result. I had to call customer service for an install update and they said it's because so many people are ordering 500/500 internet service. They said they could install 200/200 service quicker but would require another credit check. However, how does this explain my cable not being installed? It's been too much of a run around before service has even started. I can only imagine how the experience may be while doing business. I will stay with my current cable/internet provider. Recommendation: if your company cannot execute on promotions, products and services don't tell your customers you can. This sets false expectations. Completely disappointed with Frontier! First of all, it took 2 chats and 3 phone calls for them to finally tell me that they do not provide service at my new address. This included them telling me I would hear from them, in which I never did AND them asking me to contact THEM to confirm that they have me on their schedule. In addition, they do not offer prorated bills so I can't have service until I've moved. Mind-boggling how a modern company handles this. This doesn't include the many phone calls and technicans it took to actually get the service installed. Highty recommend against using this company if you can. read more

I"ve been a customer of Verizon/Frontier for over 14 years. I was a former bundled customer, but dropped home phone and TV, because of their price gauging of current (loyal) customers. I am paying $69/mo for internet speeds of UP TO 75/75. New customers are offered $39.99/mo for 500/500. I called and asked to get my speed increased and price lowered, and they offered me 100/100 for $54/mo with the same restrictions as a new customer (12 mo contract). See any disparity?? The best part is; I would need to pay an "installation specialist" $85 to come out and install the new upgraded service and modem. I told her I didn't need that, as my service is already installed and plugging in a modem is mindless. She said I didn't have the option to not have the install fee. I told the "retention" rep, this was ridiculous and I wouldn't agree to it. She said, "none of it?" Um...No!! She went through her spiel about providing customer service and answering my questions, and I said "no, you didn't." Then she had the gall to thank me for my loyalty when I was hanging up. Her hands are clearly tied by the greed and common practices of this industry! Someone in the cable/internet industry needs to change this practice. It doesn't equate to loyalty; rather company hopping! They value new customers over loyal current customers. Is there any company out there who is consistent and legit in their pricing plans? We live in south Denton. Service has been out from Wednesday morning to present (Friday evening). Four days. Un able to reach anyone to find out what is going on, when it will be fixed or even a human to talk to. After researching on line, this not an isolated incident but a standard. I will be doing the only thing I can which is to drop service and go with someone else. The big question is why are our elected officials not addressing such a derelict of a essential utility service we all rely on???? I came home today and my internet and phone were down. I called their customer service and they were very unprofessional, and said that they could only get someone out to me to fix my internet and phone in 12 days. So ridiculous! This is a horrible company. When I was on the phone I asked Shelly (the lady who took my call), if I can speak to the supervisor, and she said "ok", waited a second and said "NO"...and hung up the phone. Such a bad experience... They sent me this text "FRONTIER: We apologize you're having trouble and appreciate your patience. Your ticket number is -------. Your scheduled appt is 9/23/2019." So Frontier replied to my post by saying their cancellation policy is written in their Terms of Service and the fact that we agreed to the Terms of Service meant that we knew about their cancellation policy beforehand. Well let me tell you that their Terms of Service document is 24 pages long and this terrible cancellation policy is embedded somewhere in there. If Frontier was really concerned that all new subscribers knew about this terrible cancellation policy they would include it in bold letters on their website so ALL potentially new subscribers would see it. read more

If I could give Frontier a negative number, I would. Their service stinks and they engage in false and misleading advertising quite frequently. For example the company is currently running a promotion for WiFi service for $39.99/month (supposed to be for 500/500 Mbps, but I only was able to get less than 100 Mbps). Also, the fine print says that there will be equipment charges ($10/month) for a router - I assumed for a router owned by Frontier so I purchased a router that works with the other Frontier equipment. Frontier billed me for the additional $10/month even though I was using my own equipment. When I called to complain about the charges, I was told that I had to pay the fee even though the equipment was mine. What a ripoff - why didn't Frontier advertise the true cost of the service - $49.99/month? read more

Frontier Communications has been stealing from my retired veteran parents for a year now. They were charging my parents $80 for 3Mbps internet speed when Frontier regularly charges $40 for 50Mbps internet speed. We are talking about a huge speed difference and being charged twice the amount as well. $400 over the course of a year. Frontier would not admit any fault for overcharging my parents for such slow speed. This company will steal from senior citizens because seniors don't understand internet speeds as well. I talked with Executive Customer Relations and they would not budge and said it's not their fault my senior parents didn't understand they were throttled to lower speeds and paying double as well. I just had the service installed Jan 3, 2020 and one of the boxes is not working properly and there is a message that says its not authorized to be in my home. I called the HORRIBLE customer service department and spoke with someone named "carla" she supposedly troubleshooted with me and NOTHING was resolved after 30 minutes in which I will never get back. I asked for a supervisor and none was available and she refused to give me anything to identify her common name. How convenient! I hung up and called back and got someone named "ray" he was no help either. I explained to him ya'll have an unauthorized box in my home and I want a tech here to switch them out. After being placed on the hold abyss, ray says he will send me a box to return the box I have. I then said aren't you going to replace the box I'm sending back and he acted completely bewildered as if I spoke another language and says, oh I thought you wanted the box removed. I'm like of course I do but freakin replace it!!!! I'm currently looking for another service this ONE experience was horrible. I'm just sooooo disappointed. And we just got the service. read more

I have had frontier communications for 2 years. The service was not so great so i had to cancel. I canceled before my next billing cycle so the representative spoke to me and told me that i would receive a letter in the mail and someone would call me to state my new balance since i canceled early. Literally 2 months late i didn't hear fro anyone so i called back to wait on hold for 30 MINUTES!!! Finally, i spoke wit someone and they stated they saw the notes in the system and i should hear something within the next couple of day. A MONTH later i received a call stating my account was going into collections because no actions has been made on the account. i asked the account representative did she see any notes. she stated she saw nothing under my account. I told her what the previous representative stated and she stated there was nothing they could do. i wouldn't recommend this service to anyone!!!! Be warned, this company is a SCAM! I cancelled service on 10/22 because I was moving on 10/23, which I explained to the representative. I was promised a QR code to return equipment, it never came. I have called, emailed, sat on hold and spoken with 8 different representatives, in regards to returning their equipment, ONE modem. On 10/26, I received an email stating that FedEx boxes were delivered to the address I moved out of. I was so confused, these people are lacking the skillset to do this job. On 10/26, I contacted Frontier AGAIN. It is now 11/8 and I have made every attempt to return their equipment, I have requested either a QR code, FedEx boxes to be sent to my new address or an address that I can send the equipment to, I have received none of the above. Even when I offered to pay for the shipping myself, I was denied an address to ship the modem to. At this point, I am becoming concerned, as other reviews indicated that this type of behavior is common practice on their part, behavior in which they do not provide a means for equipment return, then charge customers $200 for the non-return of modems that are valued at $50. read more

I have had the worst service for repair ever with this company. After the road construction crew cut our internet line on Monday, I was given a repair time of almost 2 weeks away. With much discussion the rep promised he would change it to 3 days which was today with an 8-12 window. No one showed or called- I called at 12:15 then 2pm then 4:30. With 3hours on the phone- (once getting hung up on after 45 minutes) - a rep in San Antonio told me to wait all day tomorrow to see if someone would call 30 minutes prior to coming to repair and If no one came all day - they would surely probably call me tomorrow evening. If I didn't hear anything from them then I was told I should call Saturday morning. This evening I received a text saying they will be here next Wednesday. Each time you call you get a different rep who has to hear the whole story again. What's even worse is the road construction crew cut our line in June also and we were without internet for 2 weeks of which when we asked for a credit in our bill - they are still reviewing it. Frontier wants your money as a customer but does not put keeping your service going as a priority. At least not in my last 2 experiences. read more

Where do I began? I initially changed cable providers due to the rising cost of charges that I incurred after the promotion ended. I really liked them because I had no issue with the actual service just the charges just going up and up. Nevertheless I switched over to Frontier and low and behold it has been a NIGHTMARE since. It started from day one with the un knowledgeable customer service rep. Quoted me one price but got the bill it was way higher. I even advised them to go back to the recorded previous conversation and seemingly they did and my account and was finally credited back but because I didn't pay on time that HIGH OVERCHARGE I was unable to get the $250 gift card. I was totally pissed and decided to stop services especially since my kids was about to gone and I didn't need the internet. So after a few months and I went back. The customer service rep, advised I had a old bill of $22 that need to be paid and then said a deposit. I was like wait a minute now.... Went back and forth so then I ended of having to pay $86 to start back and the services was $39.99 with a $10 modem charge. Fast forward to first bill $93. These ppl done slapped me with a service fee of $75 broke up installments for a technician to come out because the DUMB A** rep put the wrong address in. She had the wrong appt number. When the tech came of course he went to wrong place. Luckily he and I was communicating via text and phone and finally he said the apt number and I was like you at the wrong apt. So he said that's the issue. He placed a note on the account and said all it needed was to be switched back on. I got NO NEW MODEM, or ANYTHING just switched back on. Then in all that time only 1 light was on the modem which was the WiFi light. Called several times about my bill and to the date still waiting on a credit. Was on hold for HOURS being constantly being transferred only to speak with someone name Heather who supposedly been the lead Supervisor to HANG up on me while explaining to her and she's over talking me to say no credit will be given because I got the highest speed that requires a technician to come out to install new equipment WHICH NEVER HAPPENED, never got anything new. She never called back. Called back again and was not able to get a sup back on the line but was transferred to the service department is when they did a lil diagnostics and turned the lights that was NEVER on, on the modem on. Truly pissed off. I will he reaching out to the president of the company. read more
