Who loves cheesesteak!? How cool is to walk into the shop with the automatic sliding door. Love it! Both the staff and the management were super friendly. Great service. Clean and nice ambiance. They have both seating inside and outside. Ordered Chicken Philly, root beer drink and sweet krimpet. Food was delicious.

Always drive by this place on my way to the 73, and I finally decided to grab a bite. I was not in the mood for a cheesesteak so I went for the Italian. It was full of spice and flavor. Good size and good taste. This a good spot for a sandwich. I will come back and try the cheesesteak next time.

Super good sandwiches and fries! Not a lot of seating and parking so be mindful! They were quick and friendly. Food was super hot and yummy!

The cheese steaks whether you get regular or chicken one or very good just a little high in my book full size is 15 dollars and a lot of times you got to wait quite a bit to get it

My tuna hoagie put me in a food coma for a few days! It was packed with tuna, the perfect cheese, and great bread. The Cheesesteak is the reason I came. Their service guided me to tasty options. Inside the restaurant is all Philly!

I'm no expert in Philly cheese steak sandwiches but there is another Philly sandwich spot near by that in my opinion, From Philly's sandwich takes the crown. I love all the cheese, the bell peppers and mushrooms inside, it was soo juicy, and packed with flavor. The restaurant itself is clean and well maintained and the service was good. Love love love

I decided to try this place out after seeing it on Grubhub and I'm glad I gave it a shot! I ordered the Philly cheesesteak fries and the old world Italian sandwich. When I went to pick it up, I was greeted by friendly staff who gave me my order quickly. The food was fantastic! The Philly cheesesteak was so flavorful on the fries and the sandwich was great. I think next time I would try a Philly cheesesteak sandwich but the old world Italian was tasty. The fries were the real star. The portion was huge and I'm definitely looking forward to trying their other items.

Saw it from the street so had to stop in. Nice staff and a great cheese steak. Ill be stopping in again to try other sandwiches

In plain site, this place can not be missed. I mean the food, the location, the service, and the manager. It has seating inside and outside to relax. The cold subs are just as good as the PhillySteak sandwiches. The cold sub was the Old World Italian. The Full is ginormous filled with layers upon layers. You just need to experience it! The hot sub was the Traditional Philly Cheesesteak ..... LOADED! The Full is exactly how you will feel (actually beyond full) after finishing this delectable, FANtastic, and gigantic sub. Hands down, one of the best, if not the best, locally in OC. Highly recommend trying either of them and judge for yourself. If you're a vegetarian or vegan eater, salads are an option, but this place is mainly meat protein, sorry! Happy Cheeeeessssseeeesteak and Fight On!

I'd recommend Franks Philly or Philly's Best over this place. I had the small original and it was average at best.

The Chicken Philly is scrumptious. I like mine without bell peppers. Fair price for fair amount of food. Their bread is great too!

Ask the Community - From Philly

Previous versions of the menu listed mayo on their #1 cheesesteak (w/onions, peppers, mushrooms), later versions don't list mayo but I thought I tasted a light amount today, do they still put mayo?

    No I don’t believe so!

This might be a wierd question to ask. But do they offer cheese wiz as a option for their cheesesteaks?

Yeah no wiz but I'd certainly ask. It's always sad to see a cheesesteak place without it =(

For some weird reason, despite all the Philly cheesesteak places in California, you rarely see…read morerestaurants that offer one of the classic Philadelphia cheese options: good old Cheez Whiz. I know Cheez Whiz is not for everyone, since it has a very unique flavor and texture compared with something like American or provolone. Thankfully, Philly's Best provides that option when you want a Philly cheesesteak, and you can even mix and match multiple cheeses. One thing I like to do is mix provolone with Cheez Whiz for a unique, more Philly-style taste. Otherwise, I think the cheesesteak is fine in terms of the meat, bread, and cheese combination, but I do not think it tastes as good or as fresh as Jersey Mike's or several other local places that offer hot Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. That said, I like going to Philly's Best when I am specifically looking for that Cheez Whiz taste, and that is honestly the main reason I would recommend going here.

If you're in the mood for a delicious Philly cheesesteak and even some nice cold cuts, Phillys best…read morehas got you covered! For the hot sandwiches, I HIGHLY recommend eating it then and there. There's enough room inside for bigger parties, and even though it's still good, we felt that the cheesesteak should be eaten more fresh. If you're looking for tons of meat, they don't skimp here, and one sandwich is perfectly fine for a hungry couple :)

Must say the Philly's Best Cheesesteak is one of the BEST if not the best. Bob and Andrea, thanks…read morefor creating such an awesome Philly experience. Located on Barranca, the staff were welcoming and friendly. A very robust menu. Hot and cold sandwiches, Herr chips, Dutch Birch beer, and Tastykakes! ..... If this is your FIRST visit to a Philly's Best, I highly recommend researching the online menu (no mobile app) at https://eatphillysbest.com/ ..... Read About Us I ordered Philly's Best bcz I wanted to try it, with everything in it. Worth the extra $1 to have the full experience. Taste? The Amoroso roll was soft and light; steak was chopped and tender mixing well with the onions, sweet peppers (that were sweet and slightly tart), and mushrooms. I've had a few Philly Cheesesteaks in LA and OC. The BEST cheesesteaks I find come from owners who grew up in Philly, forget the rest including bigbox and fastfood types (these are imitators), they don't compare. Authentic Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches should be "overfilled" with ingredients and "messy" falling apart in your hands. (I compare it to The Hat pastrami, if you know what I mean.) The only drawback at this location was how it smelled when you opened the door. More like cleaning liquids than food smell (I literally had to hold my breath while entering), but eventually went away. I WILL definitely come back or one of the other 19 locations in Southern California. Highly recommend trying at least once. Happy Eating and Fight On !!!!

Well, if I want a ground beef sandwich, I know where to come…read more I hadn't eaten here in around a year because the last time I did, I was disappointed with the quality and taste issues with both the cheesesteaks and the fries that accompanied the seeming change in management. The cheesesteaks that used to be full to the brim had then been stingy and the fries reeked and tasted of oil that had been reused wayy too many times. To add insult to injury, the prices had jacked up a ton. But, before hitting a road trip, we decided this would be one step above fast food so decided to give this place another shot. Huge mistake. Somehow, and at some point, someone decided that the steak that goes inside the cheeseSTEAK could be swapped with what looks, tastes, and feels like ground beef. True story. From the crumbly texture when chewing, the watery taste that could stem from what I think was a hurried attempt to semi-boil and/or thaw frozen meat, and the fact that 25% of the meat fell every time I took a bite, I'm almost certain they are using ground beef. At a minimum, it is clear they switched their meat and it is not for the better. I can only speculate that it was in response to complaints of stingy meat because they had filled our sandwiches to the brim with this meat. Unfortunately I'm going to be permanently removing this from my list of food options. This experience has even compelled me to write a review when I have not in quite some time. Wow.
