Hello winner, winner chicken dinner! I may have just found some of the best chicken in Virginia! Frito Chicken in Ashburn, Virginia has quality fresh made halal chicken. So good! They also have poutine, rotisserie chicken and more. Each order is made fresh and so I did have to wait a little bit but it was definitely worth the wait. My fried chicken came out piping hot. It was so crispy. It definitely was a winner. I also got a side of rice pilaf. The rice pilaf was ok but nothing special. I honestly was regretting not getting the poutine instead. A couple seated near me got the poutine and I was definitely wishing I got it too. It looked so good and was smothered with gravy. The best thing here is definitely the chicken! They have rotisserie chicken too if you're not a fan of fried. ⁣

My faves were the Spicy Chicken Burger and the Mango Milkshake. Check out some of their menu items that we got to try: Spicy Chicken Burger - THESE ARE THICK AND HUGE! Literally like 2 chicken tenders stuffed in there. This sandwich could be enough for two people, or two meals! Mixed Fried Chicken - So crispy and juicy! I was surprised! I just wish they weren't very greasy. Honey BBQ and Buffalo Chicken Wings - super saucy and tasted best when fresh and hot. My fave flavor was the Honey BBQ. Sides: Plantains and Fried Rice PRO TIP: mix some of Frito's in-house hot sauce in the rice. It's spicy but with lovely extra flavor. But too much could burn your mouth off Mango Milkshake - sweet and fruity topped with whipped cream. If you like Mango Lassi (mango yogurt drink), you'll like this one! My only negative comment is that the manager was not wearing his mask when serving my brother and I. Please really enforce COVID safe practices, and wear your mask when serving and talking to your customers and fellow employees.

Picked up some chicken while in the area. It was still hot and crunchy after the 35-minute drive home. The chicken is good with only a little bit of spicy, which I enjoyed.

This is my 4th and probably the last time visiting the place. We ordered half chicken and 3 chicken burgers for the kids. Unfortunately found chicken feathers on the half chicken. The burgers are made with chicken tenders. I don't know why they call it burger. The halal chicken tenders the same one you can buy from restaurant depot and make chicken sandwiches. I told them about the feather and how the burgers are made but the guy did not even care. Ohh the side rice was old from previous day which anyone can tell. This is not a honest business logic and I will definitely avoid the place.

ASHBURN, VA 12/06/18 TAKE-OUT DINNER +My 3-piece (white) chicken-only order (5.99+tax) was cooked to order, even though they had a breast sitting in the warmer. The employee could have easily just cooked 1 wing and 1 breast, and used the old breast under the heat lamp to fulfill the order but opted to make it all fresh! +The chicken stayed crispy even after my 15-20 minute ride home. +The chicken had a nice little spicy kick to it. -The chicken was a bit salty to mine and my significant other foodie's liking. -No loyalty rewards program, even though they use a Clover POS register. -They utilize/offer the same sauces as they do for the rotisserie chicken. It would be nice if there was a separate sauce for the fried chicken. Overall, I would return to try some other options. Go check this place out!

This review is for their fried chicken. Very good, juicy and cooked perfectly. Only thing i didn't like was the wait time when you go in person and order because it seriously took forever. Spent all my lunch break just waiting. So i suggest to call ahead and then pick it up. Also the green beans is bland and boring. Please make it like southern style and put some flavor:) Other than that, Fried chicken is the bomb.

Frito Chicken, let me count the ways. Sadly I have been planning on coming here and today was the day as some coworkers and I decided to grab a group lunch and watch some soccer. We were greeted as soon as we stepped in the door. The first thin I noticed was the prices on the menu. My eyes may be deceiving me but I recall seeing a post of their menu back from May or so and the prices for some items were cheaper than what was presented today but hey, you gotta pay to lay right? As I went to move closer to the counter, all I could hear is my foot slowly detaching itself from the floor................ why on earth is the floor so sticky? Now that is a turn off, but I digress.......... We decided to order two whole roasted chickens which I do appreciate that they cut up for us in to the standard chicken cuts. You get two sides with each so we did fries and fried rice. The dried rice, I mean fried rice, I've had better it was dry and bland as if it were recycled from what was not sold the day before. The fries were good, nicely seasoned and cooked well but there just was not enough for everyone to share, the portion side with a whole chicken could have been a little heftier. We also got honey barbecue wings which actually were good. No complaints there. We asked for extra sauces since we had two whole chickens and the lady who bagged the food initially gave us two white and two green sauces for two whole chickens, how is that supposed to work out? We have to play spin the sauce to see who can actually get sauce? that was not going to work we asked her for more sauce and she acted as if she did not hear us. Okay no problem, we asked the other young lady at the counter if we could have more sauces because we obviously had a lot of chicken, she was nice enough to hook us up. The whole time i thought about coming back to try the fried chicken but I am not convinced I need to give Frito Chicken another visit. After this experience, I may be one and done.

Such a delicious food find in Ashburn! There are very few place I know that offer fried chicken and Peruvian-style flavors, and fewer that are also halal. Frito chicken's flavorful, juicy fried chicken and fried chicken sandwich are a MUST HAVE. We also tried yuca fries as a side and their oreo and mango milkshakes for a dessert. I'll definitely be making another trip for the mango milkshake! You can taste the real mango Very courteous staff that let us know the chicken would be freshly made with a short wait. COVID-19 notes: Their dining room is open, but they have restricted/limited seating. They also offer hand sanitizer at the front and have plexiglass around the check out.

This was a random find me, as I live in Maryland and was in VA for work purposes, but I am so glad I found this place. The chicken tenders were amazing with the Yuca sides and I would recommend everyone try it out, I definitely will come back to this spot again and try something new too. The management was super friendly and gave me a sample of there mango milkshake too. 11/10 rating for me!

Unfortunately, frito chicken wasn't as good as what we expected. We order 1/4 roasted chicken and 5 pcs fried chicken with fries. The roast chicken was ok, but it was served cold. The fried chicken was greasy and undercooked. It is a common knowledge that fried chicken need to set to rest for few minutes before serving, but our order was served directly fro the fryer. It was very hot that we couldn't even touch it at first, and then we started to cut into the meat it was watery and undercooked. The fries and side sauces were good! read more

Came here on a Sunday around 6pm. There weren't many diners inside when we got there and it seemed they did lots of carry out orders. It took a tad longer than expected for them to prepare two fried chicken entrees for us but it wasn't super long. I'm glad that it came out fresh. Had the dark meat fried chicken and it was good. Was crispy and didn't notice a lot of spice with a kick to it but it tasted fine. Maybe add a touch more salt for me but I like things salty. The fries were really good. They were seasoned fries. I'm glad I looked at some of the pictures on Yelp before I came because the fried rice is not typical fried rice. It's made with basmati rice, I think. So it's drier. The cut up veggie in it seemed fresh though. It didn't have a lot of flavor so I added some salt to it. It might be good if they had some soy sauce at the condiments counter to add to their rice. Our orders came with some green and white sauce, sauces that would typically come a Peruvian chicken place. This was a bit confusing as we didn't order the roasted chicken. Some families came in towards the end of our visit and the place filled up. Over all good fried chicken. I'd come again but wouldn't say it was the best fried chicken. Then you have the interesting Indian fried rice and Peruvian notes like the green and white sauces and yuca. read more

Amazing fried chicken. Right amount of spice, and not greasy like other places. Owner is very friendly and helpful. She indicated that every thing is done in store with her own recipe...which is simply great. I also tried the roasted chicken and wings... I visited Frito Chicken in mid April and I haven't been back since so hopefully the cons have been improved. Pros: Chicken is very tasty and has a nice spicy kick to it. Cons: the restaurant was dirty, my feet were sticking to the floor--of course this made me wonder about the food I was purchasing The young lady working asked if I wanted any sauces, I said sure, what are my options. She couldn't tell me, she said I'm not really sure??? One sauce was a "house sauce" so I asked if that was the special sauce or the sauce they were known for--she didn't know. Upon getting home and trying the 'house sauce' I immediately recognized it, it was Italian Salad Dressing! The worker didn't realize that Fritos house sauce was the salad dressing. Last problem for me was the fried rice, this was awful! It was beyond dry and flavorless. Normally I would have returned the item, however, the same worker (as described above) didn't return my receipt to me when I picked up my order. Lesson learned. At this point the chicken isn't that great for me to return. Hopefully they have improved their cleanliness and the staff has gotten better. read more

Okay so the service wasn't that bad I liked the cashier however, the food on the other hand... I got a chicken sandwich fries and mashed potatoes and I am not exaggerating when I say this is quite possibly the most bland food I've ever had at a restaurant. The chicken sandwich was literally two bland dry tenders thrown in a bun and the fries were basically potato sticks no salt on them, those mashed potatoes though that was the worst mashed potatoes I've ever had and it's not close no seasoning just tastes like ground potato in a bowl. Overall I'd rate 1/5 because their service was alright but as far as their food goes it's no good read more

This place is worth the wait the chicken is hot and fresh so your order will take 20 mins(call ahead). The yuca fries are good with their white sauce. I've had the rice wasn't a big fan the mashed potatoes were good. Customer service is really awesome love this little place. read more

AHH finally a delicious Peruvian/fried chicken spot in Ashburn!!! (also, halal meat!)We ordered roasted chicken and fried chicken and both were brought out fresh and steaming. The chicken was so juicy and tender it was falling off the bones. The roasted chicken had a nice smoky flavor and the fried chicken's batter was so flavorful. Of course, the classic yellow Peruvian chicken sauce was yummy and the other options included a STRONG barbecue and tangy buffalo sauce. We tried the sides of gravy and yuca. The gravy was tasty but the yuca could've been cooked a bit more. Service was wonderful and we were asked if we needed anything multiple times even though it's a fast-food type place. We visited this place the second day after it opened. The fried chicken tenders were crispy and fresh : needed a dash of salt but tasted good with the dipping sauces. The roast chicken is delicious! We got the thigh and breast pieces both, and they were succulent and moist. The side of mashed potatoes was tasty, and the coleslaw and fries were just okay. The service was great though, the owners stopped to talk with us and kept checking in on how we liked the food. So glad a halal fried chicken place has opened up in loco! read more

Visited this location for early dinner this weekend. The place looks dumpy . The floor and entire place was dirty looking . Our table was dirty and wobbly. The place needs painted and cleaned up . The chicken portion was extremely small , 1/4 chicken was so small . The fried rice was different and not that good . My son ordered the friend chicken it was a nice size portion . The employee at the register was very kind and friendly. Overall I would suggest people to go somewhere else to eat . They need to paint and remodel this place. And the food isn't great or worth it either . read more

What a great find!! This place is outstanding! I'll be the first to admit that I don't usually like fried chicken as I find it too greasy....but this!! OMG, their recipe is excellent...moist without being greasy. I tried pretty much everything on the menu and Everything was amazing - favorites were the 'green and yellow' sauces, yuca fries, the gravy and....well, everything!!! And the owners could not be nicer...great to see high quality, family-run businesses like this! Try it!!! read more

I've ordered from here a few times and the food is edible but not great. Today I ordered using Grubhub, went to pick up the food, and they told me that they accidentally gave away my order to someone else, that they didn't have any more food to give me and refused to cook more. Completely unacceptable service. I will never return. read more

I think it's safe to say this is the best fried chicken in all of Virginia. After moving here from NY 3 years ago it's been a struggle finding places that i really enjoy eating at or ordering from. Frito chicken filled that void almost immediately! Their fried chicken is spectacular. Not your usual heavy, oily meat - this was different - they make it in a way where there is just the right amount of oil and flavor. The meat is tender and juicy. My toddler boys, both picky eaters, love the roast chicken, and they almost never eat white meat. My husband who prefers boneless meat loves ordering the tenders. Weve had the lemon pepper wings too and they were delicious as well, it was a new flavor for me but i really enjoyed it. I see myself coming back again often, they are also very accomdating to their family meals. They are not stingy on extra plates, sauces, etc. Owners seem very friendly and they truly care about their customers. If youre unsure of where to eat out tonight, don't think twice, just GO. You won't regret it. read more

Shocked to find a halal fried chicken in the area. The wait for fresh chicken to be made is about 15 minutes, but well worth it. I probably won't try the sides again, besides the plantains. But the chicken was pretty good. read more

I wasn't impressed with the cheddar grits as I found them to be too dense with little to no flavoring. The melted cheddar cheese helped some to add flavor but I would skip ordering this side again. My husband thought that his grits were also too dense with little flavor. The sauce portion was stingy and he used it to dip his shrimp in it. He did appreciate that the shrimp were served with the tails removed and were properly cooked. Taking inflation into consideration, this dinner was reasonably priced at $58 + change before the tip. Service was good as more than one server checked on us to see if all was well. We would consider going again and perhaps trying their burgers and sandwiches.

The food was overall very flavorful, lemon pepper wings tasted like they used fresh squeezed lemon, honey barbecue wings were good (would satisfy a craving for them). The poutine was the star of the show with gravy, cheese, and hot sauce. I was pleasantly surprised how well the hot sauce complemented the fries, cheese, and gravy. The chicken burger was well put together - reminiscent of chick fil a but better. The chicken was not nearly as soggy as chik fil a and it's came with lettuce, tomato, and Mayo. I went back to Frito Chicken on Sunday with few friends we ordered 16pc fried chicken. They told us that they will make it fresh so we had to wait 15 mins. the good thing was the chicken was fresh and juicy, the wings were little too small but i guess wings suppose to be small. everything else was pretty good, the person came over few times to make sure everything was fine and if we need any extra sauce. Lot of other places even charge for extra sauce but these guys are awesome and gave us quite a few sauces. I definitely recommend this place and I will be returning for more great food. read more
