This review only pertains to their food, okay scratch that, make it burgers only. I was taken to this place last week where I spent the weekend in Davis. My friend raved about how great their burgers were and were hyping it u as the days were coming closer. I honestly didn't want to have overly high expectations for this place, but after eating there not only once that weekend but TWICE, I definitely believe that my friend was spot on when he said their burgers are awesome. Their burgers are juicy and cooked to exactly the way you order it. You get exactly the correct portion for the price you are paying. I left eating way too much but it felt so good. The fries were delicious and fried to goodness. The two times I went I ordered the Swiss N' Shroomer burger with an add-on of avocado spread. This is a must try burger if you love swiss cheese and mushrooms. They don't skimp out on mushrooms like other restaurants and the amount of mushrooms they give you. Each mushroom slice is a hearty bite sized piece and they give you a good handful on each burger. My mouth is literally watery as I am typing this. The only thing I wish they had was an avocado or guacamole burger. They have avocado spread which is like barely any avocado and you can barely taste it in your burger. Other recommendations of other burgers that my friends ordered were the Cajun Burger and the Southwest burger? Can't remember the exact name but if you go and look at the menu and see something within the lines of it, try it! This is by far one of my favorite burger places that I have tried and favorite place to eat at when I am in Davis. Definetly will not be coming back to this bar. Our server Karen was great but the bartender named Elenna was rude, and had a great deal of attitude. It was our friends 28th birthday and our group consisted of 10 people. 3 of us had ordered Martinis which took about 15 minutes to finally come out- they tasted horrible and were dark yellow, so we sent them back. Well the remake of the first ones came out and looked and tasted even worse. We sent those back. The bartender then proceeded to come to the table and inform us that she just "wasted" a half bottle of Tito's and she doesn't drink martinis.. Once she went back to the bar top I followed her and told her to hold off making the martinis for a third time she turned around and said... Oh, I'm not!" Not once did she apologize throughout this whole situation. Maybe she needs to be retrained and go to some classes on handling "difficult" situations with customers without being rude. As a UCD student/bar fly, I was here every week the night Coldshot played. It was crowded with baseball caps and flip flops, and drunk people singing classic rock songs and requesting Sublime. They never played Sublime. It wasn't until I was a working professional that I really appreciated this place. My friend's house was so hot during scorching Davis summer days that we HAD to go to a bar for air conditioning, and thus resulted to our alcoholism. Happy hour prices of $3 wells and delicious chicken strips was my meal for three months straight. Every now and then I ordered a burger, and trust me they are very delicious. The waitress was always on top of her shit, and attentive to our table. Or maybe it was because we had become such regulars that she would ask our usual, "Whiskey Coke?" before we sat down. But like all college towns, people graduate or just move away, and they move on. But Froggy's is always a place where I can get good service and food whenever I stop into town to catch up with old friends. read more

It is hard to understand how someone who only serves hamburgers either doesn't care to make it right or does not know how. I would say one of the worst meals in last 5 years. The owner and staff have been extremely helpful and friendly every time I come in for a meal or drinks. The service is prompt, the burgers are great, and the drinks are great for the price point. Froggys is one of my favorite spots in Davis. It is never too crowded for meals however bar nights, especially Friday's for karaoke can get packed so just keep that in mind if that isn't your scene. read more

Came here with my two girlfriends and the girl Danny told us we couldn't split our check because it's to much work and there boss doesn't allow it. We asked to speak to there manager and she says "our manger isn't here right now but there's an atm right there" oh really???? Who is running the business then?
