    Loaded Fries
    Cheyenne G.

I came today for lunch with my daughter and the loaded fries looked so tasty, so I ordered that. I was disappointed in the unseasoned fries that were already cold when I started eating it! I guess I got fries just sitting there and they put cooked chicken on top. Look... it's not all the way good if some of the food is cold. My daughter ordered the big sando and enjoyed it. We also ordered the Mac and cheese and it was sooo cheesy! The vibe is nice and the service was cool.

Portions are HUMUNGOUS - my bf and I could only finish the loaded fries. We had to take the nuggets home Service was great, they brought the food tray out to our table. Super nice

Bred is definitely one of the better chicken tender spots in Orange County. The chicken is cooked to order, always fresh, and the spice levels are spot-on. Plus, it's a great option if you prefer Halal, since the chicken is Halal-certified. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the sides. The potato salad is a bit runny, and the mac and cheese lacks flavor. If they improve the sides, this could easily be a 5-star spot.

    Loaded Fries

Loaded fries were crispy and well seasoned. Sugar honey sweet tea also great and not too sweet. Fast service, clean, lots of seating.

Bred Hot Chicken is located at the LAB in Costa Mesa. Ordering is done via self kiosk and fairly easy to use. The space is clean and plenty of seating available. They have a huge tv and play some solid music. The food is pretty pricey as all sides are an extra addition. I ordered chicken sliders ($13.50) and did a side of Mac n cheese ($7.50). The sliders were decent size but felt like they were lacking in flavor. Maybe I needed a spicier level. Otherwise, the Mac n cheese was delicious and highlight of my meal. Service is self serve ordering through a kiosk but food was ready in a decent amount of time.

We found the spot walking around the lab and decided to try it. It was open late at night and we decided to try the loaded chicken fries and a chicken sandwich. If and whenever in the area would definitely try it again I recommend the chicken sandwich. It was nice and juicy. I liked the loaded chicken fries a lot better too because it had fries and sauce with coleslaw.

Usually I'm indifferent about hot chicken places I've tried in SoCal but Bred brought the heat! Dropped by after trivia night at Bootlegger's and enjoyed the flavor of my medium spice juicy chicken tenders. Pickles were brined to perfection. Crinkle cut fries could use a lil' more salt but that's an easy fix. Mac 'n cheese at these spots are a hit or miss for me but their white cheddar mac 'n cheese was a HIT.

2 piece chicken tenders with THE BEST french fries!

It was love at first bite. With so many fried chicken places, sometimes it's hard to distinguish what separates one from the other. Bred Hot has been around for a couple years now and I couldn't be happier. Situated at the entrance of The Lab Anti-mall, you cannot miss the bright, red Bred Hot Chicken neon sign as you drive in. There are kiosks to order at when you walk in and the staff have always been upbeat and friendly. The cooks are great & the owners are sweet as pie. I love the service here. The two piece chicken tenders are so delicious and just as they should be - tender, moist and juicy. My favorite dipping sauce is the comeback sauce (similar to thousand island, but better) which you have two options regular (clear) or spicy (black). The spicy version definitely packs some heat! Be ready to have a glass of water next to you & extra napkins to blow your nose. And, if you're a fan of crinkle cut fries, they've got THE BEST! Their fries are crispy, golden, buttery and probably my favorite thing on the menu. Sometimes I find myself coming here just for their french fries and the best part is they're open late. Perfect for some late night munchies when you want fresh, tasty crinkle cut fries. Waaaaay better than Del Taco which is a guilty pleasure. Parking can be an issue at the anti-mall at times, but I've never had a problem. There's also a takeout parking spot(s) if you didn't want to dine in. Either way, totally worth it just for the fries alone. Don't take my word for it. Just go and try it! Highly recommended.

Had a quick lunch with my daughter here and she picked the spot. I'm glad because food was amazing. Be prepared to wait a little longer than other places but you're getting fresh delicious, crunchy yumminess! Service exceeded my expectation as I was asked numerous times if there was anything else. The service made the place feel a lot more than it is. It's not a fast food restaurant in the sense that food is fresh but you do have to use the self order kiosk. Not too hard to use. Price, well it's not a cheap place but it's not the most expensive. The workers made you feel welcome. Location feels inviting and inside it feels welcoming. Did I mention they sell beer? YAY! Who doesn't want a cold beer with great fried chicken?

We have come back again and again and tried a couple different things, sandwiches, loaded fries, tenders, sauces, all great. Not greasy, not overcooked, just enough breading, always tasting great!

Ordered the loaded fries and millionaire mac and cheese and it was really filling for two people. You can choose the spice level for chicken, and I think mild was too mild for me this time. Lots of great options for great prices! The service was friendly and there was lots of seating available. I want to come back to this place to try more of the menu!

Plenty of seating and cool decor that fits The LAB's artsy vibe. Always able to find a spot, even when it's busy.

Bred Hot Chicken at The LAB is a go-to for bold flavor and serious comfort food. The chicken is juicy, crispy, and seasoned right. I love that you can choose your spice level--makes it easy to order for both adults and kids. The waffle is next level. Rich, buttery, and full of flavor even before the syrup hits. I usually get the 3-strip combo with waffle, and it's enough to split with one or two people--or power through solo if you're hungry. Online ordering is easy, pickup is quick, and seating is generous--I've always been able to find a spot, even when it's busy. The location's great. The LAB itself is always a fun place to people-watch, explore, and take in the eclectic decorations. The whole setup at Bred just fits--laid-back, a little artsy, and right in line with the vibe of the center. P.S. Kids love the no-spice option. Waffles never miss.

Bred was a lot better than what I was expecting. It's located in The Lab Anti-Mall which is a really cute location. The space inside the restaurant was also clean and the service was fair. For food, I ordered the slider chicks and fries. For spice level, I ordered spicy, which is the second highest. The spice level was perfect. It wasn't too spicy, it was a satisfying burn so it lives up to its description on the menu. The chicken strips they give are big and I loved it. There's a lot of meat and it was also juicy and crunchy. The fries were standard, they lacked seasoning, but I came here for the chicken sandwiches anyway.

They got bought out years ago & cut my sandwich from the menu. Had to get a chicken bacon ranch club on a waffle & hold the ranch. It was a far cry from that & tasted like Carl's Jr. (who also cut my favorite bbq chicken salad from their menu). Everything is more unhealthy & focused on cutting costs. Every time a restaurant gets bought out, it changes for the worse. The whole world has as every year goes by & especially since the Pandemic. I cud go on forever about this. But no one cares. I can't find anything I love anywhere anymore. I spend countless hours in an endless search for quality stuff that's got something sort of close to what I'm looking for and it's always a struggle trying to adjust & having to ask if they can do what they used to. The answer is usually no & if they even offer to try it's never as good as it used to be. Definitely not worth $30 for a chicken waffle sang & a shake. The cookies & cream was too heavy on the cream, so it just tasted like an inside of an oreo, which isn't my preference/balanced, & they put whipped cream, even tho she asked & I said no whip. The girl walked away right after I got to the takeout counter. So I waited until she came out with a bag of trash & there was no sorry/thanks for waiting. She saw me waiting & just said "Pick up order" & when she brought my shake I said it's not supposed to have whip. I said "This is mine?" She said "Yeah." Again, no sorry & I said "I guess I'll just have to scrape it off. Ok thanks." Happens every time, so I just expect it. I used to work at this mall for over 10 years about 13 years ago & every single thing has changed. Haven't heard of any of the stores except the staples. Felt like I was on another planet. Don't understand how they have a fancy-ish restaurant in a place with such high rent. I don't get it. Super disappointed & now I know it's not worth my time, money, energy, & gas! Miss the old Bruxie once again. Don't know why I even bothered. Just going to have to recreate the sang myself if I ever want it again, which wud be a huge pain. Every single thing is like this. This world seriously sucks. Not a fan.

At face value, a cheeseburger from TK Burgers really isn't anything special, I gotta admit. However, once I sunk my teeth into it, I was actually really impressed. Delicious charbroiled patty, fresh produce at all the right ratios, and the best part to me? The bun. At first I thought the bun was going to be dry as a bone and crumbly, but it's actually soft.
